History

Established in 2006.

Opening a store front wasn’t an option after coming back to the bay area, from NY. So I purchased a used box van and set it up like a mobile retail store. I filled it up with older fashion from stores in the neighborhood and drove around all over the bay area day and night. The Bayfitted box van continued for a year and a half. Over time people recognized the signature box van, which also helped with them remembering the name of this new

found business.

BayFitted opened it’s door on Ellis and Leavenworth in 2007 offering mainly urban fashion. Being in the heart of downtown San Francisco brings in a variety of people who have different tastes in clothing. There were few customers who wore the urban fashion offered, so we came up with an idea on how to be able to open our market to the rest of the population. The decision was made to make customization available to the customers. So now we offer Airbrushing, Heat applied vinyl, fabric painting, & DTG printing.

Meet the Business Owner

Chris Cal A.

Business Owner

In 2000 fashion became of interest, when a purchase of urban fashion boosted my confidence. Although this fashion was good for my confidence, it was bad for my bank. Instead of trying to maintain this pricey fashion I decided to become a retailer. This allowed me to be able to continue wearing urban fashion at a more affordable price, as well as provide these affordable options for others.

I moved to Brooklyn, NY to further expand my knowledge and contacts in the field of fashion. My roommate at the time was a designer who had started a custom clothing line called Crazyends. Due to lack of financing we’ve had to put it on the back burner «Temporarily». While in NY I was also involved with producing the first run of t-shirt’s with AS1. This company was created by an artist that specialized in graphic designs that were eventually used for t-shirts. The experience I had gained working with these two companies were invaluable as well as inspirational for the future of Bayfitted.
