Dr. Taura recently succeeded Dr. Dennis Shinbori, who’s now retired. Happy to say that everything I’ve said about Dr. Shinbori on a separate Unilocal review applies to him as well.
Our combined family has been coming to this office for 3 generations now, and at first I was slightly concerned to hear that a young new dentist would be taking over.
But any worries I might have had were completely unfounded, as Dr. Taura — who is young enough to be my, uh, little brother — established an instant rapport with everyone in my family. It helps a lot that he speaks some Japanese, so both my mom and MIL are fans. He’s great with my kids too.
He exudes a friendly warmth that would put any patient at ease. You can tell he’s super smart. He is very professional, caring and kind. And totally open about explaining any procedure he’s doing, discussing treatment options, or answering any questions you might have.
I know we will continue to be in the best of hands and I look forward to seeing him really grow with his practice. I can totally see him taking care of our entire family for years to come, particularly my kids throughout their upcoming teen years. (I envy that he gets to wield sharp instruments around them.)
The front office and support staff are equally excellent. Everyone there is genuinely friendly. I sometimes linger way after my appointment is over because we’re enjoying catching up.

Dr. Clint Taura is an excellent dentist, highly trained & highly professional. He is also genuinely warm and kind and takes time to make sure you are always comfortable during treatment. Kathy his secretary is terrific! Professional and warm & friendly and Anna his nurse is wonderful– also very kind and helpful during treatment. I absolutely hate going to the dentist and am very careful researching a dentist’s background.
My previous dentist was outstanding and I’m so thrilled I now have a new outstanding dentist. The Office staff are incredibly kind & professional and appointments run on time.
