Ultra Diamonds

this guy/​business is located in burlington coat factory at the clairemont mesa towne centre. i was looking for a quick repair for my watch (it’s nothing special~ a plain fossil watch that just needed a quick battery change). Called burlington coat factory just to explore my options and i was fwded to this business.
he’s not associated with burlington coat factory but i guess just has his business within the department store.
talk about rude and rushed on the phone! whoever answered the phone was extremely short with me and seemed like he was too busy to deal with my phone call. if i were a business owner, i’d think i would want the incoming business. guess it wasn’t important to this guy.
what’s worse. i explained quickly that my watch was nothing special and just needed a battery replacement. the guy told me that it would take about a week and cost about $ 17.00. Are you fking kidding me?! not only did i gawk at the price but at the time that he needed to flip open the back of a plain jane watch and stick in a battery. i understand being busy but that was an absurd time frame.
being rude on the phone + overcharging + asking me to give a week of my time = him telling me to f off and go elsewhere.
which i did and boy am i so glad i did! if you need watch or jewelry repair. check out timewise blumenthal. it’s close by to this clairemont square and not only way cheaper~ they’re nicer and kinder. (check my review here:

and i am writing this review as a solid warning to those who may have been seeking a watch repair place.
you have been warned about this business!

I wish I could give lower than 1 star to Ultra Diamonds. Here is my experience: Purchased a diamond necklace. Wanted certain measurements for the chain. They cut the wrong measurements and then took a very long time to fix their mistake. Purchased diamond protection plan but need to go into the store every 4 months to have the diamonds inspected. That’s fine. Go to the store. Wait 15 minutes for the ultra diamonds employee to get off their lunch break. They inspect and clean and sign off on the inspection. Then a couple months later the chain breaks. Call ahead to tell the store that I will be there so that I don’t have to wait this time. Go to store. Wait another 15 minutes for ultra diamonds employee to get off their mid-​morning break even though I called ahead. He tells me that they cannot fix the chain because I didn’t purchase the necklace protection plan but only purchased the diamond protection plan. What a joke! I can fix the chain for 25 dollars plus tax. Obviously the chain is defective if it broke within a couple months however I am the one responsible for paying. So, if you like waiting, poor customer service, overpricing, trickery, etc. then shop at ultra diamonds. Be sure to purchase the protection plans because they are definitely a waste of money. I will never shop at Ultra Diamonds again.
