I’ve been in this cab business since the beginning of time… Adam and Eve were my first customers… And I told that woman, ‘there’s no eating in my cab… that apple’s forbidden…’ but women were so stubborn back then… Actually I’ve been driving a cab since 1975 and I’ve been the owner of America’s Finest Cab since 1983…

Xcab is based near the Fashion Valley mall in the Hotel Circle/​Mission Valley area. This makes its response time quick for any calls made from there and other central San Diego neighborhoods including Hillcrest, Linda Vista, University Heights, Old Town and Kearny Mesa. A lot of other cab companies are based in the outskirts, so this does make a difference! The Xcab driver is physically disabled so depends on his cab for his livelihood. For this reason, he takes the profession very seriously. He is courteous, professional and always a good host. He is willing to make friendly conversation and always has a new (tactful) joke to tell every time I see him. He always finds the shortest route considering traffic, etc. He has been a cab driver in San Diego for decades, so he really knows his way around! His car is always clean. He consistently keeps up with routine maintenance and is a very careful/​skilled driver. I always feel safe. I have used Xcab a few dozen times now, and highly recommend it!

Les is absolutely the best. This is a man that loves what he does, makes his riders feel like his friends, and gets you where you need to be while making the ride a joy. Funny, personable, smart. We sought him out every time we needed a cab while in SD. Forget Über, use a professional driver, get where you need to be safe, fast and love every minute of the journey.

Les is HILARIOUS. We woke up late for our flight and he swooped us up to take us to the airport. He kept us in stitches the entire ride, enough to make us forget the stress of being late, and got us to the airport in record time. Not only were we early, we felt like we had our own personal comedy show! If I lived in San Diego I would only take Xcab. Like his card says, you get more when you ask for Les.

I took several cab rides when I was recently out in San Diego and I have to say Les made them memorable. I had him as my driver TWICE by accident during a week long stay and both times he made me laugh. The jokes are great, but the service was professional and courteous as well. You definitely get more when you ask for Les :)

This is the first Unilocal review I’ve written and actually posted. I jumped in two cabs on my trip to san diego where they drove us out of the way and weren’t very friendly… I don’t think that cabbies need to be friendly at all. Then I took a ride with Les. This was days ago and my cheeks still hurt from laughing so much. He is kind, a great driver, and super super funny. I felt like I should have paid double for the comedy routine. Overall wonderful man, regardless of the fact that he got me from point A to B quickly and safely. If you ever get a chance to ride with him I recommend it. A cab ride with Les should be a tourist destination at the very least.

We had the best cab ride experience with Les! Many times cab rides can be sketchy and awkward when you ride with a quiet man who drives too fast, but Les is quite the opposite! He tells great jokes and stories while ensuring that you have a pleasant experience. I highly recommend Les for a fun cab ride!

Best cab ride I’ve had yet. Les had my girl friends and i cracking up the entire ride down to the GasLamp district. I could tell he enjoys what he does, his thrill for the job seemed as though it was his first day. Ill definitely being calling Les the next time I’m in the area.
