D’maize Catering

This meal was a particular surprise for me – enjoyable and disappointing in unexpected ways. The biggest shock was the rice. I found that most of the underperforming vendors we’ve had of late produced remarkably delicious rice; however, D’Maize’s rice was dry where others have been luscious, under-​heated where others had been perfectly cooked, and flavorless where others had been imbued with superb sapidity. The salad was of such little note, that I question my words in this very sentence…
Nevertheless, I was charmed by this vendor, and I hope to see them again. I am a fan of papusas, in hhhenerál, and would happily devour these pleasure-​packed, cheese-​permeated pancakes of Salvadorian satisfaction till the end of my days, covered with pickled cabbage and dripping with red-​sauce.
While La Santaneca, Panchitas, and Majahual hold higher esteem in my papusa paradise, I’d be delighted to have D’Maize in the rotation.
I wish I could give half-​stars, because they are certainly better than «meh,» but I’m not an exuberant fan.

Chicken pupusas were decent but a little plain tasting. The catering service was fast, though. Next time, I’d probably go with the grilled chicken.

I had Merlin’s Catering at work recently for onsite service. The pupusas were the perfect size and it was very nice to have them fresh off the griddle. The salad was great as well!

We had them catered for my works weekly lunch. It was cool that the guy showed up and made the pupusas on a griddle right there in our kitchen. Talk about fresh!
On the downside, the pupusas were a little on the bland side. And the red sauce was not very red, but more like a watery garlicky sauce.
Not the best, but not the worst either.
