Alioto’s Garage

*update* Got rear ended again and took my car to a different shop. The guy who inspected the car, after they took it apart, said whoever did the work on the bumper did a really bad job and even forgot to put one of the bolts in! I can no longer recommend this place. Stay away!!! Especially if they are doing work that’s covered up by a plastic bumper cover. Ridiculous and I will be speaking to my insurance company about this since THEY sent me there!
Definitely wouldn’t say this is a bad place to go (3 stars= A-​ok, so It’s a decent option). The repairs done look fine and were completed in a reasonable amount of time. Plus the drop-​off and pick up process is pretty quick, easy and convenient. Oh, and the people there are friendly, so I wouldn’t necessarily discourage anyone from coming here.
Now to what I wasn’t thrilled about. First, upon arrival you notice that the people inspecting your car have either a green or red pen. The green is used to circle or point to what needs to be fixed, which sounds like a good idea because the staff know exactly what they’re working on. The red pen does the opposite, so they circle everything they don’t want their guys to fix. Is that really necessary?! Like, isn’t the green marker clear enough? If not, that’s just sad. And honestly, I was kind of embarrassed because they literally circled every singe teeny tiny dent on my car. I’ve had the car for about six years and drive it a lot, so there were little dents on it that I never even noticed, which were caused by using it on camping trips and driving every day. I don’t need you to highlight them for me and every one else who enters the shop, thanks.
The second thing that rubbed me the wrong way will ensure I don’t come back to this place. My car needed to have the bumper fixed, but seeing as I know nothing about fixing cars, I didn’t even think to empty the trunk for the repairs. Had they told me to remove my things at the drop off I would have done so with a smile, but they said nothing so I left my trunk as it was. When I came to pick up my car, almost everything from the trunk was in my back seat. R u kidding me? Now, I don’t mind if you need to take things out of my trunk to fix the car, but why would you shove it in my back seat and never put it back?! I don’t get it and it just feels unprofessional. I should have brought my car to my usual place, but mistakenly brought it here out of convenience. My usual shop would have put my things back in my trunk, wouldn’t have circled the tiny dents on my car, and actually, they probably would have fixed a lot of the dents just for good measure. Oh well, next time I’ll take my business there.

These folks are terrific. Very service minded and quality work on my Prius. If you are a Geico customer there is an excellent Geico Auto Repair Express here which is one stop shopping for auto adjuster and repairs. They looked for ways to save me money — advising me that one claim would cost less than my insurance deductible and I should just pay out of pocket for it. Much appreciated! The repair took exactly as long as they said and the car was delivered to me not only on time but alsoclean and freshly washed.

I had multiple repairs to make on my Lexus and was of course shopping around. I came across Alioto’s shop through a referral and am so thankful for it! Their set up is like no other body shop I’ve seen before, with insurance companies and rental companies on site, not to mention their multiple locations in the city! The staff was so friendly and helpful and I even go to meet the owner myself, Chris! He came out after finding out I was referred and was a first time client. Chris was extremely helpful and genuine and you could tell that he knew his stuff and that he takes pride in their family owned business by caring about their customers. Do not go anywhere else! Their prices were as low as the other shops but the service, quality of work and time taken are all priceless! I won’t go anywhere else for my car!

These guys are incredibly efficient and professional. Their work speaks for itself. My car was all screwed up from underneath and the bumper needed complete replacement. They were done in 4 days! and when I finally picked it up, my car was like new! LIKE NEW! Amazing work!

These guys are great. They’re honest, forthright, and the care about getting things right and doing well by their customers.
I went in for glass repair and they spent some time trying to find a shop that would do it both cheaper and faster than they could, all the while being polite and bantering with me while I was waiting.
They even called my insurance company to sort out a few bits of confusion. All in all, humane, human, and above all, their workmanship is great.

Darryl was great with helping me through all my insurance inquiries and questions. He answers emails so quickly and thoroughly and walked me through the whole process. I’m a newbie with the whole insurance claim thing and he just did all the work! I would probably send him 10 emails a day and he would answer them within the hour! There’s 2 girls who work behind the counter too (I think I actually might know one — if her name is Michele) but they’re both very sweet and polite. Seems like they’re very honest people who give great quotes.

Just a short, very pleased review of an honest, helpful and very reasonable priced garage that excels in friendly staff at all levels and an Enterprise agent on site for loaners. I have been to their garage twice, one with insurance and the other on me. Attention is prompt, expertise on repairs required and detail presented for a very readable quote. Scheduled commitment on insurance repair required several days requiring Hyundai parts not locally available. I received email updates several times and car was ready on schedule. Very professional and all involved made one feel appreciated. My garage for my two Hyundai, though hopefully not too often. Many Thanks Alioto’s Garage and all therein.

