Duk Hing has a chinese written sign in front window offering roast pork @4.99. there was one word i couldn’t comprehend. went into shop,. saw 2 pricing for roast pork, 9.99 and 4.99. obviously, the cheaper price refers to undesirable cuts. offerings: ready to scoop chinese entrees, fresh meats, frozen meat/seafood, chinese deli(roasties, roast duck@15., etc. take outs: –ready to go entrees not priced. so passed –passed also on «4.99» roast pork. –shop not so busy.

This is where my mom usually gets her roast duck to go whenever she is in Chinatown. I’ve gone a few times as well. Yeah it’s not the cleanest but what do you expect from a busy butcher shop in Chinatown? They have the usuals but we really only get the roast duck and sometimes the pork here. They don’t speak English as well so you’re better off pointing. Cash only I believe or it was the last time I’ve been here. Damn I wish I lived closer to something like this in LA.

Clean store since it went through a renovation. Good food and good service. I tried the Hai Nan Chicken and BBQ Pork from here, they are both delicious. I am coming back to get BBQ/Roast Pork and Hai Nan Chicken when I am in Chinatown.

One of my favorite places to come to get Chinese roast duck. When I was really young, probably before my teens, I would walk in with my mother to buy duck for dinner, right after I was finished with Chinese school. That’s probably why I have a fond memory of this place. It’s still going strong after all these years. Give it a try if you’re ever in the mood for a good duck meal.

I can’t decide if I like this place or not. I came here simply because there wasn’t a line outside the door. I was in a hurry and craving for duck. The duck was pretty on par with everywhere else… less fatty though. Which I prefer anyway. For $ 13/duck, I really can’t complain. :)

This is probably the least frequented location on Stockton. It has its bbq — they are either one of the few or the only place that carries goose and other items like: pork intestines, ginger spice chicken wings and feet, duck heads… etc. Today I got their spicy pig intestines and the ginger spice chicken wings and feet — both were very good. They also have fresh meat inside and some frozen meat.

My quest for finding good Chinese deli continues. I got the duck and honey roasted spare ribs to add to my noodle soup for dinner. The duck was a bit dry and the guy chopped it into small pieces that made it awkward to eat due to the bones in the way. The spare ribs however were tender, sweet, and fell off the bones easily. I wouldn’t mind going back for those next time.
