Wax and Glow

Yvonne is AMAZING! I first came across Wax & Glow when I got a Groupon. I am SO happy I did! She makes what can be an uncomfortable experience much more bearable! If you’re prone to talking to forget the pain, she’s a great conversationalist but will adjust to your level of talkativeness I’m sure! She is also very knowledgeable and very reasonably priced on top if it! Where I used to have funky patches of regrowth and dreaded the weeks between waxing, she got me on a very maintainable schedule and the regrowth is actually much improved (where I don’t feel embarrassed between waxing anymore!). She’s the only esthetician I’ve met who rewards you for your loyalty via extremely reasonable pricing and «bundling» services! I highly recommend her for all of your waxing needs! (so sad to be leaving SD and miss out on her!)

I shouldn’t even give this place or individual one star. I purchased a groupon, contacted Yvonne by calling her to schedule an appointment, no answer. Her voicemail did state she accepts text messages. So I figured, hey, I’ll shoot her a text to schedule an appointment. Well that didn’t get me an appointment. Instead of going back and forth through text messages to schedule an appointment, pick up the phone and call. Even then, I gave her my availability and she never resounded. Terrible customer service. Thankfully, I was able to cancel my groupon! Maybe I should stick to an actual waxing business. Lesson learned!

She probably is very good at waxing, but it is difficult to make an appointment with her. I showed up twice to the studio but no one was there. I would recommend maybe having an administrator or a website to help make appointments and keep track of them to help both client and her.

Yvonne was wonderful and I highly recommend. She is professional, personable, and did a great job.

Felt very comfortable and relaxed love Yvonne. There are tons of products to use all vegan and natural. The sauna is awesome and it’s a great area easy parking. I recommend it for anyone who wants to feel comfortable and relaxed.

I received a (cherry bomb — cheery essential oil) Brazilian and brow wax from Yvonne.
She is SUCH a delight! She knew her stuff when it came to hair growth, skin care, etc. and was such a riot during my visit and extremely professional at the same time. She ensures you are comfortable and are leaving looking great. I definitely recommend her to all and will be returning soon! (She has great deals too! Be sure to inquire!).

Yvonne is a gem! She is very nice and puts you at ease, and really takes her time t does everything possible to reduce pain and keep you as comfortable as possible. She even has numbing spray! I’ve got really sensitive skin, and she was careful to use a combination of different waxes in different spots to limit irritation. She also made sure to carefully go back and catch the strays. I’ve never been happier with the result, and will definitely be back!

Yvonne is great — she is knowledgable and fast — a very important quality when it comes to waxing. Definitely recommend this place. Of course, it’s waxing, so it’s pricey but you get what you pay for.

Wax & Glow! I visit Ms. Yvonne every couple weeks to get a wax here and some glow there. Her products are top of the line and Yvonne always makes me feel so relaxed and pampered (without feeling guilty).
It’s all the little extras that really make the difference for me. She Always sends product home with me. Not a lot, but enough to work on what she thinks is necessary for the next week or so.
Some people might think of this as trying to sell more products, but I like that she only uses what they sell there at Sara Elizabeth Spa. That way I can try everything before I buy it and I know it’s vegan or at least it’s been manufactured in a responsible manner, no crap in it like so many skin care lines tend to have.
Yvonne is very affordable, her room is clean and very comfortable, she’s reliable and will have you dozing off to la la land in no time.
My first experience with her was through a gift certificate I received for Valentines Day, I felt so comfortable I just kept going back to her.
I know there is always the temptation of just buying the cheapest Groupon that pops up for a wax or a facial. Bit you really do get what you pay for. Establishing a relationship with someone who will continuously be dealing with you and your skin issues can really pay of in the long run.
