All American Bowling & Trophy

This place has THE BEST customer service. They are really passionate about what they do and have been doing it longer than I’ve been alive (over 25 years). Super friendly and enjoyable to work with. Helped me over the phone to pick a ball from their online catalogues. Had the ball ordered in a few days and I stopped by to get my hand measured and holes drilled before my next league game. The owner is efficient and explains anything you have questions about. I felt so at ease and comfortable with him as I had my first ball made! There’s not a lot of bowling specialty shops in San Francisco, but I whole heartedly recommend this shop!

Goodman helped us drill holes into a new bowling ball. He was professional, super nice and easy to work with. He knows what he is doing and really cares about his work and customers. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. It only cost $ 40 to drill holes into a new ball and Goodman is an expert. We picked up the ball the same day (it was ready in 30 – 45 min).

So funny to go to a store like this. It is two things. First it is a bowling ball store where you can get holes drilled to fit your hand and get you bowling ball serviced. No kidding. Get your balls shined and have your finger holes cleaned. Given that I can’t think of a bowling alley within a mile of the place I wonder how they get business, but every time I go, that guy has somebody’s ball in his hand spinning on the machine!
Now the other thing they do is trophies. And it is the reason why I was there. We needed to put an engraved plate on an existing trophy. How hard can that be, right? Well I gave them the trophy and TW0 WEEKS later It was done to perfection. 3 lines and no spelling errors. It coat me $ 20.
I know. Don’t they normally just engrave on the spot? Well i’m not an expert and I imagine that there aren’t many places like this anymore. Well there are still many trophies to be given. Maybe… Best Unilocaler?! lol

LOVE this place. if youre looking for someone who will take the time and effort to make sure that you get the right ball and service to fit you, this is where you need to go. Service is faaaaaaantastic. Goodman never tries to sell you anything or tell you that you need the most expensive ball to be good. if you need any type of bowling advice, goodman is your guy. he is very knowledgeable and very very friendly. his prices are always good! if youre looking for something that he doesnt have in the store, he can order it for you no problem. i will continue to bring him business. hard to find quality customer service like this nowadays. go see goodman!

This place is amazing!
I went here to buy a new bowling ball after taking a few years off — after finding out Presidio doesn’t have a pro shop, I looked around to find a pro shop in SF. This was the only one that didn’t require a long drive to get to, so I figured I’d try it out.
The service was incredible, and he had great advice without making any assumptions or trying to sell. They had a good selection in the store (at a discount no less!), and could order anything if I needed it. He took careful measurements, and talked me through each step to make sure the fit of my drill was perfect, and the way I like it. I’ve been to a lot of shops that have a way they do things, and don’t consult you on fit as much as take measurements and assume there is a right way to drill for you — not the case here.
Each step of the way he had both a recommendation and some options, and was happy to oblige any request I had.
I ended up buying a ball & bag off the shelf, and he was prompt and skillful setting everything up while I was there — only took around 30 minutes, and he was great about letting me test throw it in the shop to make sure everything was perfect.
I’d highly recommend this place to both seasoned bowlers who know what they want, and beginners who could use some advice. They even have plugged used high-​end balls that they sell at a discount (currently $ 89 drilled), so I’d definitely recommend for someone just getting in to bowling who doesn’t want to spend a wad but also doesn’t want to bowl with plastic.
This place would be easy to miss from the outside, it’s nondescript on the outside and the sign is old and faded, but it’s some of the best service I’ve ever had at a pro shop anywhere, and I’m incredibly happy with the service & price! Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

5 stars for sure. i live only few blocks away, parking can be hard in this area, but its not the worst. its a very small business but great service. Goodman definitely knows his stuff and he wouldnt steer you wrong. I come here for all my bowling needs.
one extra thing is that the store may be hard to notice at first because the sign doesnt stand out; plus he sometimes forgets to turn the open/​close sign.