This is my second time bringing my vehicle to this shop after an accident. Once again, I had an excellent experience! The entire establishment is complied of knowledgeable and professional individuals who what to create a welcoming environment. From the front desk staff, the rental car staff (enterprise), to the Manager Mr. Diaz; you are guaranteed a pleasant experience. My repairs were done in a short period of time and I was able to pick up my vehicle looking good as new. They absolutely deserve 5 stars!

If I ever get rear ended or hit again, at the very least I hope the person has Geico so I can get repairs done at Alioto’s.
I was rear ended, which caused my car to propel forward and hit the car in front causing damage to both my front and back bumper. I went to Alioto’s early in the morning following the claims process and they were clear about the repairs and what they would be doing. They double checked which scratches/​dents were from the accident and also set me up with a rental car with an Enterprise rep who is on site. The whole process took about 10 minutes at most and I was on my way to work right afterwards.
Their location is also right next to I-​280 so that’s also super convenient. They kept in contact with me regarding the process of my car repairs and gave me daily updates. The communication was awesome and they also had great customer service.
I take the Bay Bridge every day to and from work and I forgot that I left my Fastrak transponder in my car and crossed the bridge in the Fastrak lane with the rental car by accident. I contacted Alioto’s and they were super helpful and understanding.
The repairs took a little less than a week and was finished a day before the predicted date. My car was returned to me and the repairs were perfect. They even bolted down my front license plate for me which was awesome. I previously attached it with zip ties (don’t judge me) because I bought my car in a state where front license plates aren’t required and I didn’t want to drill holes in my front bumper. My car looked amazing, they went above and beyond what I expected.
The repairs were covered by the other person’s insurance and the only price I paid out of pocket was the 10 dollars for Fastrak and the 60 dollars or so I elected for the daily rental car insurance.

I cannot say enough good things about Alioto’s Garage. In the world of car body repairs, they really cannot be beat.
First, they have an Enterprise Car Rental right in the shop, so you can do everything in one place. You just can’t beat that! I’m busy. It’s so annoying to have to get car repairs in the first place, so it’s nice not to have to go all over town to get a rental car.
Second, Alioto’s does great work on your car at a reasonable price. The first time I took my car in, some jackhole had sliced the convertible top of my old ass VW Beetle open to steal my gross Target gym bag, which I had stupidly left on the front seat (like an even bigger jackhole). I hope they enjoyed my smelly socks and yoga pants. Alioto’s replaced the top and made my Lucille, my car is named Lucille, like BB King’s guitar, look perfect again. The second time, a really nice lady backed into my car in the Haight and busted my tail lights. That time, I asked if they could also fix my front seat, which had a broken cable that wouldn’t let the seat adjust or lock into place, and they took care of that too with a quickness and on the cheap.
The best thing about Alioto’s is the communication. They always call and email you to give updates and tell you what’s going on with your car.
The only bad thing about Alioto’s is the location. Making a left into the garage on Folsom is difficult with all the traffic, bikes, and pedestrians at rush hour.
In short, if your (or their) insurance prefers Alioto’s, you should take your car there. Excellent, friendly service. Rent a car there too while your car gets repaired. Win!

Great customer service, friendly, communicative and they even accommodated a bit of extra work I asked for, no charge. My car was hit while parked and I had it repaired here through insurance. They finished the job fast, and even installed new fog light bulbs I ordered, reinstalled the rear door weather stripping that was falling out, and hammered a dent on the driver door in, all for free! I’m unable to answer the phone frequently at work but can email, which they quickly switched to when I stated my preference. Thanks guys!

Came here with an appt thru Allied — Andy Wernette helped me! Prompt, on time and helped me get an adjustor quote/​estimate within ²⁵⁄₃₀ minutes (they usually take 30 – 40).
Front desk staff were so polite, seating area is nice & they have coffee.
My experience was so easy and painfree that I made another appt later that day to bring in my bf’s car that needed an estimate. Got him in the next morning — was helped by Andy Nguyen (if my memory is correct!) and he was again — on time & very friendly!
These people know what they are doing — great for insurance needs! They work on schedule and have enough staff to keep everything moving in a timely manner :)

Great service here! Brought the car in on a Saturday to get it fixed and was told it would be ready by the following Friday. They called me up on Wednesday and it was all ready to go! Woohoo great staff and early pickup? 5 stars for ya!

