Tierrasanta Community Park and Recreation Center

This is a wonderful pool with an amazing section for little kids. It’s fenced in with a lifeguard, has a slide and climbing structure, lounge chairs in the shade, and the perfect amount of water for children under 6!!! $ 4 for adults and $ 2 for children. Great way to stay cool in the summer.

Great park! Good size, they have a large grassy field area with baseball and softball fields. They also have basketball courts, and play structures on top of sand. With a lot of other room to play. They have an indoor rec center, which has a great outdoor pool, and a really cool water play area for younger kids; this includes waterslides and other devices for spraying water. There is also an indoor part of the center which has basketball, and other sports. There are classes and leagues as well. Oh, and don’t forget the tennis courts. Highly recommended Park.

Beautiful Park! Great for kids or picnics. Also Great to play soccer or practice with the team! Tennis courts, pool and activity center in park area! They often have baseball games and holiday activities. The play ground is two separated for age and perfectly made for all ages!

I have been to many basketball gyms for different purposes but I have never been to a gym that reserves the court to so many people without warning to the public I have driven to this place many of times did not see any signs on the door saying that the gym was closed did not have any messages on the voicemail of this gym thing saying that the gym was closed and I show up to them telling me that there is no open play for basketball the courts are reserved wasted gas wasted time my recommendation is to find another recreational center other than this one because other recreational centers have their time on their voicemail and if they do have the court reserved for other people they put signs outside of the door so that way the public know before they walk in. For example I went to this Recreational Center today to find out that the mike rented out the entire gymnasium to a bunch of Muslim female women who did not want anybody to even enter the recreational center because of the fact that they weren’t wearing the proper attire for women in the Muslim religion that is not fair to the people who came to the recreational center to find out it was closed by having to walk in and be told to leave that is no fair to the people and young men who walk into the recreational center and get Shunned out because of the female Muslim women that’s in the recreational center and them not wanting to wear the proper attire for Muslim religion it’s horrible they rented the court from 10 o’clock A. M until they close today without notice at all and ruined a lot of people’s days… do not go to this gym it’s a waste of gas and time

«Public» tennis courts mean they’re open to the public, but is not a city– owned facility. $ 5/​per adult to play if you’re not a member.

Basketball on Thursdays is always nice inside the gym until 9 always good competition. Saturday morning/​afternoon there are people there. This is mainly a outdoor courts type of play tho were you college kids play and high schoolers. Only problem I’ve got is that they have been having problems with people stealing phones found out after my phone had been stolen that I was not the first by far like really not even a sign or something… Other than that never really gets too dumb while playing.

Pros:
Lots of parking. Newer playground with separate structure for younger & older children. Bathroom accessible near pool (not sure on the hours).
Cons:
Not much shade. Playground sand needs replenishing under little kid playground and makes for a tough, slippery climb out.
The Pool:
Pool has very limited hours even in the summer. They have a separate gated children’s pool that is less than 1 foot deep with a tunnel slide and dedicated life guard. Went for the first time with some friends recently and the kids had so much fun but were crying in pain by the end. The top of their feet and knees were so scraped up from crawling around in the shallow pool. 2 days later my son is still really beat up looking. I strongly suggest water shoes and long swim trunks to keep their skin safe.

The best (and main) park in Tierrisanta for residents. They’ve got a huge field that could handle at least two baseball games and a couple of soccer games at the same time. There are also tennis courts, indoor/​outdoor bball courts, swimming pools, and a play ground for children. There’s also a couple of bbq pits next to the tennis courts. I take my dog here often to run on the big field (in fact that cute Cockapoo in that photo is mine :)) and she LOVES it. Outdoor bball courts could get pretty busy sometimes, but they’re nice courts which is why everyone goes there to play.

Probably the most pristine looking community park I’ve seen in the entire county.
Basically, if someone was going to make a postcard of a community park they should choose this one located in the «upper crust» section of Tierrasanta.
I’d say they pay the grounds keepers an extra grip because it looks so spiffy, manicured and well maintained.
I bet they shoot anyone who lets their dog shit on the grass.
Seriously.

Great place for activities with the family. They have basketball, piano lessons, exercise classes, baseball/​softball, tennis, soccer, and more…
We really enjoy going and participating in activities here.

Good sports park with a small play area for the little ones. My family was visiting from the east coast and my one year old nephew tagged along for the trip. He’s a park guy and loves the swings, but there are only 2 swings here for toddlers. There is a jungle gym, but nothing for little ones really.
This was the closest park to the hotel at where we were staying, so we didn’t have a lot of options. Luckily on the days we did visit the park, my nephew didn’t have to wait for any of the swings (since there were only two that could accommodate toddlers).
On the last visit I was able to watch a slow-​pitch softball league. I noticed right away that the best athletes on the team play in the outfield and third base. Non-​athletes are «hidden» at short, second, first and behind the plate. The outfield is huge and no knock one over the fence would mean your name is Prince Fielder.

Here with Sports for Exceptional Athletes! Playing indoor hockey and Bocce, very big recreational center! There’s a huge field for playing baseball, softball, or soccer. The basketball court is really clean & its two levels w/​an elevator– There’s also a facility for the swimming pool!
The neighborhood is real quiet & the area is kept clean, Playing Bocce was real hard today though– the grass was too thick & high lol*
There’s indoor as well as outdoor restrooms (like the beach ones)

A popular place for community activities of all kinds, all ages, and all year long. There is a swimming pool and tennis courts, indoor and outdoor basketball, large fields for baseball, soccer, and even summer movies, a playground for small children, and rooms for meetings and classes. About the only thing lacking is shade. Although there is no street parking when both lots are full, it is sometimes okay to use the lot at the adjacent middle school. The park and rec center are usually the first places to check for local summer camps, after school programs, sports leagues, community celebrations, and special events.
