Alexander Chukreeff, DDS

I’ve been a patient of Dr Chukreeff’s for over five years. I’ve always been happy with his advice and care. He’s very careful and gentle. He does not push procedures that are not necessary, and his pricing is very fair. I’d recommend him to family and friends without hesitation.

I have been going to Dr. Chukreeff for several years now for all of my dental needs and it has always been a pleasant experience. Dr. Chukreeff and staff have always been welcoming, friendly, and made me feel they truly care about my health. Can’t ask for a better dentist!

WARNING: He gives bad recommendations, judging from Unilocal reviews, this is not the first time Alexander wanted to drill unnecessarily.
Long story short, Alexander said 3 cavities for immediate filling, and 3 to be watched and maybe drilled. I then visited my regular dentist in Denmark, who strongly advised against any drilling. He said I had 3 worth watching and 3 small insignificant things that they hadn’t even seen (my Danish dentist is a larger clinic with international process certification).
I also note that the equipment at this facility is out dated, they not using digital x-​rays. Which fyi is a healthier option :)
The dental chair and equipment was generally old and worn down. The state was so poor that I seriously doubt it could be cleaned properly. For example the chair had so many cracks that wiping it with alcohol wouldn’t do any difference.
Also the entire clinic was carpeted. I don’t know how that is even allowed… I assume there is no regulation over here. For those who can’t see the problem, please consider that there is no way to wash a carpet. My regular clinic would wash the floor between appointments if the previous client had core-​sore or something.
(Other than that I find it reasonable to assume that the floor is washed in a daily basis, which is clearly not possible here).
There was also much fairly immobile furniture, which obviously couldn’t be moved for cleaning. Again, I don’t know how that is allowed, there is no way to clean under that.
So cutting this review short, there is not reason to continue listing faults at this clinic when basic hygiene is an issue. But before I submit this review, I leave the record reflecting that I informed Alexander of the recommendations by my Danish dentist, and he did not feel the need to reply or in anyway defend his recommendations.

Dr. Chukreeff told me that I had 5 cavities and one of them might need a crown. This was one year after having 4 or 5 cavities filled, a filling replaced and a crown procedure by Dr. Chukreeff.
I went and had a second opinion. The second dentist did a very thorough examination; I told him why I was there. I had no cavities. And the second dentist was disappointed not to find any cavities — for the sake of his profession’s reputation.
This was 3 years ago and I still have not had a cavity that requires filling.
It makes me sick to my stomach to write this review which is why I waited so long. However I feel a responsibility to do so. If Dr. Chukreeff recommends a number of procedures I would definitely recommend you spend the money and get a second opinion.

His staff is great and the hygienist Shannon is quick, efficient and friendly. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for quality care. Look no further!

Have been going here for several years and they have wonderful staff and do a very good and professional job for cleanings, fillings, etc. The one drawback is their accounting/​billing department. Last November I received a bill for $ 500 from work that was completed over the past two years. I had asked for an itemization of the bill and haven’t received one and it’s 5 months later. I have called the their accountant on several occasions and she has not called me back to get this resolved. I would have given 4 or maybe 5 stars if the accounting were better and they would actually bill on time because as I said the dentistry work is great.

I have been seeing Dr. Chukreeff for 4 years now. He’s the best dentist I’ve ever gone to. He’s professional and his staff is wonderful and compassionate. The office is clean and tastefully done. He works with your insurance company to get the most of your benefits. I really enjoy going to his office!

Been going for years. Whole office is great and Alex is great about spreading procedures out if need be for insurance. If you have insurance concerns be sure to let them know and they will help out as they can. And yes they will fill your meters.

WONDERFUL DENTIST AND STAFF!
I was referred by a friend who has been seeing Chukreeff for years. When I called to make an appointment, the receptionist was super warm and friendly over the phone — she got me in to see the dentist that week.
When I arrived at my first appointment I was 10 minutes late because I couldn’t find parking on Union Street (I recommend parking on other neighborhood streets and making your appointment for late morning). Upon check-​in, Summer, the receptionist gave me a handful of quarters to feed my meter and said with a smile, «No worries, I’ll let Alex know you’re here.» I’ve been back multiple times (at least 5 times) as the result of awful dentistry done by Alexander Kogan at Pacific Dental Spa.
As a patient of Chukreeff’s, I’ve had a cleaning /​check-​up, multiple fillings repaired and my first crown — everything has been really easy, educational and surprisingly enjoyable. These people make you smile — yes because they are dentists — but also because they provide excellent, down-​to-​earth customer service. After having been there so much in the last few months the entire staff feels like friends.
