Genie Car Wash

My favorite car wash ever!!! I took my car here today and got the complete detail on my car and it looks nicer than the day I bought! See the pictures I uploaded! I absolutely love the work they did to my car and the customer service is extremely friendly! The young lady in the front named Lourde was very helpful and the gentleman Z who greeted me answered all my questions and sent my car off to his team to take care of. Customer for life!

Buyer beware — RIP OFF
Brought my truck in to wash — they tried to upsell me on the $ 80 hot wax/​detail/​wash and for some reason I said yes.
The wax job was decent, however the problem was the inside was either not rubbed down and vacced or done so very badly. Looked like it hadn’t been done at all… which is the entire reason I came here.
At home, cleaned up the inside of the car and today took it to my goto carwash. What a waste of $$.
Don’t go here — just filed a BBB complaint.

Hey man, I like the place. All you weirdo OCD people ought to spend more time working on your disease. genie is a completely solid car wash place. not perfect, not bad… but that basically summarizes life.

I’ve been here three times, and the first two times were okay, not great. The last time I paid $ 20, and even tipped $ 5, just to see later that my car had still tons of stains and dirt on the front and back when I walked around the car. Wish I had looked closer at my car before I tipped and drove off. Not going back.

My car was super dirty after spending a weekend on dirt roads so I stopped here since I was in the area. I paid the 15.99 for the lowest «full wash» since i couldn’t find any coupons on line. I was watching the guy drying my car, and he spent a long time wiping it out really well. I had 4 bucks to tip him, but after seeing how long he had spent on my car, I grabbed an extra dollar. As I drove away, I noticed an old fast food receipt, of mine, folded up with 42.00 cash in it! left on the change area. It must have fallen between the seat and center console. The car wash/​vacuum/​or wiper guys could have easily stolen it, but didnt.
I guess I’ll go out of my way, and come here for my next car wash!

You’ll either get a super awesome job done, or you’ll get a meh job. Just depends on how much you paid for it. Its different prices for the same wash.

Not a bad car wash I told the guy I wanted a car wash even let him talk me into the next level «super deluxe» then he tried to sell me the 15 for $ 150 and I told him he was talking me out of a car wash twice and give me what I asked for. He kept trying to sell me to get the $ 150 deal I finally said «NO» I am out of here. He lost a long time customer by not shutting up. went to the place down the street on Midwayfor a $ 1 less. Very good car wash, thoroughly cleans your car and pay attention to detail. Never have any complaints.

These guys change my oil on my Audi A4 and have for a while but this time was different. This time they broke the oil canister cap and didn’t even inform me. So I’ve been driving around for the past 5k miles with this broken piece. I go to get my oil changed at the place near my house and they tell me they need to replace it. So I look at it and it’s for sure broken. Now I’ve called them over and over and they haven’t picked up the phone or responded to messages. If I were you I wouldn’t use these guys. Any place that breaks a piece of your car while working on it and doesn’t replace it or at least inform you is a shady business. Make sure you check twice before and after you use these SNAKES!

I’ve been to this place three times in total, and every time I go I wonder why I went in the first place. I guess I was hoping that the next time I went would be a different, better experience, but that was never the case. The first time I went, I noticed the workers who vacuum do NOT take much care with their tools and hit everything in their path. They didn’t realize I was watching because most of the customers go straight inside to pay after they take your car. Afterwards, the guy who drove my car into the car wash itself drove it unnecessarily fast in their little lot. And it only gets better…
The last time I went to this circus, I noticed that only one guy was vacuuming so I assumed he was the only one working at the time, so I proceeded to park my car behind two other cars in his lane. When he saw me put my car in his lane, his mouthed pendejo & cabron at me while simultaneously waving his hands angrily to why I didn’t park my car in the open lane next to him. I’m by no means a Hispanic-​looking guy because I’m a chino-​looking Filipino (spitting out a rhyme here), but bruh we’re in SD. Everyone here knows a little bit of Spanish. Immediately after, I got out of my car and had a mad-​dogging contest with my new best friend. He lost the bet and so I made him vacuum my car.
In the end, I wouldn’t come here if you care about your car. The low prices are not worth the trouble of worry, but at least you’ll get a free Spanish profanity lesson.
P. S. To my amigos who dry the cars, you guys rock. No complaints with you guys whatsoever. I’m sorry I won’t be giving you guys anymore tip because of your buddies on the other end.