I have yet to get a ball drilled here, but I did order a few things here. Service was wonderful. Lori and Goodman also gave me a call when my things got here. I like how they don’t force you to get things even though they had ordered it just for you. Prices are pretty good as well. This place is easy to miss if you don’t pay attention though. Also, parking isn’t fun either.
A little side note, I feel it would be a lot better if they updated the store front a bit because the sign is fading a bit.
Other than that, if i need anymore supplies, I’ll be here ASAP!

I needed some trophies for work (student recognition and principal retirement) and came here. Great local business and the lady is super friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back if I need trophies or plaques again.

Lori is awesome! I don’t know much about the bowling balls, but the trophies are great. I get my fantasy football annual trophies made here and they come exactly as I ordered, fast, and well-​priced. They are also able to get you great deals on volumes of trophies. Highly recommend…

I scored a great deal during the Black Friday sale and picked up another Evil Siege for $ 69.99 for my husband and a Siege for myself to pair with my Evil. We dropped off our bowling balls the same day we got them to get them drilled by Goody and the following day we picked them up before league bowling! Excellent service as always. This guy is awesome!

Got a new ball from here. The owner knew what he was talking about and had a lot of knowledge of bowling. He just asked a couple questions and already knew what I wanted and was very helpful and quick. Was in and out of the place in about 30 minutes with a new ball picked out and drilled.

Took my hubby here on his birthday to get a new bowling ball. He was completely satisfied with the service and knowledge of the owner. He asked a few questions and was able to know what my husband was looking for and brought a couple balls out for him to choose from and was able to drill it and we were out the door in a good 20 minutes. I would definitely recommend coming here!

Given that there are few shops left in the Bay Area for bowling supplies, it is really important to support the good guys who are still doing it. Balls are cheap on the internet, but I’d rather buy from someone who can really help choose and drill the ball and offer advice.
Goodman is simply a great guy who cares about his customers. I walked in ready to buy a new ball on the spot and he convinced me to wait a month, check my ball speed at an alley with speed guns, and hold off for deals on clearance balls when the new catalogs would come out. So, he deferred selling a $ 150-​$ 250 ball now to sell a close out $ 100 ball a month later.
I did wait. The ball is being drilled as I write this and there is no place else I would go for supplies at this point. Get your trophies here as well.

Last month, I joined a Thursday bowling league at work. I hadn’t bowled regularly in at least 25 years and my last outing was 4 years ago at a company social. After my first practice game, I bowled 132 with a house ball. I knew immediately then, I gotta get my own ball. I once had a hot pink/​fuschia colored one when I bowled with a work league while I was in college.
I came to All-​American strictly for 2 reasons: 1) Previous Unilocaler reviews; and 2) very close to home. As a former Inner Richmond resident, I’d seen the place for years, but had no inkling to go because I never thought I’d ever bowl regularly again.
I went that weekend and met Goodman. He’s very friendly, informative and is himself an excellent bowler. Asked what my scoring average was and knew I needed a bit more than what would have been equal to a house ball. The ball I wanted wasn’t in stock but could be ordered and would arrive in about 3 days.
I picked up the ball the following weekend. Got fitted and actually even gave the ball a test run in the shop with Goodman on the other end to stop the ball. I immediately went bowling after I left the shop. Bowled terribly (didn’t even break 60). But 3 weeks later, I have progressively scored higher (164 on Saturday). And am now hopelessly hooked (which my ball is designed to do).

Goodman Ng is the man to go to for a bowling ball in the City. Loved the service and he’s a genuine cool guy.
Now, just wait till you see my killer hook!

This place is the total opposite of R & J’s Bowling in Daly City. Where Rick, the guy from R & J’s comes off as an ass, Goodman of All-​American is really helpful. I went there to order my first brand new bowling ball and I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service. While other places usually try to force you to their idea of what’s good for you in terms of what kind of ball to get, Goodman at AAB&T tries to find you the best fit. I’m glad I went to this place, especially after hearing the horror stories about other bowling stores.

I ordered a plaque from them once. Service was great and the staff is really helpful. Price was pretty good. If you need something engraved, All American is the place for you!
