Branch Out Floral & Event Design

I used Branch Out Floral for my wedding in Napa and couldn’t have been happier with the flowers. Leighsa was wonderful to work with and did an amazing job bringing my vision to life. I highly recommend her for your next event!

Leighsa is an amazing floral designer. Truly one of the best. As an event planner, I have used her for numerous events and will continue to do so in the future. She is not only talented and creative, but also very professional, kind, and a great person all around. I highly recommend her.

I know absolutely nothing about flowers, so I told Leighsa what my style was and she did the rest. I was in complete awe when I saw the arrangements on my wedding day and I can’t tell you how many compliments I received on them.
She used a variety of shapes, colors, and textures and knew exactly what I wanted even when I didn’t!
I cannot recommend her enough and will continue to recommend her services to anyone I know who is planning a wedding. She was thorough and when I arrived at the venue, she was there with everything already set up and handed me my bouquet. She even put bunches of flowers on our cake, which added a beautiful touch to my otherwise plain cake!

We used Leighsa and Branch out Floral for our wedding in July 2015 and she was a delight to work with. I have no floral knowledge but all I knew is that I wanted to incorporate birds of paradise in my arrangements with out making it too crazy. She delivered beautifully! She also was great at helping me realize my vision and to use bridal flowers that did not overpower my dress. As for the bridesmaids and groomsmen, I wanted to use orange flowers and she came up with a beautiful arrangement that worked out perfectly! I would highly recommend her and her team!

Leighsa Is amazing! We were lucky enough to have Branch out do all of our florals for our wedding. Not only does she create beautiful florals she had an eye for detail and design. Her personality is calm and caring which really helped during all the stress of wedding planning. It was a breeze working with her and everything turned out exactly how I envisioned. I can’t believe I haven’t gotten around to reviewing Branch Out Flowers. Leighsa and her amazing team did an outstanding job helping me to make my wedding even more beautiful than I could have envisioned. From helping me to select flowers, meeting with the photographer, and setting up that day Leighsa was with me every step of the way — she was so patient and kind. I told her the colors that I liked and that I wanted something different not the typical roses and hydrangea — she totally delivered and within budget! The flowers were super fresh and unusual — all of my guests wanted to take something home. Finally, she went above and beyond tapping into her network of vendors and was able to put me in contact with a baker, officiant, and rental company. I can’t think back on my wedding day without thinking of Leighsa’s support and Branch Out Flowers.

For all aspects of our wedding we vetted at least three vendors — Leighsa/​Branch Out were the exception. From the intro phone call to our initial meeting, we KNEW the flowers would be special. Leighsa worked with our style suggestions, within our budget, and also lent her INCREDIBLE talents to all details. Wanting to make sure she understood the venue before providing ideas and a quote (we had three areas to decorate), she took a self-​initiated site tour. We greatly appreciated her thoroughness at this stage in planning, and it was prescient of her level of care and attention throughout the months leading to the wedding, as well as «day of».
Leighsa and her team prepared AMAZING flowers including, but not limited to: an 8 foot high chuppah made from white birch stalks and white Hawaiian orchids, stunning boutonnieres and bridal bouquets, a twig and orchid head piece and white birch wrapped petal basket for our flower girl, breathtaking center pieces, matching florals for the wedding cake… All of the items simply breath-​taking.
Another special (and telling) aspect about Leighsa is that she not only knew our fantastic photographer (Michelle Walker), but also our cake maker (Mary Michler at Gerhard Michler, Fine European Bakers). As with any profession, the good ones in the industry know each other and love to work together. It showed. It was perfect. And Leighsa is definitely one of the good ones.

Leighsa Montrose called me after I sent a polite note to let her know that I had chosen another vendor for my wedding. She proceeded to chew me out, trying to guilt me into paying for materials she claimed she had already ordered (without my prior knowledge or approval).
We did not have a signed contract and this was a small budget. I was floored by Leighsa’s aggressive and bullying demeanor when she lost the sale. I am glad I chose another vendor. If this is how Leighsa treats potential customers, imagine how she treats her customers!

Leighsa is so gifted. She did my wedding in September and I must say that with very little guidance from me and only vague ideas and pictures of what appealed to me visually she was able to deliver the most perfect and beautiful arrangements possible within a pretty tight budget. It made my wedding feel fresh, organic, and like my own. My greatest piece of advice for a bride-​to-​be, save where ever you like, but pay for beautiful floral design. This was honestly, the best money I spent. Thank you Branch Out!

Leighsa and her team is AMAZING at what they do! A true professional with an eye for class and can pinpoint exactly what you want. Flowers are never cheap so if you are looking for something along those lines, you’r better off going to Safeway or Trader Joe’s and putting it together yourself.