I went in for a wash, after the vacuum, the man pulled my car up to the position to go though the car wash. The man pulled it up to that position (he did not know I was standing their watching) I watched him get out, as he did he looked down at the open compartment on my door that I keep change in. he got back in my car, closed the door and I watched as he scooped out a handful of change. He than opened the door, got out, and put the change in his pocket while he was looking around. At that point I made sure I was looking at another car so he did not notice I was looking at him, a mistake probably. I went right up to the front and told the manager what I just witnessed. He told me he will look at the tape since they record everything. Knowing I was to be vindicated, I waited twenty five minutes for management. I was in complete shock when he came back to me and told me, «I saw nothing on the video»
I told him I will show him myself, he refused to show me the video and walked away.
WOW, I can put up with my car that was not cleaned well, but it is hard to deal with thief’s.
You might go back to this place, BUT I WILL NOT, EVER.
P.S I tried to post this with no stars, but you have to list at least one. Let it be known, that if they had a place that I can rate it as –5 stars, I would have.

First visit today, but was pleasantly surprised by the amount of detail and time they put into my car. I purchased the $ 15.99 wash (the lowest and cheapest one they offer), and my car was DESPERATELY in need of a wash after the crazy winds and storms made my car look like it had lived in the desert for the past 5 years (not to mention, the obscene amount of sand I had inside my car from lugging sandbags and a dog from the beach). My silver car looked BROWN from the amount of sand that was on it. They vacuumed out EVERY piece of sand that had made it inside my car. They cleaned both the inside and outside of my windows (rear window included), not an easy task given the months of dog slobber on the inside of the windows and also managed to remove a bird poop stain that three previous car washes were not able to get off.
They popped the trunk and also wiped down all the dirt and dust that had collected in those pesky nooks and crannies. Like I said, I was very impressed and I think it was worth every penny I spent, given the beginning condition of my car. I will probably be returning for my car wash needs

I should have read the reviews before taking my car here. This past weekend I took my car in for a simple, full-​service wash. Everything seemed fine when my car came out — mediocre car wash, but you get what you pay for I suppose.
I drove to another store to run an errand and then noticed the gas tank cover was missing from my car! I immediately called the business and thankfully they had recovered the cover part. When I pulled up, a guy came out with the cover and immediately went into a story about how it must have been loose and when the machine hit the gas tank, it must have popped open and the cover came off — NEWSFLASH! Someone drove my car through the wash, and when my car is engaged, all of the doors lock. When the doors are locked, there is no way the gas tank will open. So basically, there machine had to have hit the gas cover hard enough for it to have come off (and yes, there are now small scratches around the gas tank).
I will not be coming back. I have been through car washes many times over the 2 years of owning my car and this has never happened, so I’m going to say they have an issue with their machine.

I really don’t know what else to say but that my truck was still dirty after «washed and cleaned» by them. Paid $ 28 for a «Deluxe» wash that should include more than just a gush of water.
I took my work truck and it was pretty dirty. We had an event at a ranch a few days ago so there was a lot of dust in and outside of it. It was a weekday at 3pm so the wait wasn’t really so bad, I think it took about 15 minutes for everything.
When I got the truck the cup holders in the middle were still full or dirt and I had to ask them to re-​clean it. Once I drove out and parked home I noticed the inside and many parts hadn’t even been wiped off! I mean, seriously?! I could have ran that truck through a self-​service wash and wiped everything myself!
Just a poor job. Never retuning or bringing my personal car there.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! They scratched up my touch screen car radio/​CD player and also left bird poop on my car. At the end they don’t change out their drying cloths so they end up scratching up your car inside and out. Take your car somewhere else!

