The best dentist in the Bay Area, hands down. Keeps my teeth healthy and in good shape. Great staff, fantastic new location. You can’t go wrong going to Dr. Boardman!

Dr. Boardman repaired a lifetime of damage caused by a bad overbite. This required implants above and bridges below, along with realignment coordinated with an oral surgeon. She was always gentle, cheerful and straightforward; I look better now than I did fifty years ago. I use her for all my dental care and recommend her to everyone I know.

I just came back from seeing Dr. Boardman and I actually enjoy seeing her. She is punctual, she listens, she is sensitive to my fear of pain, and she is quite pleasant… but more importantly, she is a good dentist. I needed to find someone closer to my home and I am so glad I took a chance and made an appointment. I have no regrets and it is hard to believe that she rarely makes you wait more than 5 – 10 minutes. Renatta at the front desk is helpful and pleasant. Even though I hate the pain associated with going to the dentist (my teeth are complicated). Dr. Boardman is helping me to realize that it does not always have to be a bad experience… she is a wonderful, kind and gentle spirit. She is an excellent dentist!

I was referred to Dr. Boardman by my co-​workers several years ago when I worked in San Francisco. Although I now live and work in Oakland, I still travel to San Francisco twice a year to see Dr. Boardman. I have never before received better or more personalized dental care and I refuse to leave her service. Best dentist ever!

I haven’t been to the dentist in over two years. I HATE going to the dentist. Somehow, whenever I go to the dentist, I end up leaving with more guilt about brushing, flossing, etc., than I get from my Jewish mother.
However, my appointment with Dr. Boardman this morning was… pretty pleasant! You know, minus the poking, prodding, and that awful tool they use to clean your teeth — but that’s not Dr. Boardman’s fault. She and her staff were all extremely friendly. So I’m glad to finally have a dentist to go to, and one that doesn’t make me want to cry.

Probably the best thing I can say about Dr. Boardman is what I say whenever I recommend her to someone new: she’s worth shlepping well out of your way to see. I’ve lived in Oakland, SOMA, the Western Addition, Nob Hill and now the Sunset, working all the time in the Financial District, and never have I thought that it’s not worth it to travel to see Dr. Boardman. (Not that it’s that far! It’s only Post and Divis!) Personable, decent, humane, honest*, punctual – what more do you need in a dentist, christ in anyone you do business with, or are friends with, or want at all affiliated with your life?
* A necessary quality in dentists, sad to say.

I went to see Dr. Boardman when I needed a crown re-​cemented on an implant. She was remarkably friendly and professional, which put me right at ease, and quickly took care of my tooth. Though I hope you never need a prosthodontist, she seems to be a good choice if you do. Plus, where else will you hear Mumford & Sons while sitting in the dentist’s chair? I was a fan.

I went to Dr. Boardman for the first time last week. I found her from Unilocal and selected her because of her great reviews and because the office is really close to my home. I was really nervous going there because, though I hate to admit it, I hadn’t been to a dentist in 6 years. The office environment immediately helped me relax especially because the receptionist was so cheerful and personable. There were cute paintings done I think by children in the reception area and pretty orchids. Dr. Boardman has a very relaxed way about her which helped me feel at ease and she smiled and chit chatted with me as she reviewed my teeth with her assistant and began the cleaning. The room I was in for my cleaning was sun-​filled and nicely decorated (boy did I focus on that mobile during the cleaning and scraping). There happened to be some hillbilly type music playing from the iPod in that room which was a funny music choice but it kind of took my mind off of the cleaning because it was so amusing, kind of Oh Brother Where Art Thou style. After the cleaning I went to another room for a full set of x-​rays and the dental assistant was really nice and joked with me. I got a great review for my dental hygiene despite not having been to a dentist for so long and all-​in-​all the whole visit has changed my outlook on dentists. I won’t be scared at all to go again six months from now. I highly recommend this dentist!

I was referred to Dr. Boardman from my general dentist who I have been seeing for 7 years. I’ve met with Dr. Boardman on 3 separate occasions. Parking isn’t the best, so if you have an appointment arrive early and wait for a metered spot. Otherwise you can pay for parking in the local lots.
When I first met with Dr. Boardman, I noticed she was exactly on time. I love that, especially since I made an effort to be on time, and she did the same. Late people are my pet peeve! Anyways, during the appointment she was friendly, and very informative about the procedure I needed. I actually teared up in the seat, because of my fear of dentists and she quickly put me at ease. She referred me to Dr. Yonemura who is a periodontist specialist. Whats great is my new dental «team» as I call it, communicate with each other about my progress which saves me trouble! They email or call, one thing less I have to do in my day. All I do is show up and they take care of me.
My husband recently had a visit here to get a adjustment on a faulty filling, and he was happy with the procedure. Hes rather particular about his dentists. he has been «burned» a few times like me. He’s not scared, he just has very little confidence in the last two dentists he has had. I am sure he has found his dental «match».

Dr. Boardman is an excellent, competent, and fun dentist. She has a great sense of humor, a super staff with whom she works extremely well and a pleasant mix of tunes playing.
