The Ideal Match

I very much regret investing any money in this business, it is very expensive and in my opinion the matches are far from ideal. I have had much better experiences on FREE services like OK cupid, in fact I found the person I love, the person I described to The Ideal Match on Ok cupid on my own. As mentioned in other reviews you have 3 days to cancel and you should. I never told anyone about this investment because I felt like an idiot for thinking it might be a good idea. I was very hopeful and even knowing that I had 3 days, I decided to go for it because the saleswoman made me believe that their matches were people seriously invested in finding a partner to the point of «putting their money where their mouth is» and if I just had not found success with my own method I should let them do the work for me. During your interview they will have a person in mind for you, even bring them up by name and tell you how they match your prefrences as well as how much fun you’ll have, etc, etc. I don’t believe in the efforts to match people appropriately, the interview feels more like a sales strategy to get you in the right emotional state to buy and not a sincere effort to extract information on your preferences and use it to match you up, again I mention that’s how it feels. My matches were very random. In no occasion was there enough chemistry to consider a third date. I hoped this review will be useful to you and that you can learn from my expensive mistake. You’re «picker» is not broken and they will not be any better at blindly selecting another paying customer than you might be at meeting a suitable match. The only thing I’m grateful for was the proccess of putting my preference of an ideal match on paper, thinking up the person specifically with the qualities I wanted. This helped me to recognize the person once I met him, but you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars to do that. Good luck to you, don’t give up on love!

SAVE YOUR MONEY! NOTICE THE REVIEWS ONLY HAVE ONE STAR! I have been signed up for almost four months and had one good match. The only other one they connected me with was NOTHING like my preferences. I have had nothing since. They talk about their huge database, but when I asked to come see some photos, my Personal Match Coordinator discourage me to do this. WONDER WHY? I expressed my unhappiness to the VP, Director of Client Services and of course my personal Match Coordinator, only to be told TOO BAD. I wasted a lot of money for nothing. ideal match was the best decision I ever made in my life. Somebody wonderful into my life that I will cherish forever. They did exactly what I asked him to do and found me the perfect ideal match. introduced me to to several nice women. It wasn’t there but I’m the third match it was a perfect match.

The women I was matched with, had such a different mentality, and looked so different each time, to me it was just, oh, she’s available, boom, next. I was respectful and kind to everyone I met (always).
I have my own look and personality (a lot of tattoos) that I love. To the surprise to women they set me up with, who didn’t know. So unfair to them and me.
They recently sent me a referral after over a year, I thought I was done with them, My take was how can they even know what someone even looks like, their picture and my interview was 2 and a half years before. So I declined, and told them to take me off the list.

Please be careful of signing up at this place. I honestly would not recommended this place to someone who is looking, to meet a normal person with the qualities that you requested. My personal experience with dealing with them is that they seem like nice people, but don’t go the distance to match you up with the details that you have provided them… Maybe if you are just looking to meet new people this might be the site for you. But this not a professional place to meet someone with the qualities that you spent time on your application. I would think that you are better off to save your money, meet someone off plenty of fish

I believe all of these negative reviews. Beware. Why would any company have to change their name if it was a REPUTABLE company? Remember: you have 3 days to rescind IN WRITING!!! This will nullify your contract. You should get your initial investment back ($ 500) and a copy of your rescinded notification that you and they sign within the 3 days. Go in person to be safe. HAPPY HUNTING !!!

I have not been happy with the services of this company to date.

I lived in Palm Springs, Ca and I wasted my money with this service. They just sent anybody available; it was so horrible; I canceled to avoid being sent any more disasters even though my contract was not over. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY — — you are better off finding someone at McDonald’s!

They don’t even deserve 1 star. Avoid this place. They charged 900.00 consulting fee on top of a 500 package that I thought I was buying. 2 hours consulting fee? 1 hour was filling out the financing paperwork, the other was wrought with idle time waiting for someone to finish the job. I paid over $ 3,000 to have this company match me with women who were generally nice, but in no way matches for me. They suck people in with those lawn signs near freeway entrances that read: SINGLE? Go to
. It’s a simple landing page where they capture your contact info, say nothing about their company, and then incessantly call you until you commit to their «complimentary» intake interview. At this interview the manager explained that they match their clients with an ideal partner… I can’t recall her exact words, but it was something like 99 percent of the time or more. Who wouldn’t be excited about those odds and be willing to put down up to four or five grand for a chance to meet their «ideal match?»
Well, after the first 3 or 4 dates were off-​the-​charts WRONG for me (the women I was matched with had similar complaints about their matches — which probably included me!), I called the office manager, complained about the matches, so he upgraded me to their next level of membership and no extra cost. The difference? Once they match me with someone, I could call the office and ask questions about the woman. So what? The next few matches were still way off.
Next I had an attorney read the contract I signed and she gloomily reported that it was water-​tight and I couldn’t break it, no matter how awful their match-​making abilities were.
I actually had them match me with more than the ten I was allotted in the contract, and not once did I feel that they were getting closer to the kind of woman I was searching for. I finally bailed on them last month.
The women in the office were nice and mildly helpful, and I feel for them because they’re working for such a manipulative corporation that is preying on people’s deepest needs and desires.
I hope no one out there has to go through what I went through with this company. Save your money, go on

If I could give them a –100, I would. I went on 4 or 5 dates, all were terrible. If you are a woman looking for the most socially awkward, uneducated, obese men in San Diego, then do shell out the money for this sham of a matchmaking service. It is a waste. Please, please, please, I’m telling you… not worth the money.