Utterly dissatisfied with this car wash. The reviews say this place is always packed but it’s the only carwash location for miles that services the OB area.
I want to commend the «veteran» auto wash specialist first and foremost. I was very impressed with how he managed the line from vacuum to wash tube. He was hustling and running back and forth despite the 80+ degree weather!
Other than him, my experience was below par, I feel. My cousin and I came to get a wash. She got the basic $ 6 wash and I purchased a Deluxe Wash at $ 23. Our cars came out no different than if I would’ve got a basic wash, except my tires were shinier and smelled like coconut sunblock.
I was expecting a thorough wipedown, inside and out and it just wasn’t done. There were water spots everywhere and had to show the guy wiping my car down every single nook and cranny. not to mention when I drove off there was still a little water in my side view mirror crevices and it splattered all on my Windows.
I patiently waited 45 mins (should not take this long since it’s not a hand wash service) thinking that they put a hard effort into each and every car… but left disappointed.
I, more than likely, would not come back or recommend this location.

A+ for these homies. They wash your car, vacuum and dust the interior and change your oil for about forty bones. Not a bad deal!!! I highly recommend this joint to all of you calue driven people out there. Check it out! Oh, and be sure to tip the guys who dry and polish your car, you cheap– asses!

Better than your usual car wash!
It’s always crowded and packed with people waiting, but they are quick. Recently I visited during a busy Friday afternoon and I was in and out in only 15 minutes.
I like that the cashier is friendly and that NO ONE here upsells you. I’ve been to many other car washes where they pressure you from the point of entry to the point of purchase and even after they’ve already finished cleaning and drying your car. I once had a guy at ANOTHER car wash try to upsell me on a $ 100 hand wax job and then when I declined he guilted me endlessly and told me I should sell my old used car to him.
I go here because I bought a daily online deal awhile back for five washes for $ 30 or something and I think that is the way to go. Regular price is like $ 12.99 for the basic (no-​wax) wash with internal vacuuming.
If you check in on Unilocal,they give you a complimentary tree air freshener and there are a dozen scents to choose from! Retail is $ 1.49 but it feels great to get something for free.
There is free wi-​fi in the waiting room and they put the password out on the table. Bring your laptop! — but your car will probably be done before you know it.
They post their prices on a clear board behind the cashier — quite transparent.
It is annoying that they close so early — 4:45 or 3:45 on Sundays. There have been many times where I have put off coming here just because it was already 3pm.
They recently changed their brushes so they are rainbow/​Mardi-​gras colors… which puts a smile on my face.

I purchased the Unilocal deal. Disclaimer — this does not cover your full car wash. I ended up owing $ 4 more + tip. Still cheaper than a normal car wash though! Service was a little slow, but I went right at opening. I left my driver side personal mirror down hoping it would get cleaned, something most places miss, but it was not! Other than that this place wasn’t above average. There’s plenty like this in the area. I give them three stars only because the first time I tried togo I show up and there is police tape around the whole place, not open. I thought I was being scammed, but came back a few days later and they were open again!

Please do not be tricked by the convenience of this location. A few months ago, I was persuaded to buy $ 100 for 10 full service car washes. $ 10 a wash for full service sounded reasonable to me, but they don’t have their prices listed anywhere. I came to redeem my first wash today and the girl said full service washes cost $ 15.99. Also, apparently may card is only for 5 washes instead of 10. So that makes it $ 20 a wash. Seriously?! What is the point of buying ahead of time then? WHAT A RIP OFF.
PLEASE BEWARE. By the time you’ve realized you’ve been cheated it is probably too late to do anything with your credit card company.
The sad part is I also bought a card for $ 400 for 5 waxes. I’ll never see my $ 500 again. I MIGHT get 10 washes total… $ 50/​wash for my stupidity in trusting this business.
