An update to all who were interested… JAQK Cellars no longer does tastings!

This is a great place with wonderful wine (cooler wine bottles). You don’t even notice its there unless you’re actually looking for it (and even then we missed it!)
We went for a party (I seriously want to have every party here) and they had a huge platter of cheese, meat, bread and wine to taste. Megan, the host, was amazing and made our time so much fun.
If you haven’t tried JAQK, make an appointment and do it! Its more than worth it!

Thank goodness for LivingSocial and another wonderful discovery we would have never heard of without it! The JAQK Cellars tasting room is hidden on the second floor of a Jackson Street office building, with no signage that would attract anyone just passing by, so you have to definitely hear about this wonderful place somewhere. I have to say this was one of the best wine tasting and food pairing’s I’ve been to. Unfortunately our hostess didn’t formally introduce herself, so none of the ten of us there knew her name, but she was friendly and informative. The food pairings went splendidly with the five wines we tasted. We were lucky enough to be there with a great crowd as we were seated at a big table with eight strangers, all lovely people, and it turned out to be a great social evening. We tasted one Chardonnay and four reds, paired with two meats, bread, two cheeses, chocolate, almonds and berries. This was definitely enough for a meal! Don’t eat beforehand! There was no one wine I didn’t enjoy… even the Chardonnay, and I don’t like white wines! Towards the end of the evening, which runs about two hours, we were able to go to the rooftop and enjoy our last glass of wine.
This is a definite «must do» as part of an evening out. Unfortunately, for those of us who don’t life in the city, the tastings are only Monday thru Thursday, so, you may have to plan to take the next day off depending where you live… but it’s well worth it!

Unfortunately a split decision rating. The wine is scrumptious, no doubt! And I’d have to give their wine collection a 4.5. That’s the good news for any wine drinker that drinks their hooch!
However. I found the listing on Unilocal by accident as I was in SF for a few days and noted that it their «tasting room» was only a short walk away from the St. Francis! Yahoo! Great luck! A tasting room of a known quantity wine in downtown SF! Fantastic! I called first and got an unhelpful message on their corporate VM. Nothing mentioned about the tasting details and no way to access a real person to ask questions.
Nonetheless, the hours on Unilocal were until 6pm and I figured I’d take a little hike there. Upon arriving at the location, it was clear that this location was really just a business address. We walked upstairs only to find people in cubicles. I asked the nearest person I could find about the tasting room. After she disappeared, Kelsey, who is the «Marketing Manager» appeared. I offered to shake her hand upon greeting her and she said her hands were greasy and she refused to shake my hand. She then said that tastings were only by prior appointment, only at 6pm, and only Monday through Thursday and that lastly, they have a private event tonight (Thursday), but I could call her up to set up an appointment. Disappointed, we left.
Hopefully you’ll be able to taste their wines at «Tasting Offices», but just be mindful of the rules above to avoid disappointment! I do wish that they mentioned this on their lengthy, but not helpful prerecorded message!

A great tasting experience with very knowledgable wine consultants. The tasting room is on the second floor of their offices and set up to be a very nice, intimate and enjoyable space for participants. We tasted and paired wines with different cheeses, meats, berries and of course, chocolate. The JACQ wines are quire enjoyable — and are really a good value for NAPA wines. All of the wines are good — and — will pair well with foods. Try their Chardonnay, Merlot, Cab and Syrah. As one reviewer said, it is a hidden gem — and — that’s correct.
I loved the ambience of the room — nice table, comfortable chairs, great wines, nice food parings, nice music and an opportunity to learn more about wines and winemaking from experts. It was indeed, a very enjoyable experience.

JAQK is my first ever wine club. So I have very little to compare them too. I do know that the wines are great. The people running the winery are very friendly and helpful and the wine pick up parties are a good way to get some good wine and great meats and cheeses. Worth a try for sure

JAQK wines are decent, nothing spectacular, would not recommend them. I attended a holiday event where JAQK participated as a vendor and ordered a bottle for a holiday gift. I was misled by JAQK about the cost of the product and shipping and now have a $ 65 over-​priced bottle of Syrah. No response yet about when/​if I’ll be refunded.

I had a great night here – it’s actually the office space for JAQK, but the tasting room seems to have been made for this space. Definitely would recommend!

JAQK wines are absolutely delicious and the labels are so creative and fun. They make the perfect gift and their packaging both on the bottles and the gift boxes (many of which come with a deck of cards) are so whimsical and unique.
I organized a team event for my office at JAQK and Kelsey was such a pleasure to work with. The original founders of JAQK were there and shared stories about the wines and the history of the designs on the bottles and we had such an amazing time. They were so kind and gracious and this would be a great setting for a group of friends to do a private tasting or for a birthday party or team event.
Such a find in the middle of the city!

I had tasted JAQK wines once before and really enjoyed the wine and was very excited to hear that they had private tastings. I work in sales and thought it would be a great client outing. We had a small group of clients and I worked with Kelsey to set everything up. She was fantastic and super easy to work with.
We tasted all of JAQK’s wines and I must say that all of them were very good. We also had the tasting with food and the pairings were great.
JAQK Cellars is such a hidden gem in San Francisco but I would definitely recommend getting friends or clients together to have a tasting here as I’m planning on doing it again.

I had my 30^th birthday at JAQK cellars tasting room in Jackson Square, San Francisco. I could not have been more pleased with my experience. The staff, David Dees & Kelsey, were fantastic to work with through the entire process from planning to support on the day of the event. They made sure that my day was special and provided a stress-​free event for me and my friends to enjoy. The wine, of course, was phenomenal, and having David and Kelsey there to ensure all the guests were taken care of made for a top notch event. On top of the delicious wine and great spread of food to accompany the tasting, the space was great. Had enough room for everyone to mingle and even access to the roof for a great view of the financial district and Coit Tower. I even opted for a video of the event that featured my guests enjoying the night and wishing me a happy birthday. Everyone left happy and they sure made my 30^th birthday a memorable event. I would gladly use the space again for future events. It comes with my HIGHEST recommendation.
