I can’t recommend this dr. more highly. We met with others and then clicked immediately with him. He was always patient with our questions. He easily agreed to our birth plan and supported all our wishes. I can say much of the birth process ended up exactly as I envisioned due to his efforts to keep our plan as much as possible. I was able to catch my own sweet baby. We will be using him again in the future for sure. I couldn’t be happier.

Dr Yasharpour was great. We were introduced to him through our midwife when our pregnancies became higher risk. He was off when we had our emergency cesarean with our first, but was our doctor for our second. One of the only doctors we’ve ever found who is committed to his VBAC moms. If that’s what you decide, he will go the distance for you as long as it stays safe. I’ve heard that he has the lowest c-​section rate in all of LA county and wants to keep it that way. On top of all that, he is wonderfully sweet, funny, and trustworthy man. We would recommend Yash to anyone.

I switched recently to Dr Yasharpour seeking an actual enthusiastic Vbac obstetrician not the switch and bait kinda of doc I had previously. I’ve seen him twice along with his NP and am very impressed already. Both appts he was at the nearby hospital attending to pts and I waited for him. One hr or less in total even waiting for him. My previous doc usual wait time 1 ½−2 hrs every single appt. Dr Yasharpour office staff is amazing. Efficient, polite and friendly. I needed 3 signatures for work and sdi. there is one girl whose job is organizing paperwork and getting signatures. Done within minutes. I asked for a phone number at the hospital. Had it within minutes. very impressive. I will update this review after my actual delivery but if he’s as good as everybody tells me I expect it to remain 5 stars.

Dr. Yashapour took really good care of me during my pregnancy. Very sweet and caring Doctor. I gave birth to my daughter when I was 16 and never made me feel uncomfortable about being so young like the nurses did at valley Presbyterian. His main concern was my well being and my daughters. The nurses in his office were very nice too. I have nothing but good things to say about this man and his nurses :) my aunt who was 40 at the time — also came to him during her high risk pregnancy and says the same thing. Great doctor we trusted him since day one. Thank you!

This doctor really needs to work on his bedside manner. He was absolutely unsympathetic about the issue I came to see him for. His general response was to just deal with it. He didn’t seem at all concerned that I am experiencing pain. He advised against surgery. I asked about any other options. I guess he didn’t know I’d done my homework when he said no other options were available. I brought up the few I’d read about and he then explained what they were but his whole affect was one of not caring or seeing any hope for me. I saw another doctor a couple of weeks later who said surgery was indeed an option. This guys is a joke. I don’t know if my age and race were factors in his unwillingness to take me seriously (it’s statistically proven that people of my ethnicity are less likely to receive prompt, effective care). Also – there was a woman in the room with him who didn’t introduce herself. Turns out she was observing him but I think an introduction in such situations is very necessary given the need for patient comfort, privacy, etc. Just don’t go here.

Let me start off by saying he is an amazing Dr. He saved my life during my delivery and did above and beyond to get my baby boy safely out. I originally had a different doctor for most of my pregnancy and he never did anything or alarmed me that there was something not right. It wasn’t until I was admitted to Holy Cross hospital that Dr. Yashapour saw me and made it clear I had some complications… He immediately put me on bed rest and I decided although it was late in my pregnancy I wanted him to take over. I met with him regularly at the hospital and he was so kind understanding and looked out for me. Every nurse I spoke to only had great things to say about him which were spot on. I was so blessed and fortunate that he was the one who saw me that night I was admitted! Had he not I wouldn’t be alive today enjoying my baby boy. The procedure he did was extremely difficult and rare to pull off but he did it. I would recommend him to anyone in a heart beat!

Dr. Yasharpour was fantastic! This review has been a long time coming– I had my baby in August 2014. Couldn’t imagine having my baby delivered by anyone else. Throughout the entire pregnancy he was very attentive in answering our questions/​concerns and he did a wonderful job helping me manage my weight gain. I gained only 20 pounds throughout my pregnancy, and was up only 8 pounds after I delivered. He also reassured me that he himself would deliver my baby and that he would do everything possible to make sure it was vaginal birth– as was my hope. My water broke two weeks before my due date and he was at the hospital to examine me just an hour later. He said my water broke but I was not yet in labor. Being my first, he said he would start me on a low dose Pitocin and would keep me under watch with IV antibiotics to prevent infection to the baby. He was so patient and I had my baby girl naturally 2 days later with him. He was always around the couple days I was in labor! I had the best care at Holy Cross– the L&D nurse was excellent and helped me push for just under an hour. She said he trains all the nurses he works with to have the best technique during delivery. Would definitely recommend!