Leighsa is amazing to work with. She showed great professionalism during the contract drafting process. She is very responsive to emails and always try to meet my requests.

We used branch out for our wedding last weekend, Leighsa and Sherie were very accommodating, easy to work with and budget conscious. I know little to nothing about floral design, I literally told Leighsa the colors of the wedding and that I like arrangements with lots of texture and that is all she had to work with. She made two different centerpiece designs that looked amazing, beautiful bouquets, and two stunning arrangements for the ceremony! I relied heavily on her expertise and was not disappointed. She did a great job!

WOW WOW WOW!!! I had my wedding at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in October and LEIGHSA DELIVERED! IT WAS ABSOLUTELY Breath taking not only for me but for all our guests who all entered the ballroom. It was like MAGIC. She exceeded all my expectations (which is hard). Leighsa and all her staff are great to work with, they are honest, humble (regardless of all the publications and accolades), sweet and personable. They don’t treat you like another number, and they give full attention to what you want to achieve. She has great suggestions, great customer service and great work ethic. Don’t look anywhere else for flowers… THIS IS THE ONE… CELEBRITY TESTED :)

On July 2^nd 2011 I got married and was lucky enough to be able to use Leighsa and Branch out Florist for the flowers and décor. From the moment I met with Leighsa I knew I wanted her to do my flowers for our wedding. Flowers were very important to me and I felt very confident that Leighsa would do an amazing job. She is so easy to work with and really help me organize all of my ideas and thoughts. When I first met with her I came in with over 50 pictures of different ideas for centerpieces and bouquets and she helped put together an great event. The flower arrangements were so beautiful that I cried the moment I saw them. It was more than I would have ever hoped for. My bouquet and the bouquets for the bridesmaids were so elegant and beautiful. I always envisioned a romantic wedding filled with flowers and because of her I was able to have the romantic wedding I always dreamed of. If Leighsa is available for your wedding, book her right away. She will work with your budget and will make sure your day is everything you every dreamed of. She is an artist not just a florist she goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect.

If Leighsa is available for your wedding, book her immediately! I’m so happy that we found her. Leighsa did such an amazing job on the flowers for our wedding, and I couldn’t have been happier. Not only did she do such a beautiful job, she was so sweet and easy to deal with, and her prices are very reasonable. I talked to some florists who I could barely get to return my phone calls, but Leighsa always got back to me right away, patiently walked me through everything and was always on top of making any changes/​suggestions that we needed.
I had very specific colors in mind for our wedding and Leighsa was very helpful when helping me finalize all of the details. I ended up having a few conversations with her over the color shades of the flowers, and she was so sweet and patient every time. She also gave me great suggestions on what flowers to use, the color, type of arrangements, etc. She even suggested that we not get large arrangements for the ceremony because she thought it was too much money to spend for something that people would only see for a few minutes. That type of honesty is very rare when dealing with some wedding vendors!
She also helped us to rent a drape for the ceremony and took care of the installation. She even told me she would do whatever it took to help our venue make everything look perfect for the ceremony/​reception, even if it meant putting out placecards and things that weren’t a part of her job.
When we finally saw the flowers at the wedding they were absolutely perfect! The color was exactly what I had pictured and all of the flowers were arranged beautifully. Leighsa has such a great eye for flower design and she did such an amazing job. I’m so happy we used her.
Overall, I couldn’t have been happier that we chose to work with Leighsa. Not only did she help to make our wedding day perfect, I really enjoyed working with her and she was the most reasonably priced of the florist that I talked to. I would definitely recommend Leighsa and Branch Out for any event!

