Smooth, smooth, smooth!
I booked an appointment for a lower legs wax + brazilian. And wow! Ainsley was very friendly, knows how to make you feel comfortable and she did an AWESOME job. I was really impressed by the result!
I love the wax they’re using — very good quality and you feel the difference on your skin.
After trying different Spa in San Francisco, I am really happy I finally found one that meets my expectations!

I had a facial about a week ago and I simply loved it. Ainsley was absolutely fantastic, I had never had a facial and she made the experience so comfortable. She guided me through the process and explained what she was doing, which I felt was very helpful especially since it was my first facial. Absolutely impressed how clean my face felt. My face still feels really great would definitely come back!
I’m not prone to acne but this past Halloween I wore heavy makeup. I pay the consequences, I broke out and it was not pretty. Coco the skin expert was so kind and recommended her acne treatment. And I kid you not I applied it after I cleansed at night for about half hour, which I then rinsed out and immediately saw improvement. I woke up this morning and it’s almost as if I never had the issue. The redness that is usually the most stubborn, dramatically decreased. It’s so worth the investment. Thank you Coco!

I went in to Coco Spa to get a much needed facial today. Except it wasn’t with Coco, it was with Ainsley. She’s new at Coco Spa. Let me just say, her techniques are very very similar to Coco’s. Ainsley did such an amazing job, I even fell asleep half way through. After my short nap, my facial was done. And I’ve noticed how calm and refreshed my skin looked. (My skin turns red very easily because I’m a little more sensitive.) I’m so happy another great esthetician joined the spa!

Coco can guide your skin to a right direction.
I took Coco’s treatment for the first time. My skin grew after just one visit. She is a passionated, knowledgeable and friendly esthetician. I’m so glad she pointed out my skin’s irritation. I’ve been using so many different products on my skin and changing it all the time. Now I know I should eliminate the product I use and evaluate what is causing the irritation.
If you want to do something better for your skin, ask a professional. Coco can guide you a right direction.

Amazing. There aren’t enough positive words to describe the experience with Coco. She really takes the time to get to know each client and tailors the treatment for your specific skin type. The integrity of her business is clear — she believes in marketing through word of mouth, so you’ll never find her on gimmicky deal sites. The facial itself was a bit pricey for my budget, but worth saving up for. She tells you everything she’s doing/​putting on your face and makes the whole experience very comfortable.

Coco is a miracle worker! She literally transformed my skin overnight.
I received an amazing customized facial yesterday and can already see a difference in my skin… yes it shows… it truly glows :)
Coco took a look at my skin and recommended a deep cleansing to start with and did a ton of extractions. In the past, extractions have been super painful but with Coco, it was a breeze.
I really enjoyed the relaxing massages she gave with coconut oil while waiting for the masks and peels to do their work. She thoroughly explained all that she was doing and that really put me at ease.
What I really like is that Coco uses all natural products that she has put her heart and soul into creating. I ended up purchasing a few products because I know they will be a great investment vs. an expense in the long run.
Coco is exceptionally knowleadgeable, friendly, warm and super skilled at what she does. All this comes from years of experience and her natural instinct to take care of people.
I love the ambience of the space she has — it truly is a sanctuary in the city.

CoCo is magical. Previous to CoCo, I’ve been through 4+ aestheticians for facials in the last few years (and they all had 4 stars and up on Unilocal). It’s usually a bad sign when you know more about skincare products than your aesthetician. It’s especially bad when they push product that clearly doesn’t work for your skin.
CoCo truly customizes facials and skincare regimens tailored to your skin. I’ve never seen anyone so meticulous, dedicated, detail-​oriented, soothing and nurturing as this woman. She used to be on the product side before moving to aesthetic services, and she definitely knows her ingredients in skincare. She is also one of the best extractors I’ve seen. I have small pores, and I never scar even from some very tough extractions. In the last 3 times I’ve seen her, the few acne scars have all but vanished. My skin always glows after her visit.
She has her own skincare line as well. As a Korean beauty junkie who follows the latest skincare trends, her skincare line is a steal for the price and quality. If I didn’t have all these other organic, vegan Korean skincare products in my cabinet, I would definitely use a few things from her line. She gave me a sample of the Vitamin A cleanser, and it definitely holds up to my cult faves from Korea.

