Description

Specialties

I am a certified massage therapist working out of my home studio in Baja Noe Valley, San Francisco. I am trained in Therapeutic Swedish Massage as well as Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release.

As an avid cyclist, swimmer, and yoga practitioner, I am especially attuned to the kinds of attention our bodies might need when we overdo it on the bike, in the pool, or on the mat. I’ve been there.

That said, I offer massage to men and women of all ages and body types. I tailor every session to your own specific wants and needs. I also offer discounts for first-time clients, referrals, and students.

My home studio is quiet, comfortable, warm, and clean. Parking is available, though I’m very near to a lot of public transit… or you can bring your bike inside. And I play pretty cool music.

History

Established in 2009.

I have been working out of my home as a massage therapist since graduation from the San Francisco School of Massage in 2009, and have continued my training with the study of Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release (2010) and an Advanced Deep Tissue workshop (2011). I am fully certified, licenced, and insured.

Dave X.

Business Owner

A lifelong massage enthusiast, I always thought I would love to learn massage and that I would take to it naturally. I was right! I believe that massage is one of the best things you can do for yourself. I’ve been getting massage on a regular basis for over 25 years, and am constantly using those experiences as inspiration to add to my own knowledge, which I then pass on to my clients. The body is an incredible thing, and I have a passion for learning how it works and how to make it work better. I am an avid cyclist (with no car), swimmer, and yoga practitioner. When I am not doing massage or something physical, I can usually be found doing freelance copyediting, dining out, traveling, playing Scrabble, writing a blog on the intersection of 70s music and grammar, working at UCSF’s AIDS Research Institute, or ironing shirts.
