Description

Specialties

The Tierrasanta Seventh-day Adventist Church exists to further Christ’s message of the kingdom of God: that it is primarily a matter of the heart, that its emphasis is that God is love, and that it is manifested by our respect, compassion and mercy for others.

History

Established in 1888.

The Tierrasanta Church traces its roots all the way back to 1888, when the «G Street» Church, the first Seventh-day Adventist Church in San Diego, was organized. A few years later the «University Heights» SDA Church was formed. These two San Diego churches form our historic bedrock.

With the passing of time, the «G Street» Church became the «Broadway» SDA Church, and the «University Heights» Church became the «North Park» SDA Church. In 1985 these two churches merged together to form the «San Diego Central» SDA Church. It was in 1991 that the «Central» Church relocated here in Tierrasanta, and our campus was dedicated in September of that year.