Coco — when I think of the word I think of warmth and welcoming, wrapping your hands around a cup you know will bring you a feeling of contentment. Coco actually embodies those words — warm, welcoming, and from the moment she touches your skin to the time you depart her salon, your step is just a little lighter from having been in her presence, and you know you gave yourself more than the gift of just a facial. I can’t recommend her enough (or her products — especially the blueberry facial cream). The moment I met Coco — I knew I had been blessed in more ways than one…

What I expected was a relaxing way to end my San Francisco vacation… what I got was the best facial of my life. Coco was sweet and very knowledgeable. My facial was customized based on what she saw in the skin analysis and the fact that I was traveling. Coco said she trains the staff to provide the same level of service so if she isn’t available– still come. My only compliant is that the spa is 5,000 miles away from my home.

Frankly, I’ve been going to CoCo Spa since mid-​2013 (almost two years now), and I have been holding off on reviewing this place because I reaaaaally like to keep my favorite beauty spots private. However, this year in 2015, the Federal Gov’t is focusing on better public service — so, I guess this will count as my fair share for the month. Ha, kidding. ;)
The penthouse suite is gorgeous– lovely view of the city and very serene. The spa sort of brings you into a whole different world even though you’re so central in a busy city. CoCo is extremely sweet and soft spoken, but she’s not afraid to tell you the truth.
Many of my beauty pageant friends had recommended CoCo Spa, but I was hesitant because I’m meticulous in choosing and trying new spas for my face (I have super sensitive skin). My biggest pet peeve with an esthetician is her method of make-​up removal before the actual facial, and the washing of the face — my skin should be spotless and completely clean before anything is done to it whether it’s a peel, extractions, mask or all of the above! I’m always nervous when an esthetician starts applying her product on top of a half a** job of a «clean face.» Fortunately, CoCo opened me up to a world of perfect skin rejuvenation. She’s really good. In fact, she’s the best for beautiful, healthy skin.
Her facials are impeccable — yesterday, I left our session with my skin looking bright and feeling refreshed. She took the time to clean my face and she certainly did the job well. My skin feels and looks amazing. The extractions were slightly painful, but how must one keep skin beautiful and healthy without the pain of taking the time and hurt to care for it? #ForeverYoung :)
Additionally, she only uses the best, natural products. I am amazed with how wonderful my skin looks. I get compliments all the time and get questions on how I keep it looking so healthy (…and I never answered until now. Lucky you!). Seriously, I love CoCo!!! She’s my new obsession. my new weapon. I cringe in the thought of sharing my secret weapon with the public, but «a selfish wo[man] is a theif.» Love my face!!! Do you???

Coco was just lovely — and an amazing technician. She did a beautiful job with our teenager and spent a good deal of extra time chatting and learning about us as human beings — way beyond the call. So far, the products we purchased seem to be working wonderfully. They smell great and, like the facial, are reasonably priced. Loved the penthouse space. I used to go to many physicians at good old 490 Post — who knew that little oasis up there existed?! Will definitely return.

