Western Flooring

Duane was very easy to work with and accommodating of our needs. They did a beautiful job of taking out the old flooring and putting in new flooring including baseboards. The price was very reasonable. We can’t recommend them enough.

Western refinished about 1200 sqft of wood flooring in our 1926 craftsman home in Pt Loma. Duane came on time for the estimate, and was very straightforward about the work to be done. His bid came quickly by email.
The work done was excellent, including repair of flooring where there was damage and reconfiguration of walls (you can’t even tell where the old walls were). They were also able to add to the scope of work when we decided to remove linoleum and refinish the kitchen floors as well.
Finished on time and worked with our schedule. All around professionalism.

After suffering a water leak due to the inept installation of a new refrigerator, another story altogether, we were faced with having to replace out flooring. We sought references from friends, co-​workers and the insurance company and Western Flooring was the name most frequently mentioned. Based upon these recommendations, we contacted Western Flooring to schedule an estimate.
Duane Johnson, the owner of Western Flooring, personally to our home in Encinitas, CA and after a thorough inspection, provided us with we found to be a very fair and competitive estimate for the job. Duane is a very knowledgeable professional, with an admirable work ethic and a pleasure to work with. But most importantly, his workers reflected that ethic, taking great pride in everything they did. Not only did they show up on time and on schedule, they were very professional and reflected the same work ethic we noticed in Duane. At the end of each day, they would clean up after themselves, leaving our house livable and neat.
Now, we’ve all had our experiences with contractors and workmen. Once the work is approved, the contractor disappears and the people who show up to do the work The workmen always seem polite at first, but once they leave, you find things broken, the carpet stained and with the exception of their «job,» everything a mess. Not so with Western Flooring! Duane was frequently at our house checking on the progress of our work and checking in with us. I highly recommend Western Flooring. They are well run, professional and polite and their installation of our new hardwood floors was flawless.
