Got a Bang Mi here at 10am on a Monday morning. Sandwich in my hands in 5 min. For a $ 5 sandwhich, its pretty good. The meat was a little skimpy, so one less star for that. But overall, a pretty decent, fast option for Banh Mi

Solid spot to get cheap bagels and extras in the morning. Right across from work and solid service is always on tap. Bagels aren’t the freshest, but the toasting is always well done and I get in and out in under 3 minutes.

… Lol it’s always heartening when you’re a very serious Unilocaler and you accidentally check into a place that you see literally has 1.5 stars … like damn. Not sure why this place has such low reviews. Stopped by for breakfast and then got distracted by the Vietnamese sandwiches. My coworker got a bagel which only took a minute or two which is basically how long people have to spend on food when they’re in FiDi which was totally reasonable. I got a combination Vietnamese sandwich that literally took 15 minutes wtf? Maybe it’s because it was the morning and they didn’t expect people to order a sandwich that early and didn’t have the ingredients ready? Unclear, but dude. If you’re in FiDi, you don’t have time to wait fifteen minutes for a sandwich to be prepared especially if there is no line. The sandwich wasn’t bad, but just a respectable three at the end of the day. Nothing great about it – I still much prefer Lee’s Sandwiches which is pretty different. tldr; tiny place that i guess really isn’t that bad … but treat it more as a quick grab and go

Lee’s sandwiches are cheap but you get what u pay for. I really like their pastrami on a wheat roll, but at both locations I’ve been to(CA st and Montgomery) the back ends of both halves of my sandwich had no meat, veggies or even condiments, the build the sandwich in the center of the roll and leave the outsides bare. I’d rather go to Good luck on Kearny and get more for the same price or Max’s in the BofA building and get three times as much as well as service with a smile for a few bucks more. These people at lee’s act like you are for real bothering them. I noticed the soup counter said a small was $ 2.95, might scope that out in the future, although judging by the sandwiches, dare I ask how small a small is on the soup?

Vietnamese victory. Such a dramatic one and a half star rating from everyone. Is this fine dining? Absolutely not. But is it a solid $ 4 Vietnamese chicken sandwich? Absolutely. Comes with a little more flavor than most thanks to soy sauce and salt and pepper along with the standard fixings. Held off the mayo and it was still good. While we didn’t become friends the staff were certainly quick and efficient. Set expectations accordingly and you just might win.

I know this shop has a prime location and I go back occasionally but I would love it if the ladies SMILED once and a while… much prefer friendly woman at Fida’s down the street for less money and definitely fresher food.

What a joke… that the Vietnamese sandwich is labeled as such. It’s overly salty and I asked for no headcheese which they ignored, and they asked me 3 times if I wanted everything, which I said yes to every time. And they forgot that I ordered it, and not some other lady. It’s deplorable service, and tiny location. Also, your clientele speaks English… it would be smart if you did too. Instead of making snide commentary in Chinese or yelling from the register. Overall, I won’t be coming here if I’m in a hurry. The other locations are much better.

Simply put its cheap food and cheap quality… I’d love to see Lee’s disappear in the FiDi… I’d much rather have Subway over this any day

When the craving for spicy chicken craving hits me you’ll find me at Lee’s. I’m totally addicted to Lee’s hot Chinese food buffet. Sandwiches are cheap, location is convenient, prices aren’t terrible. There’s better food out there, but if your looking for a fix of Chinese greasy food purchased by the pound, this place rocks.

Customer service is horrid. The employees here are the rudest you will ever encounter and clearly hate having to work for a living. The food quality is cheap and that’s why I go so I fully expect that sometimes the food will be uneatable and that’s OK but the way the employees treat their customers is so bad its worth seeing for yourself, its almost funny, that is if you like being treated like dirt.

Worst meatloaf sandwich ever. Cheap bread. Poor quality meat. I just got nothing else.

Gr, should have looked at Unilocal first. I was planning to go to Soup co but the line was ridiculous so I decided to give this Lee’s a try. Yes they were fast, but my turkey sandwich was just not impressive and with so many other options in the area I will not be back.

