El Pipila was born out out generations-​old family recipes from Mexiacn state of Guanajuato. The dishes we serve highlight regional specialties found in homes and streets of our hometown. Named for the legendary guardian figure, El Pípila proudly serves as your Guardian of Guanajuatan flavor.

The pozole is just to die for (there’s BACON in it). So glad these people have a permanent space on Market St now so I don’t have to wait to have it at Off the Grid on Friday night.
The sopes are also great. I tend to prefer nopales (cactus) to picadillo but they’re always tastyl

Had lunch catered from this place today, and it was awesome. We had tortilla shaped corn masa, rice, beans, a couple different kinds of meat, cactus, lettuce, salsa, cheese, & sour cream. It was buffet style, so everyone could customize their plates exactly how they wanted. All the vegetarian food (the only stuff I can eat) was really tasty, and I’m really hoping that we get catering from them again soon. Definitely one of the best catered lunches I’ve had at work.

Awesome! Delivery was way ahead of time. Food was delicious.
The picadillo sopes was extremely tasty, and I much preferred it over the pollo sopes. Mexican rice and refried beans were great sides too.
Definitely gonna be having more of this!
