Last Friday I happened to be driving by on my way to Safeway. The door was open and somebody was inside. I called the phone number and someone answered. He told me he was the new owner and that the previous German owner retired and returned to Germany along with his wife.
I didn’t have time to go in but I will in the next few weeks.

I also have had amazing service from Harry. I came in to get a rubbing compound to fix a scratch I got pulling out of my garage, and Harry came out of the store to fix it himself. Charged me nothing for what would have cost $ 300 or more at a shop. What I know is that he will have all of my business car-​parts related. His pricing beats the big guys and he is a gem.

This is just for the auto parts place. The guy helping me had what I wanted, wasn’t pushy about selling anything, and recommended a cheaper part than what I was going to get. Overall, it was a fine experience and it felt good to support a local business. The place is definitely a little run down and some people may not like that.

My dad would take me here as a kid. This is one of the last independently own auto parts shops in the city. Besides all the aforementioned, the place sells good cheap oil and filters. You really can’t go wrong coming here especially if your a backyard mechanic like I am. Thanks Harry!

I’ve never even written a review, but had to after visiting the Economy Auto Parts. The owner was I credibly helpful and kind. This is a sweet little store with great customer service.
The owner hasn’t upgraded much since he first opened this store, but that’s perfectly fine since the price is right. I prefer paying him cash to make transactions easier, but was short of cash after one visit. The owner was so kind and trustworthy that he kindly offered to have me bring the few dollar difference back when I had a chance.
I love small businesses like this. I absolutely recommend you here if you like being treated with care and concern.

This place is nice find! Stopped in Saturday afternoon to get a new set of new wiper blades for my 1995 Honda Del Sol. Not only did Harry (longtime owner) have what I needed but he surprised me by installing them on the spot. Cost per blade? $ 4 installed. I also picked up $ 8 headlamp for my 2006 Honda Pilot.
Harry has been at this location for 37+ years and it shows. The neat and tidy shop is throwback to the days before overstuffed chain auto parts stores moved in and made us all slaves to rather soulless experience.
BTW, in talking Harry up about the history of his place, I learned he’s contemplating retiring in a year or so. Until then, Economy Auto Parts is my go to spot.

Not only did the amazing old man take the time to ensure that he given me the right bulb for my headlight, he even installed it (and taught me how to do it in the future). Yep, he closed the shop down for a few minutes to help. He’s been there for 37 years, and I hope he has 37 more!

I wish there were more places like this. The shop is perfectly organized, the gentleman who worker there was pleasantly helpful and the fact that he takes card the old fashioned way is awesome! Went in for towels, armoral, and fabric cleaner for $ 10

SO good! The old guy that runs this little place is amazing! I brought my short-​bus there to get a head and taillight replaced, but the taillight was a bit of a issue. I managed to get it removed from the bus, casing and all, and then we brought it inside and pondered over it. It’s one of those lights that has a plastic red cover with a standard looking bulb underneath. Logic says you just need to remove the cover and get a new little bulb, but that proved more difficult than expected. After both of us trying to open it and scratching our heads we decided it was designed to be completely replaced with another one, which would probably be found at an RV shop. The headlight, on the other hand was easily replaced, and he even helped me find a dropped screw which I was working on it in front of his shop. To top it off he only charged me 8 $ for the headlight. Eight bucks!
Great deal, great owner; support this shop!

The owner is really friendly and knowledgeable, definitely coming back again when I need anything auto related.

This place rocks! Went in looking for some Rain-​X. Instead of up selling me the larger spray version, he
encouraged me to buy the small regular bottle.
When, I told him about my upcoming drive to Tahoe, he gave me an ice scraper for free!

I had been needing wiper blades for a while now — well, let’s just say I’ve been putting it off way too long and my blades just left nasty wet smudges across my windshield.
So when I heard we were heading into a particularly wet weekend I knew I couldn’t put if off any longer. So I called up the Unilocal app on my iPhone (!!!) and searched for auto parts & supplies.
This little place was well-​reviewed. I thought «I’m nearby so why not…»
Let me just tell you — GO HERE! Why?
1) the store seems to have everything — even in such a small space.
2) it’s a local store, owned by the same man for decades!
3) the owner (I think his name is Karl) seems very knowledgeable about auto parts and seemed to anticipate my needs the minute I walked in.
4) he had the exact wipers I needed and then — and this blew me away — he went outside to my car and installed them in seconds! And when I offered a tip he waved it off saying «no, no, it is part of your purchase.»
Rarely do we have a chance in our Target and WalMart driven society to just get the simple care we need. So, I know this is just auto supplies — but this place is worthy of our business.

Before buying any auto part from the large chains, I check with Economy Auto Parts to see if the owner can get me the part. I needed an oil cartridge for my 2008 Chevrolet and he was able to get it cheaper than the chains. He can’t get everything I need but I I buy all the auto fluids here including oil, brake fluid, antifreeze, transmission fluid, etc. The store is never crowded and there is usually parking available right in front. I have been buying from the German owner since 1995 and I will continue to go here until he closes.

This is the kind of place that you want to keep in business. An older German gentleman runs the place, writes you a hand written receipt, and keeps his cardigan tucked into his high-​rise pants.
He doesn’t sell timing lights, compression gauges or other diagnostic tools, but seems to have a great array of parts for such a small shop.
I have a Merkur XR4Ti — the German made Ford wondercar. Most people pronounce this «Mur-​ker», so it was refreshing to hear the proprietor pronounce it the proper German way: «Mare-​Koor».

Man what can’t I say about this PLACE!
I can simply say that this is the BEST place for Auto Parts!
For whatever car you have this place has the parts.
Also, the owner has a Very good supply of oil, oil filters, and other fluids.
When I first discovered this place I was very HAPPY! My experiences continue to be the best!
I can find everything that I need for my Corolla!
I HIGHLY Recommend this place to everyone or anyone who reads this review or is looking for a great alternative from the big box chains!
The ower is very down to earth! He even make me laugh from time to time. Whenever I ask him about something that has to do with my car he responds with the best of his knowledge. The owner has been in the automotive business for over 50 YEARS!
He has a great knowledge of Classic American cars and of course of the imports.
The products he offers are the best! And at the best prices!
This is the place to find a great deal on everything!
The store has all your basic needs to maintain your car.
