The professionalism, top-​notch technology, high standards across the board, and personalized service that Tricia and Michael perform are simply unparalleled. I had been wanting to remove a 20-​year old, very large, dense, black «Catwoman» tattoo from my upper right shoulder blade for a number of years (see the May 12^th, 2016 pics). In the past I had looked into other removal possibilities, and had been frightened by the inconsistent results and methods. I had also been wary of the often predatory and expensive nature of the process.
From the moment that I had my first consult with Michael, his professional thoroughness, knowledge, and kind demeanor put me at ease. After inspecting my tattoo and assessing my current age and health status history, he explained my potential treatment plan in great detail, including every possible factor and element. In addition to describing the various laser and laser/​combo options available to achieve a positive result, he was knowledgable and up-​front about any potential pit-​falls we could run into due to unknown factors, like ink origin, and depth. I was thrilled to sign up for a treatment package that was affordable.
Before my treatment session, both Micheal and Tricia thoroughly prepared me for what to expect — my first meeting with Tricia in the treatment room was instantly relaxing. Her careful, funny (!), and calming manner guided me through the process with care and ease. Each subsequent treatment followed the same pattern of care, attention, and professionalism. I felt so taken care of, that I would actually look forward to going to my next session! I have recently gone in for my final 6^th treatment, and am so thrilled with the flawless results. So happy with my results at Tattoo Laser Removal Clinic!!! I was referred here by a well known Tattoo Artist that suggested I get laser removal first on a tattoo that I was asking to be covered up. I had two layers of ink from trying to cover it up before, the tattoo was like an undefinable blob, and realistically not something that could be covered up attractively. When the artist suggested I get laser treatment once or twice first, I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t have more instant results to cover it up, but honestly I am so grateful to be doing it the right way, and thankful for his honesty.
At first I was under the impression that laser removal was extremely expensive and very painful, but really it’s not that bad at all! I highly suggest to anyone that has a tattoo that they don’t care for to try looking into laser treatment first before trying to cover it up.
My experience here was so awesome! Michael and Patricia are really nice people, and also very professional. I’ve had some great conversations with Patricia while she performs the treatment, and she is such a sweetheart! She is super fast, and before you know it your done!
Yes, as other reviewers say– their office is very clean and bright, with a huge picture window with the most amazing view of Mission Bay! If you sign up on their email list, sometimes they have great discounts too!
After two treatments spread out over a couple of years due to having a baby that has kinda delayed me getting this awful tattoo fixed, it has faded out tremendously, and I am finally ready now to go back to that Tattoo Artist and get an awesome back piece done!

This place is the best! I has 8 treatments in Orange County prior to going to Tattoo Removal Laser clinic and my tattoos were still dark! I had 2 treatments with Patricia and my last and final one today! If you want to get your tattoo (s) removed with the least possible amount of treatment this please is the place!

Free advice: please be polite and courteous when dealing with potentially new customers on the phone. I wanted less than 60 seconds of your time on the phone. I wasn’t asking for a phone quote, I wanted you to explain parts of your process that your website does not. Even your website is condescending. Thank you for saving me the hassle.

I can’t be more pleased with incredible service I received here from Patricia and Michael. They exceeded my expectations beyond belief! The results have been incredible. Prior to my last treatment I moved to the Midwest. Still they were flexible with my schedule l, seeing as I am 2000 miles away, and made the last treatment a breeze. My experience at TRLC has been a positive one. I found them to be professional, courteous and fair. I have completed two sessions so far, and am pleased with the results. After both sessions, I noticed significant lightening and breaking up of the ink. Michael and Patricia are very knowledgable about the tattoo industry and the options for removal. They are quick to share their knowledge and experience, and do so without unfair bias or appearing pushy. The facility, equipment and atmosphere leaves nothing to be desired. When considering all aspects of the business, especially the end results, I am confident that TRLC is the best value in Southern California.

Unilocal should allow its users to award a 6^th star once every 12 months to a business that stands out above and beyond the rest, as the 5 star rating is tossed around way too liberally. TRLC would get my 6^th star as they are exceptional in any field of business for their professionalism, sincerity, and a superior product/​service.
I have visited the clinic twice and both times had a great results from a procedure conducted by experienced professionals in a comfortable, hygienic environment. Patricia (who actually wields the laser) is one of the most caring, knowledgable, and experienced practitioners out there and the results have exceeded my expectations. I’ve had great outcomes from both ink (lots of it) put on by an artist as well as an accidental face tattoo received from asphalt oils during a bike wreck.
Does the procedure itself hurt? Yes, at times it hurts like hell, but Patricia makes it hurt as little as possible and each subsequent procedure hurts even less than the previous one. Once you break the ice, it’s all downhill from there.
Regarding breaking the ice: Michael provides a very detailed and thorough briefing on what to expect and how to maximize the effectiveness of the procedure. I recommend following the directions exactly as he and Patricia tell you because they’ve probably been removing tattoos longer than you’ve even had yours; adhering to what they tell you will give you the best results possible. Don’t be in a rush, it will take more time than you’d like, but one day the ink will all be gone and you’ll be a new person.
I read a negative review below about someone who was upset at Michael for telling her the truth. The truth is that as of August 2015 the technology does not exist to treat certain kinds of tattoos on certain areas of the body or to treat people with certain pre-​existing physical conditions or unhealthy lifestyles. I’m blown away that any potential client would be upset that TRLC was honest with them, as many other clinics would be happy to take their money, treat them anyway, and make excuses afterwards.
Patricia and Michael actually care about their patients and not just giving it a shot and seeing what happens at your body and wallet’s expense. The good news is that the vast majority of you will qualify for the treatment and will be stoked on the results and the new you.

