Description

Specialties

Fine and rare Old World wines. We maintain the world’s largest collection of rare German Riesling, featuring wines acquired annually at the German wine auctions as well as during our annual pilgrimage to our favored regions and producers.

«Located on San Francisco’s Pier 19, Dee Vine Wines is a throwback to speakeasy days, when tasting wine was done in a warehouse amidst floor-to-ceiling stacks of the wine you happen to be sipping. Only here, it’s legal!»

Stop in to visit our fine wines from Germany, Spain and France, as well as private collections we’ve acquired for resale.

History

Established in 1999.

Dee Vine Wines began life as a direct-to-consumer wine retailer best known for its coffee-table quality catalogs. Several years into the dot-com bust, they expanded into the wholesale business, and today they provide luxury-class wines to some of the Bay Area’s best restaurants.

In 2010 they increased their focus on the retail market, launching a more useful online wine shop and taking advantage of online and mobile marketing opportunities.

They now host several annual on-site events for their local customers. These popular events are limited to the first 100 respondents.

Meet the Business Owner

Dade T.

Business Owner

Dade was in the wine business for years before starting Dee Vine Wines. The logo for our company was one he discovered on a post card in an antique stationery store in Vienna. It dates from the mid 1800’s. Now old Dee reigns over all of his company’s publications.

Dade maintains a sizable personal cellar that features enviable antiquities, and a commercial inventory that exceeds 2000 different wines.
