Don’t eat here if you have a choice, however, it is a convenient way to pick up standard food items and water. I dont know why they are selling food from Beautifull down the street in laurel center. Quick solution to a food emergency but the atmosphere is a cafeteria feel. I’ve had a few things off their menu and everything is delicious. But don’t expect much. If you keep your expectations low, you will be satisfied.

The café is inside the JCC(Jewish Community Center). The offerings and prices are reasonable for what it is. Since it’s close to my work, I frequent the place. So far I’ve had their chicken tender basket(3 chickens and fries) and for $ 7 with tax, it’s a good time. Next I’ll try their hamburger. Stay tuned!

Best build your own salad around! Amazing amount of delicious add-ins which include plump tasty grilled portobellos, grilled fennel, and lots of other great choices. Big fresh salad for $ 7!

My daughter loves the Kiddie Tenders and fries($ 6). My favorite is the breakfast burrito($ 8+ everything on it). Croissants are also good but on top of the display case rather than inside of it meaning flies likely sampled it. Yum! My server Mikka and Chef Jay makes it 5 star quality.

Food is terrible but what’s worse is the horrendous customer service. And it doesn’t take 20 mins to make a goddamn sandwich

First time trying something at the community table. Got a smoothie today after my workout, got the Tropical Bliss smoothie it wasn’t very good.

The spinach nut burger is amazing! Perfect balance of flavors. I’m not a huge feta cheese fan but on this sandwich it’s perfectly balanced. I’ll come to eat it even if I haven’t just worked out, but find myself in the neighborhood hungry. Seriously delicious. I have to pace myself when I eat it.

Very bad food. Took a very long time to come out. Why anyone would eat here, I don’t know. Edit: To make this review more helpful, the falafel was terrible — soggy, not-remotely-crisp falafel, copious amounts of mayo-like tahini dressing on a falling apart piece of pita bread. Friends’ food also looked bad and was not enjoyed. The toasted standard american sandwich looked the least worst so if you end up stuck here give that a shot.

Love this little, healthy café inside the JCC. Their breakfast burrito with turkey bacon is great, and I’m a big fan of their Cobb salad, latkes, and falafel plate. Occasionally they mess up an order or two because there’s lots of young guys working the kitchen, but I’m still a big fan and supporter and never feel the need to complain. They even have a froyo machine with toppings!

The community table is kosher notwithstanding the review to the contrary. I know at passover all the bagels & baked goodies disappear for 8 days so someone is following the rules. Not sure how someone fantasized seeing shrimp and pork on the menu, but I notice the review referred to the JCC on Pierce so maybe the reviewer confused it with another place, not the JCC on California St. I am there a lot to use the gym & the current café is the best the JCC has ever had. The chicken schnitzel sandwich is my favorite. The atmosphere is lively-a mix of all ages-mothers with children & seniors there for various program plus members going to the fitness center. A really pleasant spot for a lunch.

Recently moved to SF from Boston, and after discovering there’s only one kosher meat restaurant in the whole city, I was stoked when I happened upon the JCC on Pierce and noticed a small café inside that had meat items on its menu. I thought I’d struck gold… surely a café in a JEWISH community center must be kosher. But then I noticed some other items on the menu included cheese, bacon and shrimp! I confirmed the café is not Kosher, not even close, and walked out. I think it’s morally absurd for a JCC café to serve pig and shellfish.

Outsider view. This isn’t my community. Well perhaps if you go way back in my family archives. Someone somewhere believed in something. Skipped a generation. Or three. But felt welcomed as anyone when calling their café home for a day to get work done rather than sit at home. Needed WiFi. Needed food. Perfect. Egg white veggie scramble required no customization. Plenty healthy and plenty good. Americano was the perfect balance of smooth beans and a shot of sugar free vanilla syrup. Sipped and savored. Homemade veggie burger was filled with a tasty mix of spinach and nuts. Homemade hummus provided at no charge. Side salad was an extra $ 1. Tomato and feta pizza was clean and simple. Lack of heavy cheese layer let the tomato slices shine. Snickerdoodle cookie is made by a staff member and won’t disappoint. Cinnamon flavor was potent and size generous. All ranged from good to great. Menu has plenty of Jewish specialties if you’re looking for something more authentic. Price keeps things at three stars. Everything was a buck or two($ 10 burger, $ 4 slice, $ 7 scramble was fine but no bread) higher than it should have been. Atrium area has a pleasant ambiance for passing the time. Few tables outside too. Overall lots to like but it comes at a price. Thanks for letting me join the community for a day.

My friend ordered an Israeli plate that included Israeli salad, falafel, hummus, pita bread, and olives. The pita bread was so hard that it shattered. The salad was old, anemic, and without dressing, the falafel were two little patties that looked like hockey pucks. She asked for the baba ganouj to be replaced with more salad which was agreed upon, but not carried out. I ordered a tuna melt which would have been okay. However, although we were told our names would be called out, our names were not. Twenty-five minutes later, I went to inquire as to the whereabouts of our food. I was told that it was ALWAYS placed at a window on the side of the room. There I found our cold food. The place wasn’t crowded, so I wondered why no one had bothered to find out why two dishes had been unclaimed until they were cold. Next time we’ll go to the Chinese restaurant down the street. P. S. the food is also not kosher so we might as well go to the Chinese restaurant and order fish and vegetarian food.

A very decent selection of food and beverage items on the menu. Today is my second time coming here. I felt hungry and was craving for a salad. So I came in and bought a box of salad with a can of sprite as a quick lunch. Staff members here are very friendly and the service is very efficient. Overall, I had a very good experience here. Also, I really appreciate the cleanliness of the entire facility. The Community Table is the Café inside the JCCSF. Went to see Daniel Humm and Will Guidara speak for their new book and restaurants Eleven Madison Park and Nomad. Came a bit early and realized I wasnt going to make it till dinner. Got a solid blueberry muffin and an iced chai. Tided me over through the event just in time for dinner. Folks are pretty friendly and they have a more eclectic selection of foods than one would think.
