History

Established in 2001.

Sspans three generations of the Mitchell family.

John Mitchell started his house painting business in Cheyenne Wyoming in the early 50’s and soon moved to Southern California, out of the harsh winters of the western plains, into the year around painting conditions that apply in California.

In 1980 Jesse, his youngest son, started the house painting in San Francisco, adding ceiling restoration to his services. Together with his son Jesse Jr. he continues offering their friendly service oriented painting craft in the Bay Area.

Jesse Mitchell and his crew were referred to us by a friend for whom the elder Jesse (you get two Jesse’s for the price of one, which is great) had done work for many years. Great referral! From first consultation to final clean up, everything about these guys was one-​hundred percent professional. Proper prep work is critical to a good painting job, and these guys prepared every surface with care and skill, repairing cracked stucco as a matter of routine and replacing damaged wood as they went. They worked in a painstaking manner and with obvious dedication to doing a great job. And they were real nice to have around — these are good folks! Painting week was fun. The final result? Fantastic. The front of our house is protected, and we love coming home to our gorgeous three-​color home.
If I haven’t painted a clear enough picture yet: highly recommended!

Since I was getting new furniture, I wanted to paint my loft. Considering how high the ceilings are, I figured I needed some professionals.
Bay Area Ceiling Pro & Painting was recommended to me by Room & Board, since they do all of R&B’s internal painting. Not only was BACP&P the first painting company to call me back, they gave me a reasonable estimate and were able to start the work quickly.
The job is finished and looks incredible. I was warned at the painting store that the dark maroon I chose would be a difficult color to paint, but they did a fabulous job making it look perfect and even.
I was really worried about getting contractors, but these guys are really professional, great to work with, and very nice to boot. I highly recommend!
