Valvoline Instant Oil Change

This place is awesome, they have a top notch, very professional staff, and they go out of the way to give you the best deal possible. These guys will not try to sell you something you don’t need, fantastic, speedy, and very professional at what they do. I highly recommend this place for not just oil changes, but other Service as well.

These guys are great here. Been coming to this location for my oil changes for the past few years and they are always quick, honest and friendly. They will recommend what you need done and are not be pushy at all. I had my check engine light on for awhile in my car and I went there on a day that I didn’t have a service and they were very helpful and took a look at my car for nothing! Daniel and Ty recommended some things to take care of and told me to come back if I am still having any issues and provided excellent customer service. I also always get coupons in my email/​mail which is great for each time I go :) Definitely recommend if you need an oil change to go to this location/​place, you know you can trust em and will have great/​fast service!

I just took my car to Honda for scheduled maintenance. The service manager informed me that there was no air filter in the air intake housing. I had a coupon for Valvoline on Midway the time before this so I decided to try them out. I asked them to take a look at my air filter and change it out if needed. The gentleman working on my car suggested that it be replaced and the price was reasonable so I told him to go ahead and change it. They charged me for a new air filter and forgot to put a new one in. I drove around for two months without an air filter in my car. That’s pretty horrible if you ask me. I plan on filing a complaint with the corporate office. I understand that mistakes can happen but this is just unacceptable.

They never disappoint and have great customer service. That goes for all locations including the one at Scripps ranch.

Had the best experience and service here. Gabriel was the attendant and he was super helpful and kind. Great fast and affordable service with friendliness. I miss my old place «oil can Henry’s» but glad to have found this place in San Diego.

Cool guys working here. Willing to work. I would give it a 5 stars but it wasn’t quite perfect! A perfect oil change would entail a waiting area serving Starbucks!
I usually get jiffy lube to do my oil changes. This place is better. Great service, was really friendly at the approach. They were thorough throughout the process. I went when it was dead there so who knows how fast and efficient they are during those times. I went on a Sunday at 9am. Gotta get all of my errands done on a Sunday morning!
They showed me exactly what they were doing to the car as I stayed inside of it kind of like a drive thru. In any event if you don’t want any interaction with the workers go to jiffy lube.

I brought my husband’s truck to Valvoline as a favor to him. He works weeks at a time without a day off. It seems convenient.
Coming here was a huge mistake! I pulled in, the guys were very busy with a line. They greeted me and the kids. Customer service was right on. I checked in on Unilocal and they had a check in offer, yay! I’m going to save money today, I thought. Well, they gave me the Unilocal deal. They got us out of there in a jiffy. But, over the next few days. … all of the oil (synethic) leaked out of the truck in front of my house and all over the streets of San Diego!
When my husband finally got a day off. He had to put 4 more quarts of synethic oil in the truck. That’s when he discovered they had left a rag on top of the engine! That mistake could have started a fire and completely distroyed our truck! That oil also leaked out. So, after sending the truck to the mechanic shop. They discovered that the housing where the oil filter is attached was damaged and we had to pay $ 500 to have it fixed. Our truck was in great condition and didn’t come in to Valvoline leaking anything. We keep it well maintained. What a disappointment.

I’ve had mixed experiences with this place over the years, but the guys this morning were awesome– fast, honest & very personable. No nasty upsell or tricks. And did you know they will top you off between oil changes… no charge?!

Super speedy and awesome service! incredibly swift and personable I was blown away… going to make a Facebook post about this place as well because that was an experience! in and out in 12 minutes — incredible.

Just like advertised — drive-​thru oil change. This is my 2^nd time here and the reason I come back is because it’s quick (10−15min) and the crew is professional. It’s Valvoline oil and I get synthetic for my Volvo C30 T5 Polestar LIMITED Edition so it’s a little pricey but if you check in on Unilocal there is usually a promo.
Remember folks! Take care of your car and she will take car of you. Amen!