This place is great!!! The process from start to finish was very seamless. My husband scratched our car in his work garage and we started filling out a claim through Geico. They had an online system to easily search for an inspection and repair shop which led us here. Even though we showed up a week before our appt by accident, Lio was so nice, he took the car for us so we wouldn’t have to come back. From there, they kept us updated via email and text message for when it was going to be ready. They let us come in a bit later so that we could get the car and we just paid our deductible. Really nice people, especially, Lio, Roman & Maggie. Thank you very much– we appreciate your great service and experience!

Just for fun, we decided to drive our little blue car through our garage door. The bottom half of our garage door was decimated and a nice little dent was left on our car hood along with some lovely white streaks of paint from the garage door on the front bumper and hood. We tried to make the joke that they looked like racing stripes… but really, they totally looked like the markings of a car that was driven through a white garage door.
So I made an appointment at Alioto’s on Folsom. I’d been here years before with a different car and had the best experience. The appointment was for 11:45am this morning. Showed up on time and was greeted by the nicest people and informed them that we’d be paying cash.
After collecting some basic info, Chris came in and introduced himself. We walked over to the car and I explained what happened. Chris said that he thought he could get out most of the white streaks/​scratches fairly easily. He asked me to take a seat and he’d see what he could do then and there. From there, I could decide if I also wanted the dent repaired.
So I took a seat in their waiting area and literally 5 – 10 minutes later he was back and said he was done! We walked over to the car that was now pulled up and pointing in the most convenient direction for me to exit their garage. He said they got out the scratches and even washed the whole car for me, which was really a gift since the car was absolutely filthy when I drove it in.
It looked great!!! All the huge white scratches were totally gone, which made the dent seem almost unnoticeable. He told me to take it home and talk to my husband to figure out if we felt the need to repair the dent. Zero pressure. And then I ask what I owe him for the major scratches that he removed and the car wash and he says…“nothing!” with the greatest smile.
Totally amazing. And all this in under 15 minutes.
It would be awesome if we never had bad things happen to our cars. But if sh*t happens to yours, I highly recommend bringing it to Alioto’s. They truly understand customer service and deliver only the best. From the greeter to the receptionist to the estimator, every single point of contact was top notch.

I came into Aliotos after hearing from my car lender that the vehicle could not be returned due to the bottom of my door being damaged. I was quoted from my lender a repair would cost around $ 100+ but they were too busy to do the repair. I stumbled upon Aliotos while driving down Folsom in a panic to get the car fixed and returned that day!
Roman (production manager) greeted me oh so kindly talked to his boys on the floor and they said they would have it taken care of within the hour! They Hooked it up!!!
By far the friendliest and fastest auto body shop I have visited! I highly recommend these guys especially if you need to get your car needs work and fast!

My experience at Alioto’s start to finish was fantastic. Some awful asshead knocked into my car overnight in its private parking space in a private (but ungated) lot, leaving behind a huge dent in the bumper and no note. I hope there’s such a thing as driver karma.
Once I called Geico to ask what to do next, they easy breezily set me up with a next day appointment at Alioto’s, which is a Geico partner and happens to have both a Geico Xpress office right inside (for the assessment and quote, as well as the ultimate «sign off» for quality assurance) as well as Enterprise car rental. Talk about 3 birds with one stone.
Alioto’s explained everything clearly and estimated my car would be done within three business days. The enterprise guy set me up with a car. The geico guy explained that everything is included in my policy and that I’d be expected to pay only the deductible once I picked up my car (and for the gas I used in the rental, but that’s all.)
I got email updates from Alioto’s daily as to the progress. The car was done exactly when they said it would be. It looks great, and they even washed and detailed the inside even though all they worked on was the bumper!
The pickup process was smooth and simple. So was returning the rental. All in all, this was a 5+ star experience, I’m gonna recommend it to anybody that asks, and especially those who are covered with Geico anyway!

I’ve been a customer since my dad used to come here, okay my dad was the customer and I was a kid just tagging along.
This place has grown. They have a building on the side and storage area in the back and more Alioto’s locations to serve your needs around San Francisco.

I take my business to Chris and Matt now. The building has an Enterprise rent-​a-​car office, Geico, and Alioto’s has a specialized rating by TESLA to work in their cars also.
They take great care of you. Friendly Service. Good Prices. They’ll treat you fair. Absolutely what you want when taking care of you auto body needs.
I decided to come in and have an estimate on a part of my frame and the rubber seal around my door. Chris has ordered the part and we’ll get a new rubber seal when the part comes in.
Like in the past if you go in say Bing Dionida told you. LOL. My father and I share the same name.

They exceeded my expectations, and had my Beast ready a day early, even after having to order a part needed.
