Same owner as Big Al’s next door. At least the humidor case here doesn’t have a bunch of mold on everything. Not sure about the rest of the store, because they didn’t have the cigars I was looking for.

I was racially profiled here and the owner has no clue about the sales laws or liquor laws here. You’ve been warned.

Pro: –Good selection of beer in an area that has a lot of liquor stores with really bad variety. Cons: –It’s North Beach, and this store is located right at Broadway/Columbus. This means walking the gauntlet of bros, hoes, and other unpleasant riff raff. Verdict: While the staff is nice enough, I’d make the extra trek to Coit Liquors if at all possible.

The only reason to go here is cuz its close to your hotel and you need some vino. Don’t expect much better than Coppolla or Yellow Tail, marked up from what you’d pay at the grocery store. What makes it 4 or 5 stars is beyond me — must be friends?

One of the more convenient liquor stores on the«Broadway Strip.» The store is well stocked with beers, spirits, snacks, cigars, etc. The store’s foot traffic depends on how many people are out on Broadway, but you can count on at least two guys manning the store. Prices are surprisingly acceptable given the prime location in vicinity to all the gentlemen’s clubs. The store closes ten minutes before 2 a.m. due to heavy police presence and the 2 a.m. closing rush of all the clubs. The employees are always cool as long as your not belligerently drunk.

According to my year end statement from Wells Fargo, I spent the most money at this store than anywhere else(well, besides Yellow Cab). Depressing? A little. Awesome? Totally! I visit this store at least twice a week. The guys there are awesome, always helpful and quick, and ask me about work or my boyfriend. They actually listen and learn things about you, which I like. They also seem to fall in love with all my friends who visit from out of town, and one of them has a crush on my mom and keeps asking when she’s coming back. The liquor is overpriced but you can’t beat the convenience of this kind of store literally 1 minute from your front door. They also carry Kinder Bueno, Kinder Eggs, and those awesome Kinder sticks of chocolate with the creepy smiling Swedish looking kid. They have a scary big selection of Clif bars too. And all kinds of mini bottles. Tons of drunk snacks. I love this store. I love it’s comforting yellow awning, whenever I go underneath it I know I’m going to exit with snacks and liquor and it’s going to be the start of a good night out or the end of one. Oh, and they also had Coke Blak for a very long time after it was discontinued, which might be why I didn’t know it was discontinued. Sniff sob.

Pretty good selection and they are actually open past 9pm unlike almost every other place right around here.(I think he said 2am) Plus they have honest tea here and I really like honest tea. I also really like the beer.
