History

Established in 2004.

When I left my full time administrative position, I knew I didnt want another one. Every morning I would walk my dog, my roomates two dogs, and a friends’ dog up to Corona Park. I loved doing it, and I got to know all the local dogwalkers. One day back in 2004, I realized that I was already a dogwalker, and went into business. Having benefitted from experience working with a canine behavioralist, I was confident in my handling skills. The packs have grown through the years, but I still walk several dogs from those early days.

I’m Dave Schofield, owner and founder of Dogs with David. You’ll find me to be an honest, reliable, easy-​going and friendly sort. My clients entrust the dogs they love to me. I feel it is my responsibility to give these dogs the same love, respect and care that they would get at home.

I have gone through one-​on-​one obedience and handling training with my own pets. I worked for a year with a dog behavioralist training an aggressive rescue dog. I learned a lot about handling in difficult situations from that experience.

How did I get into this business? For years I was walking and boarding my friends dogs, my roommates dogs, the neighbors dogs, my dogs: dogs, dogs, dogs… just because I loved them. I received many comments on my natural affinity to win a dog’s trust and obedience. One day I realized I loved it so much that I wanted a job working with dogs. So, I went into business. Dogs with David is founded on my passion for pooches. You can see I love what I do.