I am going to be the ‘outlier’ here and only because this is a known quantity: Lee’s Deli. Anyone who has worked in the City for anytime knows Lee’s are known for cheap, fast food that is sometimes delivered with curt and abrupt service. These folks aren’t paid like the person at Specialties and aren’t worked like them either. But you don’t pay $ 10 for a $ 5 sandwich at Lee’s either, so stop your bitchin’ and take your cheap sandwich/bagel and be happy you saved a bunch of your hard-earned dollars for the price of a snarly helper. And to speak-up for the workers at this place: this place is tiny! I mean it brings to mind the«box» in Cool Hand Luke — «anyone caught trying to escape, spends a night in the Box» as the foreman would say. It is always 30 degrees too warm and just wide enough to fit me in there with crisco rubbed onto my hips! If you had to work in here each day, you’d be snarly. In fact, if you knew you had to come back to work here the next day, most of us normal people would put our heads in the toaster and let it burn us into oblivion. Give these folks a break! It’s a crap job making sandwiches for FiDi foodies snobs who want cheap eats! Not a career choice, but a career dead-end. Small price to pay for keeping your dough in your pocket, not someone elses. Take the $ 5 you saved on your sandwich(in comparison to any other place in FiDI) and go buy a new attitude! This place delivers exactly what it promises — cheap eats!

I go there everyday because it is convenient but in all honesty I think today might be might last day. Here are the main complaints: The people that work there seem very unhappy. They simply give off a bad vibe. The glove situation. I’ve seen it too. They make a sandwich, and go to the cashier. But most of the time, there is only one person as the cashier and they are usually good about this. The eggs for the egg bagels. It’s already bad enough to nuke an egg, but they put 30 eggs in some bottle, stir it, and refrigerate it. When you want an egg sandwich, they just pour a little out of that«bottle of egg» into their plastic nuked container. It lacks taste. Nobody speaks English. And they are always on automatic pilot working like machines to get you in and out. While they are efficient and fast, it’s a bad experience. Communication is very poor and insincere.

Sorry to break the one-star streak here, but my chicken salad on wheat was decent. The service was annoying indeed, but fortunately a tag-team: one couldn’t understand my requests and the other did and corrected the other. Comical, really.

Ok, english is not their first language, but don’t mistake this for their short communication, the ladies that work here are extremely rude — barking out orders to you to order, step aside, hand them money. Sandwiches are hastily slapped together, cream cheese isn’t spread, but a hard slice is laid on your bagel. There’s no place to stand and wait for your order, either. I’d think twice about eating anything out in the open, like their salad bar. Those sneeze guards do nothing against all the traffic breezing in and out of the place. Makes me wish i frequented the mom & pop deli that existed here before Lee’s moved in. At least there’s Good Luck Café and Deli not too far away.

Quality of breakfast bagels — Average Quality of service — Fast but incredibly Stupid Area of grave annoyance to me — I go to this Lee’s probably once a week on my way into work. I am usually not awake. Groggy and sleepy. I always order«Plain bagel with salmon cream cheese, sprouts, and tomatoes.» The same asian lady yells back at me «NO. No have SALMON cream cheese.» I then stare blankly at her, because this is what I ALWAYS get from Lee’s. Then it dawns on me. «But you have Lox cream cheese?» «YES. Have Lox cream cheese.» I then try to explain to her for the 20th time that Lox is a form of salmon. But to no avail. Then, ½ the time, I get my bagel, go upstairs to my office, and unpackage it. Only to find that the salmon/lox dialogue has caused the bagel lady to forget my sprouts and tomatoes. The most annoying part is that I have realized that I’m the stupid one here. There is NOWAY that I should even hope that the Lee’s deli lady has enough brain cells to understand that Lox = Salmon. Why why why have I been irritating myself with this pointless exchange for the past few months? I’m much better off going to Latte Express a block away. (No, I’m not awake enough to remember to change my order to «Plain bagel with lox cream cheese, sprouts, and tomatoes. It’s usually 6:30 in the am. And I’m not that smart.)

Great sandwich(I had the egg salad/olive) but truly annoying set-up as there is nowhere to stand if you are waiting to place an order. You are either blocking access to the drinks, the salad bar or the back area for employees. Truly annoying.

My co-worker went here last week and he had to throw his sandwich away. Why you ask? Well it doesn’t matter if the workers wear gloves — the problem was the person doubled as the sandwich maker and cashier and never took off her gloves when she handled the money. Think of it this way — she handled your roast beef sandwich with the same gloves that she handled the change of the patron right before you.
