Specialties
Our therapists each have their own individual specializations and populations they work with as clinicians including but not limited to: depression, anxiety related disorders, trauma, crisis intervention, life transitions, couple’s therapy, and grief counseling. In February of 2017 our Assertive Community Based Treatment (or ACT) program will launch, focusing on individuals living with severe and debilitating mental illness.
History
Established in 2015.
Bay Area Integrative Counseling was founded out of the recognition that some of the biggest needs in the mental health field remain unmet for both the community at large and the practitioners that serve them. BAIC was formed to serve both highly functioning and low functioning members of our community through our interconnected programs. We are also looking out for the professionals that have wholeheartedly stepped into their roles in the helping profession.
The recent changes in the law brought about by the Affordable Care Act has filled a huge gap in our field between therapists and individuals seeking help. Our field is just getting acquainted with the changes. Now that psychotherapy is more accessible to those seeking help, BAIC is serving to connect both new and seasoned therapists with those reaching out to find the help that they need for their healing, personal development or otherwise.
Meet the Manager
Nathan V.
Manager
Nathan Villarante founded Bay Area Integrative Counseling in 2015 out of the desire to address some of the biggest unmet needs in the mental health field for both the community at large and the practitioners that serve them. As an LPCC intern therapist in practice since 2011, Nathan has a background in crisis counseling and takes a holistic approach to treatment. He employs an eclectic approach, gathering methods from Psychodynamic, CBT, Somatic and Mindfulness modalities. In doing so, he procures a new therapy for each new client. The overarching intention for his role in this organization is to do what he can to elevate the consciousness of the human race, one person at a time.