I wish I would have read these reviews before I wasted my time going here yesterday. I am glad that I walked after they keep me waiting for 40 minutes. It is pretty obvious that this is a turn and burn operation.

I got a response from a manager at the Ideal Match, AFTER I had already cancelled the membership and the financing. They said I was a «new member», I am not, I joined last August. They offered to give me what I already had, a cancelled membership and financing. It seems to me it was done in hindsight to manage my bad review of their service. My review stands. I believe a lot of nice people get hustled into a contract and out of money for a service that is poor. Join Plenty of Fish, or one of those other free services, it’s free and you if you don’t have good experiences at least you won’t feel like a sucker on top of it. Happy hunting for Love, don’t waste your time with this service.

This company «hard sold» me into purchasing a membership and the promise was successful, great men. What I got introduced to was cursing, pool hall dives, and very old men. I called and emailed my feedback but kept getting the same types of men or letters saying they hadn’t forgotten about me but were looking for my «Ideal Match». They refuse to give me any percentage of a refund but all the sudden are now saying they are reviewing the feedback in my file and will send me more «white collar» type men. Too little too late. Stay away from this company! I’ll be going to the Better Business Bureau and potentially Small Claims Court.

Please I was ripped off too just like all the rest of you on here I am joining with other Members to sue this Company I feel hurt betrayed and lied too I wish I would have did my homework before signing with them Please dont do business with this Company

Just thought I’d post the latest on The Ideal Match. This is from an email I got from them today and my reply.
Them: We here at Client Services are concerned that we have not heard from you, and you have failed to respond to our previous attempts to contact you. We ask that you please advise us of your particular situation. If you would like to keep your membership active we will need to hear from you. We look forward to serving you. We encourage you to respond can complete your membership.
Me: You have only tried to contact me twice.
My last date was on 9÷2÷11. I emailed you the details on 9÷5÷11. I NEVER got a reply back. You sent me a form letter asking how the date went THREE months later in Nov. Now you are emailing asking again something I’ve already told you that happened over FOUR months ago. Really!?!
Pull up the email from 9÷5÷11. I doubt you really look forward to serving your client’s needs. If you did you would have replied to my 9÷5÷11 email. And worst case you would have sent me the form letter sooner than 3 months after a date.

DO NOT SIGN THEIR CONTRACT. They are a bunch of liars. They told me they had «plenty of matches» for me but they DO NOT. They sent me an introduction to a guy who was living in his truck, in Orange County. I live in East County, that is not close. DO NOT believe them. They just want your money. They got mine…

I was a member of The Ideal Match, and before that they were The Right One — when I originally signed the Contract — but their publicity got so bad they changed their name to The Ideal Match — but believe me they are the same company as The Right One — check them out you’ll find millions of BAD Reviews because the company was sued so many times they had to change their name due to the bad publicity. Check out the bad reviews on yahoo, BBB, complaints. com, all kinds of sites, look for The Right One (their former name) and you will find tons of negative reviews. It is the same exact company — same owner, same management, same address, even the same phone! They are BAD NEWS, so just stay away!!! They will scam you like they scammed ME!
Ideal Match, TRO, or whatever name they want to give themselves was incredibly unethical to me. They took my money, added my name to a database, and then sent matches to people based on the «end-​date of my contract» — so I was never actually «matched» with anyone — the names in their database were just revolved around contract dates. I learned this by going on a date with someone else who figured this out with me by comparing our results and contract dates. It is a total scam and if you read closely in the contract it even says they can match you with anyone — so why do an interview or even try to «claim» they are a matchmaking service — it is just a numbers game!
I strongly urge you NOT to sign a contract — if you already have, keep a copy of everything and don’t be afraid to sue them for not fulfiling their contract! People DO WIN AGAINST them more often than you might think! Hell, its probably why they have to charge so much — to pay for all the court costs!
Bryan Lyndahl is the current Director and he was the Director under The Right One as well. They didn’t even fulfill the scam contract I had with them.

my latest experience with TIM Management (who runs «The Ideal Match» the successor of «The Right One» — who was located and doing the same business in the same location, see reviews on that company here on Unilocal) happened at the Superior Court of San Diego Kearny Mesa.
I have realized after a while how they scam the people. Obviously so many people are angry with their services, they cannot be all wrong and stupid. And those speaking out are only a small percentage of all those who got scammed and are ashamed of it.
So here’s their TRICK. They call you for an interview where they pretend to want to learn about your wishes. What they actually do in that interview is to tell you whatever you want to hear in order to make you feel good, to reach that ecstatic level or curiosity.
They collect all kinds of data about you and about who you would like to date. Then they run some stupid compatibility tests just to give you the impression that they are really professional matchmakers.
As you are really deep in thoughts about those questions, etc. they bring at the right moment the contract for you to sign. They tell you to read it but they don’t address any of the small printed areas which requests more attention.
And this is where the SCAM happens. In the contract it is not mentioned in detail what preferences need to be fulfilled by those contacts. It only says contacts. In the court ANY CONTACT (good or bad) is valid. It is then debatable if the provided contact was someone you liked or not, legally they have provided what you signed for. And the proof for that are the feedbacks that you send them.
So many people ask me how is it possible that these scumbags are still scamming people after so many years of complains. But my answer is simple: it’s all in the contract which doesn’t explicitly cover any of the «verbal agreements» and promises made by these crooks in the interview.
That’s why the only effort they put on each client is to make you sign the contract. From there on it’s just damage control.
That explains why they don’t have a database of clients, nor do they have the proper education for matchmaking. They are just sales people who make you believe that they can deliver what you hope for.
You sign the contract and you are screwed.
