DCL is great! The whole process was seamless — I called for more info and was told I could come in same day with the artwork/​jackets. They turned the order around very quickly despite the holiday season (I brought the jackets in 2 days before Christmas). There was a small issue but they handled it extremely well and accommodated all of my requests. The embroidery looks great even on super thick sweater/​fleece fabric. Would definitely come back to DCL for all future embroidery needs!

DCL is the absolute best for custom embroidery in SF. I came to them with a hand drawn logo and a bunch of hats that I needed done in a couple days. And boy did they deliver. The logo ended looking awesome and the hats were done in about 24hrs. This place is the real deal and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get some custom work done.

My boss asked me to order some sweatshirts with our logo embroidered on the bicep. I did a lot of research on companies that do custom embroidery and ultimately decided to go with DCL because they said they can do the logo on the bicep, they have good Unilocal reviews, and I think it is important to support local businesses.
I started negotiating my company’s order with Denise at DCL back in late June. The first thing I asked was if the logo could be placed on the bicep, because some companies said they couldn’t do that. I told Denise what size I wanted the logo to be, where to place it, etc. After a lot of back and forth with making sure the embroidery colors were correct, I placed an order, being very very specific about what we wanted. I even included a size breakdown in a spreadsheet because that’s the kind of executive assistant I am.
The first batch of sweatshirts we received had the logo in the wrong place. Even though I made it a point to make sure that they knew we wanted the logo on the bicep, I was super disappointed when the sweatshirts arrived and the logo was on the chest.
I contacted Jonathon at DCL and instead of apologizing for the mistake and immediately re-​doing our order for free, as I would expect a company to do, I was asked what I wanted to do. My boss decided that to go ahead and buy the incorrect sweatshirts at a lower price and allow DCL to re-​do the order. So we ended up paying for two batches of sweatshirts.
Finally, we got the new order with the logo in the correct place, but now it’s missing two sweatshirts in size 4XL. Again, I sent an email to Jonathon at DCL to let him know that we were missing two sweatshirts and asking him to please let me know how soon we could get the missing sweatshirts. In his response, instead of saying that he’d get those to us right away, he told me that the wrong size was entered on their paperwork and asked me if that made sense. End of email. Ok… no offer to get us the two missing sweatshirts, though. Sure, I guess it makes sense that there was yet another error… but I want to know what you plan to do to fix it! I responded to his email expressing my disappointment and asking again when we can expect to get the missing sweatshirts. So far I haven’t heard back.
So, now here we are in September and I’m supposed to hand out the sweatshirts at our company staff meeting tomorrow, but there are two people who won’t be getting their sweatshirts when everyone else does.
I will not use DCL again. This has been a miserable experience and I’m really ready to be done with it all.

They did a lovely job. I will say they seem to be a little unorganized, and took longer than expected, but did a great job nonetheless.

We had DCL create some custom patches of our company logo and apply them to a set of tote bags and backpacks for our Holiday client gifts. Production from start to finish was flawless! Chris and his team made sure we were closely involved in all aspects of the project to ensure that our gifts came out exactly the way we wanted.
We will definitely come back to DCL for future projects. I highly recommend this company!

Excellent customer service. I brought in one item to have monogrammed and they created a perfect design. The initials looks great. To save me the trip they sent the finished shirt to my house via UPS. Very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

I love these guys. They did our uniforms and team jackets and everything was perfect! The service was awesome and they turned everything around in a couple of weeks. Great work!

DCL was a complete life-​saver today! They took my same-​day order 4 hours before their closing time with only a 30 minute notice, provided a quality product, and did all of this without reprimanding or making me feel bad. I highly recommend this location.

I purchased a bag for my partner and wanted to add a personal touch since it was a birthday gift. I decided to monogram his nickname however since his birthday was a few days away I had no clue where to go. I started searching for companies that do embroidery and DCL was the closest to me right on Potrero Hill. When I called I spoke to Carlos who was very friendly and answered all of the questions and said for me to come in with the bag. When I arrived he came up to the office and I explained what I wanted. The best option was to create a patch with the embroidered letters and then that patch would be sewn on to the bag. Later the next day he emailed me an example of what the patch would look like and after seeing it I told him to go ahead. The next day (which was the day before my partners birthday) I emailed to check in on the progress and was told to come in later that day and it would be ready. I was pleasantly surprised to hear it was finished and ready to pick up. The entire experience of going to DCL great and recommend anyone looking for embroidery or silkscreen services to go here. The quality of the work is excellent and my gift was a hit with my partner.

Been working with them for a decade and I can honestly say they’ve never missed a deadline and their quality is always top notch. From Carlos in the art dept, to Megan in the office and Andy in production, always helpful.
When you have to have it done right and on time, this is the place to go.

I found DCL here on Unilocal when I was in need of getting some work shirts embroidered for my shop. After doing a little research I gave DCL a call and spoke with Carlos about what I needed. After I got a quote from Carlos I headed over, dropped of some shirts and the the artwork for my logo. He quickly checked it out, and emailed me a quote for the pieces I needed done but was also conscientious enough to let me know that if I supplied him with 3 more shirts I would go down the pay scale for the $/​garment charge.
Sweet! I dropped off 3 more shirts and in about a week I received an email letting me know that the shirts were ready for pick up and this is before Thanksgiving when everybody wants it now.
Five stars for great customer service, quick turn around time, competitive pricing and also for the quality of the embroidery. I’ll definitely come back to DCL when the need arises.

Being a girl with the name Landon, I know how cool it is as a little girl to get something with your name on it. This year, the Christmas gift was a kid’s apron with my niece’s embroidered name.
Thankfully, DCL took care of the last minute gift which came out beautifully. I recommend DCL for their great work (the apron came out great!) as well as their quick turnaround time on last minute needs.

I needed to sew a patch onto a hat with a very small timeframe (less than 24 hours — eek!) They were able to squeeze me in and did a great job. The stitching was perfect and the cost was very reasonable (~$ 11.) I was in and out of their studio in less than 15 minutes. The project was for a major client event and DCL Prodcutions saved the day!

I had a very difficult order to fill and DCL Productions was great! My office needed patches made to put on our company Timbuk2 bags. One of our in house artists designed the patch and we sent it off to DCL Productions. It was a very small run, with very specific requirements. Everything had to be exactly perfect — from the shade of the orange to the exact size and proportions of the image, down to the tenth of a centimeter. On top of all that, we had a deadline in about a month. Sarah helped me out a ton. DCL ran numerous samples for us and because we were only ordering a small number of patches, it was quite a nuisance for them. They were helpful, extremely fast with the turnaround, got us exactly what we wanted and had the final product delivered with time to spare!
If you are ordering from them though, I would suggest trying to get everything done in house and not take the option of having one of their outside vendors help out. The outside vendor was more difficult to work with, not as patient with us and it was more difficult with a middle man.

did a great job, monogramming a cashmere sweater last minute in the heat of christmas 2007’s holiday rush. the embroidery guy there (forgot his name, but his desk was right next to the receptionist’s) went over different color options, font styles and sizes with me patiently and whipped that sweater into shape in about 15 minutes. called and said that it was gonna be $ 20, but when i got there it was $ 25. probably because i got slightly bigger lettering than normal monogramming, but hey it was a small price to pay for my procrastination. absolutely will be my place for monogramming and embroidery from now on. yeeeee!

these guys do all of my embriodery and always take the time to make sure things come out RIGHT. And they let me come down, look over their shoulder, pick through the catalogs and go through 80 different shades of brown to get the one that I think is right — then kindly explain why the other one will look a lot better. Good turn around time and go the extra mile. can’t ask for more.
