My name is Matthew Leland, and thank you so much for browsing my work!
I started photography in high school, and mixed with my passion for art, moved from making this a hobby to a professional business working with clients I love!
Based now in Southern California, I have been building my client base as well for years in Northern California and travel all the time for work. Nothing better than getting to travel to do what you love, right? While weddings might be my specialty, this never stops me from expanding my skills into even more territories of photography, as shown from my pretty wide ranged portfolio.
I was born and raised in the Northern California area, growing up in Castro Valley. Moving from the Bay Area to the Central Valley, I spent ten years there before now residing in The San Fernando Valley. Living in such a diverse area gives me such a wide array of subjects and influences to explore.

My name is Matthew, and this is the professional side of my photography! I’ve been shooting for about 10 years now, and the last six or so have been taking it to more professional level!
I was born and raised in the bay area, and currently reside in the The San Fernando Valley. I’ve shot and covered all over the Northern California Area for years, and I’ve just moved into the Los Angeles area to expand my client base and also look for new opportunities. My style I feel is a vintage look with a contemporary style mixed in to keep things fresh. I want my clients to look like the movie stars they are.
I’m also an artist and avid car builder as well. Classic cars run through my vains, and I have a ton of fun restoring and driving them.
