Today, you can find him around the San Francisco Bay Area and Southern California performing for companies like eBay, PG&E, HGTV, Oracle Open World, World Entertainment Services, Tech Crunch, Cedar Fair Entertainment, Trident Capital, and many more.

You can also find him performing in hospitals for dementia patients, pediatrics, and specialty nursing facilities through the Medical Clown Project, a San Francisco bay area organization founded by a former Cirque Du Soleil performer.

History

Established in 2011.

Even at a very early age, Calvin has always been fascinated with performing. Watching actors portray various roles captivated his interest. There was even a time when he rigged his own mountain climbing gear to recreate a scene in the movie Cliffhanger with Sylvester Stallone. True story.

When Calvin was 10, he went to a friend’s house and couldn’t take himself away from a magic toy box that had secret compartments and trap doors. It was captivating. From that moment on, he loved magic.

Becoming a professional magician for Calvin wasn’t easy. While he focused on school, he practiced his magic on the side as a hobby and entertained his friends. During his years at a University, he studied performing arts and earned a B.A. in theater.

After graduation, Calvin immediately entered the world of circus, where he had intense training in physical comedy. From there, it was the marriage of magic, circus, and theater that Calvin Kai Ku discovered his calling as a rare and unique Entertainer.
