We have used West Coast Electric to hang 4 ceiling fans, 5 sconces, a chandelier, and 4 lighting fixtures. If ever there was a problem or question about something, they promptly took care of us. The team is super friendly, knowledgeable and they will work with you until the job is complete. They don’t ignore you just because they already have your cash in their pockets. They stay on task until the very end. Highly recommend them!

I had Chris Bailey of West Coast Electric Solutions do a whole house re-​wire, new lighting throughout, and a panel upgrade on a recent remodel project. Not only did Chris and his team do an exceptional job, they were prompt, professional, courteous, and above all, the pricing was more than fair.
West Coast Electric Solutions has completed numerous remodel projects for me and I would highly recommend them. His hourly rate is more than fair and comparable to other electrical contractors at his level. Remember that when you hire a contractor for a general service call you are paying for their travel time, their experience in tracking down the problem in a timely manner, their insurance cost, licensing costs, travel expense, truck, tools, etc.
If you are charged the minimum amount for a service call ($ 150) then you should walk away knowing that it was money well spent. I have had other electrical contractors spend hours trying to find problems that Chris and his team found in minutes. On more than one occasion Chris and his team had the extra parts necessary to do the repair on their truck, thus avoiding the cost of traveling to the supply house.

I called Chris to check out my kitchen circuit since I had heard that he had experience fixing electrical problems in several units in my condo complex. Chris never came out, but he sent 2 other guys instead who changed out a circuit breaker to repair the problem.
I was surprised that the bill was $ 168.35 which included a $ 150 charge for the visit. When I asked Chris about this he said that $ 150 is the MINIMUM charge that he charges for any service call. The guys were in my place for less than 10 minutes and replaced a circuit breaker that was $ 16.99 so I feel like the $ 150 was a bit excessive. If you call him, be forewarned that you will be charged $ 150 just for the visit.

Just had this company in our home to do 2 separate projects in the past few weeks.
Great crew; excellent clean up; work done to exact expectations; no wasted time; prompt action.
Most importantly for us is that they were respectful towards us and our home.
We’ve been looking for quality and reliable electricians for awhile – looks like we found them…

Chris Bailey and his team were excellent. As a new home owner I had a lot of questions and was very fearful of getting ripped off. Chris and his team answered all my questions solved all the issues I needed fixed or troubleshot in my home in an affordable and quick fashion… They were always on time and professional. I highly recommend Chris and his team and its comforting to know that as I new home owner I now have an electrician I can trust for the life of the home.

Chris Bailey did all of the electical work on my home, from the wiring, to the installing all of our indoor chandeliers and all of our outdoor lighting, including our landscape lighting.
Chris is the only electrician I call when I need service, regardless of how small or large the job is. Chris is honest, trust worthy, fairly priced, extremely professional, detail oriented and he cleans up after himself!

Chris Bailey was very nice and knowledgeable when he came out to give us an estimate.
However, things did not end well with work that principally involved the install of an ET2 Pendant light over the kitchen table. Chris called several days beforehand and said his back was acting up so on the install day he may not be available but his assistants would handle it. He was ultimately able to stop by briefly during the day.
On the day of the install his two crew members showed up on time and began work. The junior member inexplicably was the one doing the most important work: hanging the expensive and fragile pendent light. I saw him unpacking the light and when I returned to the kitchen later it was up and installed with the power cable straight and tight.
The instructions, which I left on the kitchen table, depicted the cable as corkscrewing around the support lines. So when I asked him to loosen the cable to conform to the diagram (and the way it is featured in all of the photos and depictions) he eventually fessed up that he had cut the cable (because of some ridiculous excuse he came up with) and we didn’t have enough length to loosen it to achieve the look I wanted. Since it didn’t look any good the way he had the cable draped, I told him to tighten it back up again like he had it originally. I later looked at the discarded parts in the trash bin and found he had cut 8′ of insulation from the cable’s length and there were multiple abraded sections.
I called ET2 and they said there was no way to replace the cable and they did not recommend or support such a course of action. It would invalidate the warranty.
I related this to Chris later that day and he said he’d find out about replacing the cable (he could rewire a similar replacement cable himself if need be) as well as talk to his team. He came out a few days later but had no replacement cable or solutions other than pulling it out to the maximum length available and said that his team thought it was my fault this had happened because they claimed I had actually told them to cut it short. Chris additionally suggested I really should have been monitoring them more closely. So he believed his team who were clearly motivated to cover their bungled install over me, the client. I hired them after all to install the light correctly, which means not cutting the power cable or limiting my options for how I want to run the power cable now or in the future.
Considering that I paid them $ 120 per hour, I would expect things to be handled professionally and with absolutely no on-​the-​job-​training. I could go on about aspects of other work that was done that day but this is the main issue that prompts this review. I do not recommend and would not use them again.

When we had an electrical problem our manager sent over Chris Bailey, the owner of West Coast Electric Solutions. He arrived on time, knew what the problem was and ably took care of matters. We highly recommend.