May not be the cheapest, but certainly the quickest! And thats pretty much gold to me. (Check their website for coupons before you go. I forgot to do that).
The customer service was great too, and i feel like thats certainly what other places are lacking. I like what you guys are doin here :)

If I could, I would give this place 10 stars!!! We came here for an oil change and was recommended that we get the radiator service as well… so we did. Unfortunately, the car didn’t’ like that so it started leaking as soon as we left the lot. We made a u-​turn back and showed the guys what happened. They checked it out and were more than accommodating. Had us come in the next day so the manager could take a look and we did. He took a look and told us to leave it there and he would fix it. This place went above and beyond to resolve this issue. Now that is customer service you don’t see anymore. Needless to say… we are «lifers»!!!

I usually change my own oil so I don’t have much experience going to oil change places. Since buying my new car I’ve had to go get my oil changed instead of doing it myself (my truck was easy to do). My dealer (Scion/​Toyota of El Cajon) offered free oil changes for the first 25k. Went there only once since it took 2 hours. Next oil Change I went t SynFast on H st in Chula Vista. I felt upsold when they pressured me into the $ 90 service
So I decided to try another spot. After searching reviews in the area I was in I found Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Midway in Sports Arena a few weeks ago and I’m glad I did. I never even had to really step out of my vehicle. I just pulled in and they took care of me while I was in my car. The staff was super cool and professional. They did complimentary checks on things like my lights, air, air filter, etc. I purchased the synthetic oil change for around $ 60. There was a premium service for around $ 90 but they didn’t pressure me into it which I like. During the change they offered «recommended’ services based on computer information on my vehicle. They never pressured me into anything. In a matter of no time I was done.
Overall I was happy to pay the amount I did for the service I got. I would def go back and recommend this place.

I’m so impressed with the services I’ve received here today. I went in to get my oil changed and was immediately greeted with a smile and told that I would be helped out as soon as possible, he told me how the drive thru oil change worked, and guided me to the front. They checked my headlights and brake lights as soon as I pulled up. They then informed me that I had a brake light out, so told me to come look to ensure that I wouldn’t be overcharged for something. The oil change and brake light repair service took around 15 minutes! Just like they advertise. They did NOT try to sell me any unnecessary services like I often run in to at other shops around the area (especially being a woman who brings her car in). They also value all coupons advertised via their Unilocal app and are very kind about it.
Very respectful and knowledgable workers. Would definitely recommend friends to come here and this will be my go to spot! :)

Its a mothers wish, with 3 kids & a working husband obviously never time for these kind of things! You don’t even step out of the car while getting the oil change. Amazingly surprising when i first came here.

Well this was a lovely surprise! I was able to get an oil change during lunch. It took approx 20 min from the moment I drove in. I was greeted by a very knowledgable employee who walked me through the process. I was able to stay in the vehicle and when it was time to pay I was able to redeem some coupons. Overall a very good experience. Full synthetic oil change for under $ 60 in 20 minutes. Can’t beat that.

I wish I got the name of the individual who helped me. I’ll have to check my invoice later. He started to give me spiel on what they normally check during an oil change. He told me that he tested my battery, and it failed. He told me that my battery was rated for 695 CCA, and I was testing at 495. I thanked him for the test, but there is no way I’m buying a battery from here. When I drove to Autozone and popped the hood to get my battery, I noticed that my battery was rated to 550 not 695! Granted it wasn’t performing at 550, but at 695, it was GUARANTEED TO FAIL. So when I went into Autozone and started talking batteries for my car, they showed me that my car needed about 420 CCA to start. I definitely have more juice in that battery.
This individual rigged the test to dupe me into buying a battery. We see this on news investigative reports all the time, and now I’ve lived one! If you’re going to go here, make sure you have them escort you and physically show you everything they’re talking about. The battery rating sticker is ON the battery. If I walked the car, I would have easily called his BULLS***.