Today’s facial was the most amazing customized skin care experience of my life. Thank you CoCo for your expertise in organic products as they pertain to our individual needs. I usually don’t leave reviews but I felt the need to rave about the amazing facial I experienced at Coco Spa!
I was introduced to Coco Spa by a friend who always had impeccable skin and after having a stressful week (many nights of falling asleep with my makeup still caked on my face) I decided to make an appointment for some much needed TLC.
First off, the place was a bit difficult to find and I did get a bit lost after taking the elevator up to the 16th floor (My sense of directions is terrible). I was feeling a little doubtful as I followed the signs up the stairs but when I opened the door my mind was put at ease as the office building-​like atmosphere transformed into a lovely penthouse that had a beautiful view of the city.
I had my facial with the owner, Coco, who was warm, patient, and attentive. She carefully listened to all my skin concerns without ever trying to sell me any products of extra treatment (something that always makes me nervous about going to spas). She was a joy to talk to and you can tell she is someone who is genuinely caring and passionate about what she does.
My experience in the past was that facials are usually either relaxing, but you don’t see many effects afterward, or they were painful and effective, but you leave feeling like it was more treatment than pampering. I had the customized facial ($ 115) and not only did I feel pampered and relaxed in the end, my skin looked amazing! I have thin skin that normally have a negative reaction to extraction and cannot handle peels, Coco gave me a gentle peel and extraction that left my skin smooth, free of congestion, and glowing (I went into Sephora afterwards and more than one of the staff there asked me what I use on my skin)! I also really enjoyed the small details she put in such as relaxing blends of essential oils in the hot towels really made a difference (I’m big on details and hygiene).
I can’t wait to go back and maybe I’ll even make this a regular thing! Thanks Coco!
PS: Coco uses her own line of skincare at her spa that contains natural ingredients. They all smell good enough to eat! :)

I can’t even being to express how lucky I feel to have met CoCo and experienced a facial with her. Not only is she kind and genuine, but she is by far the best esthetician in the industry and has brought skincare to a new level.
Precise extractions didn’t bother my sensitive and redness-​prone skin, and my glowing complexion lasted all day. My once dehydrated skin now feels light and healthy.
Do yourself a favor and book a facial with CoCo. The spa is beautiful, the service is unmatched and the esthetician is like no other.

Wonderful! I was given a gift card here and while I rarely get facials because of my sensitive skin, I decided to go for it since it seems she understand sensitive skin based on Unilocal reviews.
And she does! She is very experienced (was the lead aesthetician for the St. Regis) and has magic hands. Her massages were heavenly. On top of that, she is very sweet and friendly.
The most amazing part is that within an HOUR of leaving, TWO people stopped me to tell me that I had incredible skin and asked me what products I use. I was happy to tell them that I actually don’t use product and that it all the work of Coco. I must have looked radiant!
Oh — and my sensitive skin is happy. No breakouts, no hives. And my residual zit has nearly disappeared. Coco is wonderful and I would absolutely go back. Because I thrive on compliments from strangers. :)

I am so, so happy with my results from just 1 facial with Coco. Usually with facials, even ones I considered «best ever,» I get some form of irritation due to my hyper sensitive skin. Either I have mild peeling the next day, or I leave with some redness. However, Coco eases all that. The day I went, I actually had break-​outs due to an allergic reaction. By some magical feat, Coco effortlessly removed them after inquiring what they were. I was stunned!
Facials are customized so after evaluating my face, she performed some mild treatments and said I could not undergo anything harsher like microdermabrasion, which was something I always had during facials. Of course I always want the biggest bang for my buck, which means I want everything, but Coco knows best– I walked away with my skin still thoroughly exfoliated and smoothed, yet super hydrated.
Now, 3 weeks after my treatment, my skin still looks fabulous, like I’m wearing HD powder! For a while, I was hooked on BB cream, but now I don’t find the necessity. My skin looks fresh, bright, and glows from within. No more redness or uneven tone!
Coco will definitely be my go-​to facialist moving forward. She offers value packages as well, which definitely helps those on a budget.

You don’t meet many professionals in the beauty industry that truly love what they do and genuinely care about their customers/​patients. Coco is the real deal. She’s kind, thoughtful, helpful and knows her sh*t.
I’ve been to her twice now for a custom facial and I continue to be blown away by her energy and skill. Anyone who wants beautiful skin need not look further. She certainly has a customer for life in me.
