The old guy working there tried to short change me. I handed him a $ 20 –he made change as if I used a $ 10.00. Given that all people using a register in the mission put the money on top of the register before completing the transaction I reach one simple conclusion: He tried to rip me off! On a better note… there is a 2nd guy who works there who is very nice. Buyer beware. My bet is that he will try to rip you off as well.

Always in here buying ice cream and beer. Love the clerks and the rotating cast of characters nearby. Stay great Bartlett!

ive been looking for horchata blue moon beer since i first saw it about a half a year ago in a sampler pack. i stopped in and ask who i assume is the owner of this place if he could get it for me. he asked the supplier and told me blue moon was going to release it in april in its own 6 pack. i stopped in today to see if they were going to get it in april and the guy called the supplier right then and there. talk about costumer service! ill be back there tomorrow to get my beer!

I walked in after work(around 6pm) on 10/14/2013. I checked out the beer selection and decided not to buy anything. As I left the guy behind the counter loudly called me a F***ing A**hole multiple times because I didn’t buy anything. I walked up to the place on 24th and Valencia and they had friendlier staff(not saying much) and better prices.

Bartlett Market has all beers, wines, sodas priced albeit a bit higher than average. teas,& soda selection a bit sparse. the usual convienence items are present. clean store. didn’t see lotto. didn’t ask. drink: «marley’s mellow mood» green tea with honey(1.99) –bunch of herbs in this inclueding valerian root extract. –very bland, not a good tea drink, more of a mood enhancing agent 1 star notes: –2 stars, pricey –lack of diverse choices. –friendly service though.

Good that they’re open decently late and that they’re right next to bart. I’ve actually found their prices to be on the higher side for certain things, but my idea of what good booze and beverages are probably differ from some of y’all

Formerly the not so great Food Villa, but now the fairly awesome Barnett Market & Liquors. I’ve only bought beer here, but the beer selection is stellar for a corner store, with everything from microbrews to Belgian ales. The real deal sealer for me is the fact that the prices are fair. I’ve bought six packs here for within a dollar of the price at Trader Joe’s. That’s awesome for a corner market. So awesome that the guy in line behind me commented on the price, which I was already commenting on in my head. Welcome to the neighborhood!
