Sarah has been a stylist since 2006 and has worked at a few of San Francisco’s top salons since 2010. She has been the very proud owner of Cloak & Dagger Salon since 2015. Sarah strives to stay on trend with current styles and techniques, takes high pride in her work and has a strong relationship with her guests.

This is single seat salon operated by Sarah and is currently in a non-​descript cubbie next to the coffee shop (she is moving in the next months).
Men’s hair cut. A delightful person and established local reputation, solid professional and reasonable prices, definitely should seek out. Salon itself is quite comfy, private and without the normal hectic buzz in a typical salon. Quality cutting, good consultation on my expectations and delivered as required. A+

Sarah is the best. I have finally found a hairstylist that can tame my unruly locks into something beautiful. I usually wear my hair up every day, now I’m excited to wear it down and love the way it falls. It also usually takes an hour and a half for someone to cut my hair and Sarah managed to cut, shampoo, condition and blow dry all within an hour. She is super talented and highly recommend her for all your haircare needs!

Sarah is great! I’ve been in the city for 10 months now and have had her cut my hair twice. Both times were enjoyable, easy, and entertaining.
She’s quick so it’s easy to get in and out if you have a busy lifestyle like I do. I keep my cuts simple and she seems to know what will work best with my style and head shape. I would recommend her to anyone!

So glad I found Sarah at her new salon. She used to cut my awhile back at her old salon. I called the other day and found out she no longer worked there. After searching for awhile I found her at cloak and dagger. I won’t be going anywhere else anymore. The only time I ever get any compliments on my hair is when she cuts it. I highly recommend her!

About six months ago I had Sarah cut and color my hair (ombré) at her old salon. After calling there to make an appointment a few weeks back, I was bummed to hear that she had left. But after some lightweight Unilocal stalking I found out that she had opened her own salon in SoMa and I was thrilled! I saw her again last night for a trim and some balayage and I absolutely love it. I mean, we watched John Oliver while my color set. Such a great experience!

Sarah is the best. She’s been my stylist for a a year plus and have no complaints. I’m a model and always have to keep my hair looking good! She’s never let me down! She now owns her own salon, which is amazing! She’s talented, friendly and personal. And you can’t beat her prices! I will continue to go to Sarah until I no longer can! She’s one of the best in SF!

After living in San Francisco since 2009, and going to no less than 6 colonists I have finally found «the one.» I went to Sarah on a recommendation and I couldn’t be happier. She did a great job with the color, and she also gave me a fantastic cut. She’s a self proclaimed artist and I’m inclined to agree. She loves using the balayage technique of applying color and her freehand is great. I’ll be referring her to anyone who listens & of course I’ll be returning too.

I used to go to another stylist in this exact location on Ritch Street. One day, that stylist disappeared and a new stylist appeared in her place. I thought, Eh, what the heck — I liked and trusted the previous stylist with my hair, so I’ll give the new one (and a new name, Cloak & Dagger) a try.
I’m very happy with Sarah’s work. I’ve only seen her a couple times so far, but she does natural-​looking, natural color *and* cuts. Plus, I’d much rather be in this kind of back-​alley, intimate setting than in a busy salon.
It’s also very close to Caltrain, as well as some good SoMa restaurants and wine bars, so it’s easy enough to commute in from the south bay or peninsula and/​or meet up with friends in the city afterwards.

This salon makes you feel special, rather than the larger busier ones where you feel like you are being moved through a process as fast as possible. You get full one on one attention from Sarah. I went for a cut and color and a month later I’m still so pleased with the effect. Another plus was that Sarah did not weigh my hair down with product when drying it, she let her cut stand for itself.

The name fits. I left with a smirk on my face thinking that I knew of a secret place to get my hair cut and that everyone passing me by was simultaneously admiring my new coif and wondering where I got the trim.
Sarah is awesome, friendly and talented. Ask one of the coffee patrons for the secret knock sequence to the red door … or try the doorbell.

This isn’t your average salon. For starters, it’s stealthy. There’s a secret alley. A locked door. A hard-​to-​find doorbell. You might have to ask the barista at the trendy coffee place next door. Just arriving made me feel like I’d discovered a secret part of pre-​tech San Francisco.
Then there is Sarah who really takes the time to understand what you want. In my case, it was simple: «Do whatever you need to improve my Hot-​or-​not score» (that is, if I were to use Hot-​or-​not). I’m certain she succeeded. I left feeling pretty handsome.
Highly recommended. It’s my new go-​to place.

Sarah is a very professional and very capable hair stylist. When I heard that she was taking over the ThidaStyle salon, I figured I should check her out. Thida does such good work and connects so well with her clients that I was 100% sure she picked Sarah for a reason. Sarah definitely measured up! Perfect haircut after listening to what I wanted… I recommend and will repeat!