We had such a great experience with Dr. Yasharpour and his staff. Dr Yasharpour respected all of our wishes and spent time addressing concerns, putting them to ease by explaining all our options. His episiotomy and c-​section rates are very low and only performed when absolutely medically necessary. We couldn’t have asked for a better, more hands on, doctor. He was a big part in making our first childbirth experience truly unforgettable.

I’d like to start off by saying Dr. Yasharpour and his NP are nice but his front staff and manger are super rude and unprofessional. I have never dealt with such level of unprofessionalism in a medical office. Every time I would call and leave a message I would never ever get a call back. I would never get a call back with lab results even when I asked to please get a call back to let me know everything was normal. I would always feel rushed when seeing the doctor, I felt like I was a number rather than a patient.
I finally found a great Doctor at a different facility, one who actually seemed to care for me as a human being and a patient. My new doctor requested medical records and never received them and when I called the office staff said that they don’t release medical records to other doctors and that I would have to pay $ 35.00 for copies that I would have to pick up myself. Finally after 1 month of going back and forth and getting the run around they finally released my medical records! This is my is my first pregnancy and I would have liked to have stayed with one doctor through out my whole pregnancy it’s was just unfortunate his staff is horrible.

This is the doctor we have had deliver our last 2 children.
First off, these 5 stars go towards his wonderful staff. Every time there is an appointment his staff and N. P have very professional bedside manor. This is essential to having a happy pregnancy. You work with these people just as much as the doctor and the team makes you really feel welcome and comfortable.
Dr. Yashapour himself has been the best doctor I have seen in L.A. County (my wife and I have had 3 children delivered in Los Angeles since we moved here)
Our first child born in Los Angeles County, we went through 3 OB GYNs and by the time we delivered our doctor was out of town (yeah, it happens)
But now with F. Yashapour, this is a man who is very approachable and calm, his bedside manor, communication, seriousness, education are top notch. For mommys, his tenderness in regards to physicl checks is better than most (according to my wife)
One of the major concepts most couples should focus on is the team that you visit for your pregnancy. Do not let your OB or his/​her team get you annoyed. Shop around and find a dr/​staff that make you super super comfortable.

I love this office! First off, every single person that works there is so friendly. They are quick to help you with any questions you have even if you’re not at the office. I have called many times with a bunch of questions and they are so helpful. They don’t make you feel like a burden with all of the questions. The doctor is super personable and never rushes you during the appointments. I couldn’t have asked for a better doc.

I just had my son early December of last year and had my prenatal care with Dr. Yasharpour for all of my pregnancy. I found him through my insurance as one of my options to be my Obstetrician and immediately googled him. He had really great reviews so I didn’t hesitate to make my first appointment.
The exciting thing for me was that Dr. Yasharpour would see me throughout my prenatal care and be the one to deliver my son. With my daughter. We had KP, so it was whoever was available was the one to deliver her which was fine in the end because we were lucky to have a great Doctor. Throughout all my appointments. He saw me and maybe once or twice the NP saw me. That’s pretty darn good for a busy Doctor!
The girls in the front and the back are really amazing and sweet. They all knew what they were doing and if I needed an authorization through my insurance. They did it with ease and I never had to bother with any of it.
Any way, Dr. Yasharpour is one of the most amazing doctors I’ve ever had! He’s sweet and kind and patient. If I ever had concerns. He was there to answer. Luckily on them, I was a very easy patient. LOL! During my L&D. He was awesome! Not overbearing and very calm. Delivery was so different from my first. I did not sense any concerns and he gave me the honor of pulling out my son. I didn’t get that chance with my daughter. So that moment for me was the best moment in my life!
I ended up tearing because I had a previous episiotomy with my daughter. He stitched me up very nice. Looked better than my first delivery. We were also lucky enough to have him perform our son’s circumcision which also turned out great. No problems at all with his healing. I can seriously go on and on for ever about him and his staff. I’m extremely satisfied with my overall experience here.

