I can’t speak much for company food over time, but my first time here was pretty awesome. I’m sure that as time progresses, it may get tiring, or gross, or yucky … but who doesn’t like an Espresso bar that serves beer at work?! This café is clean, well maintained, has that quirky old school look with modern touches, and has relatively easy to navigate lines and menus. Overall I’m a big fan because it looks miles better than many other cafes I’ve seen visually, but at the same time has the SF touch to it. Paired with great coffee and reasonably good food, I’m giving this place 4 stars!

Gave a presentation in the Adobe auditorium and when i was finished, there were only a few only a few selections left, one of which was vegetarian. I chose the veggie, but almost immediately regretted it. The sandwich was two slices of bread, roasted veggies and a piece of lettuce. No sauces, no cheese(or cheese substitute) = no flavor. I swear that it was like work to eat this sandwich and it really left me wanting. Based on this sandwich alone, I’m not impressed.

Café Royale is the go to at Adobe for quick, reliable, good food. The menu’s are available online, so I can check to see if there is something I want before I even leave my cube. They always have fresh soups and a great salad bar, and I tend to migrate towards these as they are always tasty. Prices are good, I think Adobe subsidizes some of the costs because I can’t imagine getting some of these dishes at these prices elsewhere. They also cater to the season and holidays with various types of cuisine and decorations. Overall, a great place to come for lunch, easy and convenient, and well priced. Thanks for making lunch easy for me Adobe!

I came here for a seminar. Food was catered by Café Royale. I missed the breakfast but I saw remnants of scrambled eggs and sausage. I grabbed two mini bran muffins and some fruit. The muffins were good, not too dry. They catered our lunch too. We were served sandwiches, cookies and chips. Sandwich are standard turkey, tuna etc. For some reason, the edges of the bread were stale. So did they give us all their stale bread or did they make this the day before? Anyway, that kind of took the bloom of the rose so to speak. I did grab an iced mocha mid day. It was priced super cheap and it was yummy. Not watered down like what you get in some coffee shops downtown. I wished I got their made to order lunch. The menu had a lot of variety. I wanna be an Adobe employee!

place is open from 730am — 200pm. food is subsidized, menus change frequently, plenty of healthy choice, plenty of bad choices(double bacon cheddar burger!) and good cafeteria atmosphere. i’ve done interviews in there, group lunches, visitor lunches and solo lunches in the booths with a book. all good.

I love the breakfasts at this place. Something about rolling in to work, getting a made to order meal while reviewing my assignments, that really starts my day off right. Breakfast service stops at ten, so its bagels and coffee after that until lunch. I dig the recyclable flatware and composting program that they have there too. Lunches are a little hit and miss,(Sushi is always a hit), but as far as workplace café’s go, this place is dynamite. G

I was at Adobe for business and ate at here three times. It was good and cheap. With the savings I was able to splurge on dinner.

For a company cafeteria, it’s not too bad. It’s weird though. Sometimes, they’ll have days where there are 3 or 4 good lunch items at the same time and you can’t decide what to get, and other days where everything sucks. It especially sucks when they try to make Asian food: bad Vietnamese noodles(phở) for like $ 7, incinerated korean shortribs, etc. Ok, I’m a little biased, since I live in the Richmond District… I do love the Indian food days, but rarely order the sushi here(which is actually pretty good), because I’d want to guzzle sake and beer with it, probably a no-no at work. The salad bar is also a deal. And once in a while, they’ll make something like Moroccan chicken with lemon couscous, which I really like. Good thing Indian day is every other week :)

Compared to the San Jose office, this place is Chez Panisse. Props for actually trying!

This place was awesome for the first couple months of working in the S.F. office. I guess when you eat here everyday it will get old after time. Cant beat the convenience though. My favorite is indian day.

I eat there way too much… perhaps its because it is conveniently located 273 feet from my cubicle… The Food is spiced similar to what I expect a convalescent hospital cafeteria is like. Some days they’ll have something on the menu that is eye catching, but most of the time it is mediocre. Thank god they have sriracha, or I would have to bring my own. The high turnover rate has affected the quality. The staff that has stuck around is friendly and they try hard, but its often not enough. Location and the subsidized price keep me from writing it off totally.

Quit eating here awhile ago, because they spray their vegetables with something I’m allergic to and I only ate in the salad bar to avoid the«unknown» of what’s exactly in the prepared food. Gets too expensive eating there anyway — now I bring my own lunch every day, which is healthier and cheaper and I know what I’m eating. They keep sneaking up their prices — it’s really not that cheaper than eating off the premises anymore(esp. considering it’s supposed to be subsidized). That said, the salad bar is quite nice for a cafeteria and the people are friendly. And hey — the location’s GREAT, can’t be beat! If you’re in the San Francisco office, stop on by!

It is amazingly good for a company cafeteria. It serves fully omelet and pancakes to simple cereal or croissant in the morning. For lunch; Exhibition Showcase, Comfort Foods, Tossed to Order Salads, Grill Differential, Hot Panini, From the Pizza Oven, and more. In a rush, Grab and Go with a pre-made sandwich or salad, add a fresh baked cookie and you’re out the door! My favorite are the daily special though. The price is reasonable and I don’t have to leave work to get a freshly cooked meal in front of me. Besides, they also make good looking desert/cake every day. Too bad for others that this is kept privte ;-) A sample menu from a day as follows — — – BREAKFAST smoked salmon scramble with sour cream and house chips 4.10 SOUP~STEW~CHILI Spanish style lentil soup. Seafood soup with tomatoes and fennel 2.00 EXHIBITIONENTREE Chicken stir fry with Greek herbs and spices and feta cheese 5.75 COMFORTFOOD Crispy fried chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and gravy 5.60 TOSSEDSALAD Roasted fall root vegetables with sherry vinaigrette 5.10 PIZZA Organic thin crust pizza: Marinated mushroom 3.95

UPDATE: This is now the Café Royale @ Adobe. In a freefall with lots of staff turnover. ORIGINAL: Imagine a historic old brick-and-wood warehouse converted into a high-ceilinged, high-tech, light-filled office space with a gourmet exhibition kitchen at its core. It has lots of space, semi-private booths, seating at a coffee bar with flatscreens, a sun-drenched patio, and super-friendly staff. They do delicious cooked-to-order features and grill specials, like grilled snapper with romesco sauce or a risotto with wild mushrooms, mascarpone and sage. Niman ranch burgers are always on the menu. If you’re in a hurry they also have a great prepared foods and panini selection, and a respectable salad bar. And every other Wednesday they bring in a sushi chef who prepares excellent nigiri. Best of all… it’s all subsidized. Free rent for the caterers I think. Excepting sushi, everything is under $ 6! Employees can just swipe their badges to pay. It’s access-controlled, though, so if you can’t sneak in(don’t try this), you’ll need to make a Macromedia friend and meet them for lunch.
