Tuesdays 7−8p at American Legion in Encinitas

Thursdays 7−8p at Infinity Ballroom in Clairemont

In this dance/​fitness class, you will workout your body and your soul with the latest R&B/Soul Line Dances popular in the East Coast today. Classes include a full-​body warmup, across-​the-​floor «Soul Step» movement, weekly Soul Line Dance Choreography, Soul Train Line and lots of love and laughter.

Established in 2012.

Our mission is to raise a greater awareness in San Diego of all the fun expressive Soul Line Dances created everyday in African-​American communities across the East Coast, South and Midwest, and to help dancers of ALL AGES to feel more free in their bodies express themselves fully through Urban R&B/Soul Line Dancing.

Meet the Business Owner

Meeshi A.

Business Owner

Meeshi Ravi Anjali has studied, performed, and taught various ethnic arts for over 20 years. He has trained with masters of West African drum and dance, Afro-​Brazilian dance, Korean Percussion, Modern Dance, Acro-​Yoga and Tai Chi. Currently, he studies/​teaches Lindy Hop Swing and Soul Line Dancing and enjoys exploring the beautiful rhythmic improvisation within these popular African-​American dance forms.

Since 1998, Meeshi has taught swing classes at all of San Diego’s major local universities (UCSD, SDSU, and USD) and has been the promoter/​organizer of several of San Diego’s most popular swing venues including the popular Firehouse Swing Dance (1998-​present), San Diego’s longest running Lindy Hop Swing venue.

Meeshi discovered Soul Line Dancing in 2012, and has been devoting most of his free time learning/​choreographing/​teaching this evolving dance form to his friends and students throughout San Diego County.