I just got married at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in Late May and decided to use Branch Out for Floral Design based on my site coordinator’s preferred list.
CONS:
It was difficult for Leighsa to work within our budget. Every time I tried to set a budget, the proposal always ended up higher than my budget. It was almost as if she refused to acknowledge my budget.
The flowers were that were supposed to be in my hair fell apart as soon as my hair stylist picked them up. I ended up having to wear a different dahlia in my hair that did not match my jewelry or anything. The boutonnieres that showed up for the groom and his attendants were wilting and browning. Our officiant and my brother did not even wear them because they were so brown. One of them came without a pin also — so one of our fathers did not get to wear one either!
The flowers on the tables were pretty but they looked so tiny. They were way too sparse and made the room and tables look barren. I thought maybe I had exaggerated it in my head but we just got our pictures back and the floral on the tables was disappointing. It wouldn’t be so bad except for that the flowers were very expensive! Hardly anyone really mentioned the flowers (but mentioned everything else — the food, the entertainment, dessert, etc) and it kind of saddened me because I love flowers so much and really wanted that to be a high point in the reception room.
I asked specifically (it was in the final proposal agreement I signed) for no yellow flowers because it would clash with my color scheme but there were yellow flowers all over the place and even mixed into the bridesmaid bouquets.
I found out recently that my husband had actually contacted her twice to let her know that some of the boutonnieres came un-​usable but she never acknowledged his attempt to contact her. The note was nice and not rude in any way — it was even grateful in part. However, he did want to be upfront about basic needs that weren’t met with the flowers. I was honestly SHOCKED by Leighsa’s lack of response because she seemed so principled and responsive during the process, like she really cared about our satisfaction with the outcome.
Maybe she thought we were just being «complainers» and didn’t want to deal with us but after you’ve spent thousands on someone’s services, you at least deserve an email or call back to acknowledge the shortcoming.
PROS:
Leighsa, the owner of Branch Out, is really warm and patient and easy to work with. She communicates very well. You can tell she really loves what she does and enjoys working with her customer.
Our ceremony flowers that stood at the altar were amazing… truly incredible. She is talented for sure.
If you are willing to pay straight cash, she will cut you a discount.

DESTINY!!! Some things are just meant to be. When my fiancé and I started planning our wedding it was quite overwhelming. Usually most people lock in dates and find their venue first. Not us. We picked our florist 1^st!
We had gone to a wedding event at Kohl’s Mansion and saw this eye catching /​jaw dropping yellow centerpieces in the middle of the room that caught our attention. It brightened up the entire room. We just stopped and stared for literally 5 minutes in awe. Branch Out!
A few months later we visited, the Julia Morgan Ballroom in downtown SF. On their promotion fliers was a photo of the ballroom and this gorgeous branch design layout. Right away we asked which company did the flowers. Branch Out!!!
Branch Out was everywhere! I tracked Leighsa down and knew she was going to be our florist without even meeting her yet. We set up a meeting at her studio and the rest was history. We told her we wanted exotic flowers with a mixture of heights. We originally had a variety of low, medium and talls. But after thinking about it we wanted everything to pop in the room and split it up between all medium and tall heights. We had another meeting closer to the wedding to see samples of both heights. We discussed what would work and wouldn’t work with my colors and with the ballroon.
Leighsa was by far our favorite vendor. We even hired her on as our day of coordinator. She followed up with all of our other vendors and took a load off of my shoulders. Not only did she help with coordinating the flowers but helped us choose out matching linens from Hartmann Studio. EVERYTHING ran smoothly the day of our event.
We ended up booking the Julia Morgan Ballroom & just had our wedding there on May 9. When I saw our main ballroom it was filled with orchids and candles. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better wedding. All of my guests have been talking about the flowers to this day. Everyone was fighting over the centerpieces at the end of the night. As we visited our friends and families after the honeymoon many of the orchids were still alive. Everyone commented on how fresh the flowers must have been to last 3 weeks after the wedding!

I had an excellent experience working with Leighsa at Branch Out for my wedding floral. I met with her personally twice and spoke to her on the phone a number of times. She totally understood the concept we were going for with our wedding florals and really did a fabulous job. We wanted burgundy, purple, lime green and ivory flowers with lots of orchids, hydrangea, roses, and tulips arranged in a more ikebana style. The arrangements she created for our ceremony at St. Dominic’s Church were appropriate for our September wedding but also vivid and beautiful. She did a nice job with the aisle flowers as well.
The bouquets, corsages, and boutinnieres were exactly the colors and style I wanted. The flowers were lush and gorgeous.
Leighsa and her staff did a fabulous job with our reception flowers as well. Our reception was at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in the Merchants Exchange Building. We had tons of candles, orchids floating in vases, and three different centerpiece styles: float bowls containing votives and orchids, mid-​size arrangements, and our tall tree centerpieces with hanging votives and orchids weaved throughout emerging from a bed of moss. GORGEOUS. We received many many compliments on how beautiful the ballroom looked.
Leighsa was friendly and her creativity and experience really came through in our stunning wedding flowers. She also quoted us the best price for what we wanted.

Leighsa handled the flowers for our wedding last August, and I was simply blown away. I had a chance to get a sneak peek of the reception area all set up (Carneros Inn) before my guests arrived, and I cried. The flowers made the space.
As a designer, I’m always skeptical about someone’s ability to translate a vision into reality. It’s hardwork, damnit! (and, requires special skills). Leighsa and I talked twice about the vision, and while the lack of communication or prototyping made me super nervous, she really pulled through and it turned out beautifully. Highly recommended!
