Business Owner

I received my B.A. in Graphic Art, and went on to a 14-​year career as an illustrator and graphic designer. I was inspired to return to my first love of painting after visiting the great museums of Europe while on a 7-​month bicycling journey. I then studied oil painting, plein air painting and figure drawing under a variety of artists. I began to paint in oils full-​time in 1998.

My painting adventures have taken me across North America, Central America, Europe and North Africa. I settled down a bit once I moved my studio to the Art & Culture District of North Park in San Diego in 2007. Since then I have taught figure painting and plein air painting. I am currently co-​chairperson of the San Diego Chapter of the California Art Club.

My paintings have been exhibited and collected nationally and internationally. My work is represented by a variety of galleries and showrooms.
