Uptown Smiles Dentistry has been in business for over 40 years. Previously owned by USC graduates Dr. Jack Brauer and Dr. Jim Higgins. This dental duo delivered high-​quality dentistry, and gold crowns that were truly pieces of artwork.

Dr. Paul Luczynski now works as the new generation dentist, providing the existing and new patients with the same patient care and high-​quality dentistry, all with a twist of modern technology and style.

Uptown Smiles Dentistry offers ZOOM! Whitening, Same-​day porcelain CEREC crowns and digital X-​rays which provide significantly less radiation to patients.

Meet the Business Owner

Paul L.

Business Owner

Paul W. Luczynski is a native of the Pacific Northwest. He grew up in Washington State and attended Seattle Pacific University for his Bachelors in Biology. After graduation he was accepted to Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Southern California where he completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

Dr. Luczynski discovered his love for dentistry after a mission trip to Greece where he helped provide free medical care to Albanian gypsies living in the junkyards. He has been involved continuously with dental volunteer work both locally in San Diego and overseas in Trinidad, Tobago and Jamaica. He still enjoys traveling and finding new adventures. You will see him around the office taking time to talk with his patients. He is always interested in new music, traveling and surfing.