Dr Yashapour and his nurse cheryl are both great people I go there many times because of issues and they seem to always take good care of me even during my pregnancy and after! Been there for years and never once have I been unsatisfied. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a good OB office to go to this place. Great service and of course friendly staff there as well. Thank you all!

I am a birth doula and had a client deliver with Dr. Yasharpour in August of this year. My client had received no prenatal care until a friend of hers introduced her to me in her 37^th week. She had just secured insurance through her husband’s work, and we needed to find a doctor for her, STAT!
I had heard excellent things about Dr. Yasharpour through my community of doulas, so I had my client call to try to get in. Even though it was so late in her pregnancy, Dr. Yasharpour made an exception for her and generously agreed to take her on.
He was incredibly supportive, reassuring, and encouraging of her natural birth plan.
When the day came, he checked on her during labor and made sure she felt supported and cared for. He allowed her to labor in the shower, and during the delivery he was absolutely extraordinary– better than any doctor I’ve seen, and I’ve been attending births for almost 6 years. He had the nurse keep the lights low, so the mama could relax. He guided her to reach down and lift her own baby to her chest. He allowed the cord to remain attached for quite a while so the baby would receive optimal blood supply. I could go on and on. He allows a mom to receive many of the benefits one would have from a home birth, in a hospital setting.
The level of compassionate care he provides is unparalleled, and I will be highly recommending him to everyone I can.

Dr Yasharpour is an excellent doctor !!! His friendly staff is amazing!!! Everyone is so professional and caring they make you feel awesome!!! He makes sure you understand everything he explains to you and he is really kind and respectable. I recommend him for any mother to be.

I was so pleased with my birthing experience with Dr. Yasharpour. He is very kind, respectful, and direct. I only had a couple of prenatal visits with him before my labor because I was expecting to give birth at the SCV birth center, but I ended up transferring to the hospital.
Dr. Yasharpour delivered my baby beautifully. I feel that he gave me a voice in the hospital room. He knew what I wanted based on our previous visits and I was confident that he would do everything possible before suggesting a c-​section, which was a possibility, but luckily for us, not necessary. I asked for the lights off, but the hospital staff didn’t think we could. When Dr. Yasharpour came in, the nurses told him what I had asked for and he responded, «whatever the mother wants.»
He let my husband catch the baby and made sure the staff allowed me to do skin to skin. He came in and checked on me and baby the next day in the hospital which was really comforting.
I highly recommend Dr. Yasharpour if you are looking for an OB/​GYN. He will look out for your interests and respect your birth plan.

Dr. Yashapour is an excellent doctor. I had my first baby boy almost two years ago and the first time experience was awesome and special since I pulled out my son, because he told me grab his head and pull. To me that’s a great new experience. Great service and during my prenatal care he discovered a rare disease in which I had to be induced. He explained to me the cons of not being induced. Thanks to him I have a healthy toddler. I will go back again. Made an appointment for my upcoming beginning of my prenatal care.

Dr Yasharpour delivered my first baby girl at Providence Holy Cross last month. The day I gave birth was the first time I met him, I had a different ob/​gyn doctor that’s why. We told him that we want a natural deliver, no epidural or pain medications. He was supportive of our choice and even taught my boyfriend how to manage my pain. He even praised me for deciding to go natural birth. He was really caring and friendly and the rest of his nursing staff was really nice and accommodating. I remember when my baby girl’s head was about to come out, he told me to reached and grabbed for her. My boyfriend really likes him, too. He was funny and down to earth as well. I highly recommend him to a friend or to anyone.

The best Dr in the valley! He is always so attentive with his patients, he always has time to answer all of my questions. The staff is also great always nice and helpful when needed! Which is always a plus when your a new patient! I have delivered my kid with Dr. Yasharpour and it was a great experience will totally recomend him to my friends and family!..
I also like how you dont have to wait like 2+ hours to get seen like in other clinics… so this is a great thing!
