Liz is very friendly and personable, but also professional, clear and to the point in her communications. She made us a slipcover for an ottoman and a chair, and she did a beautiful job. She was helpful in selecting fabrics, and her workmanship was precise. I highly recommend her if you want to make an investment in a high quality piece.

Liz was wonderful to work with and did an excellent job putting together some large sofa cushions and making custom roman shades for my living room. Prices were competitive to Noble and Smith but with better customer service. I would absolutely use her again.

Liz just made a slipcover for my sofa bed. It’s fabulous. The fit is so perfect, it looks more like upholstery than a slipcover. The process was very smooth and easy. Turn around was quick. Quality is impeccable. She pays great attention to detail. And her fees are very fair. She even turned me on to a great discount fabric store in SF, where I found my fabric. Being a bit of a fabric junky, I thought I knew them all. But this one was a real gem. I won’t hesitate to hire Liz for my next upholstery or slipcover project. Neither should you.

Liz was a great help for my daughter’s school fair this fall. She sewed doll costumes that were a huge hit as well as cute ponchos that sold like hotcakes. She was great to work with, accurately estimating her timeframe as well as expenses. She came in on budget and ahead of schedule — always a plus when doing work for a non-​profit. I’d definitely work with her again and recommend her highly.

Liz is amazing! She made slip covers for a pair of chairs, and they look fabulous. The fit is perfect and make the chair look like it was reupholstered. The finish and attention to detail is impeccable. Her pricing is very reasonable given the high quality of the end product. I have also used Liz for some simple window treatments and they also turned out perfectly. Liz does a great job of setting a time line at the beginning of the project and making sure she finishes by the delivery date. I highly recommend Liz and will use her again.

Liz is really great to work with. I have been interested in learning to sew for awhile now, and when I saw an ad or sign for lessons right near my house, took the opportunity. I have done stuff like curtains and such, and was interested in making simple clothing items, like skirts. Liz worked with me to copy a favorite, well-​fitting skirt to make it in a different fabric, then to make a pattern I could use again and again, in case I’d like to make more in the future. Liz is really easy-​going, smart, and knows what she is doing. She taught me a lot and I am looking forward to more lessons and projects. I highly recommend Liz.

I first discovered Liz when she was working out of a space in Noe Valley last year and I needed new cushion covers for my 1950’s daybed; Liz suggested where I might find a well priced assortment of fabrics if I wanted to choose for myself and then set about sewing new covers for the seat cushion and bolsters for me — everything from the piping along the edges to the well-​hidden zippers were beautifully executed.
This year when I wanted a slipcover for my favorite amchair she even came to my home, picked it up and delivered it back done! Now who can beat that?

I’m pretty excited about checking out the drop-​in sewing class here! Will update afterwards. I like that they have drop-​in and by appt. classes since everything at Stitch and Craft Gym keeps selling out before I can get my act together. Always happy to support a local business in my hood too!