After just one visit one of my tattoos was virtually gone and there was a huge lightening in the second tattoo treated. The customer service provided is the highest level I have ever received and I know customer service! Throughout my treatment the doctor is explaining everything and really making me feel comfortable and relaxed. The equipment is the most updated and always impeccably clean!

I’m literally so confused by the encounter I just had. I had my consult, everything seemed a-​ok. I understood the risks & benefits & all that goes into having to remove a tattoo. I spent about an hour discussing all that with the front desk guy.
Come to the day of the first appointment and his song & dance has become A LOT more doom & gloom as I walked in the door. Now he’s saying it can ONLY be a fade & that I should DEFINITELY go get a consult w/​a place that has another laser. Yes, while we did our consult, he mentioned the other laser, but with all the expectations & information by the end of the Appointment, I went home, thought about it, did some research of the laser he suggested (it does best on black & blue inks, but he said they were good w black as well & I don’t have blues), & called back to booked my first appointment. They seemed like the best, most knowledgable for the job and he’d said we could remove it or get very close, it just may take more treatments. I was in for the long haul & I knew it.
There were things working both for and against me with the tattoo… I have light colored skin, the fact that some of the color has already faded, I scar & heal well. The againsts were that it does have color (pink, minimal yellow & brown) & that they’re on my feet, far away from my heart. Who knew that was w factor?!
Today, there was a lot more, «this is a very difficult tattoo. The most difficult. You have all the cards stacked against you. We can only fade it.»
So no guarantee of results quickly changed to a guaranteed, poor result. S-​T-​R-​A-​N-​G-​E
Now, I’m not sure if this is the speech he gives everyone, one last scare tactic perhaps?
But on the phone earlier in the week & again in the office this morning he was much, much more trite & rude. Not to mention when doing his doom & gloom speech he said «the green & blues» I have «are VERY difficult to remove»… Hmm… Nope, I don’t have those colors. Try again.
So, then when I reminded him of the colors I have, he said, «oh Ya, those are even worse» what?! I specifically recall him saying their lasers weren’t great on blue/​green — that’s what the Picosure Laser was best at, and that they’ve had great success removing reds & those are usually the first to go. Even in their pics available, the reds faded first.
Then it was bc it’s pink & they don’t know if the tattoo artist mixed it with white… Well, in my consult, I’d already mentioned I did have white in my tattoo & all the white had disappeared already (which he said was a good sign).
I excused myself to call my husband & we both felt it just seemed too weird today. Too different & too unwelcoming to continue w/​the experience. I went back in to discuss & the front desk guy was again pretty rude & didn’t so much as try and discuss anything further. Just didn’t even care & practically interrupted me to just dismiss me away.
It’s a real shame. I was very excited about being able to continue to add to the great reviews as an Elite, but must say my experience was poor.
Not for the «not hearing exactly what I want» aspect, I’m a big girl, I know they can’t guarantee results… But for the rude manner in which I was treated. I know what I was told & what was discussed & the tone, words, vibe, customer service (whatever else you want to call it) CHANGED. And I understand if they need to do a disclaimer, but good lord… Being unwelcoming in your place of business as I’m coming in to start a year plus relationship, about to drop a couple grand minimum and am nervous & scared about the whole painful ordeal of the laser & healing process regardless?
Geeeeeeeeeez… Maybe try a smidge of bedside manner? A smile? Possibly allowing me to actually read the disclaimer I was supposed to sign before you step on your soapbox of doom? And IF he didn’t want to schedule me in the first place, cancel the dang appointment. It’s a 40 minute drive from my house!

I have been a patient here for over a year and have nothing but GREAT things to say. Everything from my first consultation to each and every treatment: PERFECT. In high school, I accidentally stabbed my chin with a mechanical pencil and parts of the graphite embedded under the skin. Ever since, I have always been a bit self-​conscious of the dark mark on my chin. With new medical advancement of development of laser treatment in the dermatology and cosmetic field, I decided to remove the «traumatic tattoo» with laser treatment, avoiding invasive and potentially scarring surgical procedures. I have had 2 treatments at the Tattoo Removal Laser Clinic, and although the treatments cleared dark pigmented skin around the trauma region, it failed to remove the graphite itself, which can still be seen under the skin when I purse my lips together.
I know that laser treatments results vary from individual to individual based on skin type, skin tone, ethnicity, medical history and etc. And from before and after photos and patient reviews, it is known that the Tattoo Removal Clinic does a stellar job in tattoo removal.
From my own case, although my traumatic graphite pencil tattoo was not completely removed by laser treatment, I am still very impressed by the professionalism, cleanliness and care demonstrated by the Tattoo Removal Laser Clinic. Michael was very detailed in explaining the procedure beforehand, and Nurse Practitioner, Patricia, made the actual laser treatment feel very zen and spa-​like. It is one of the most calm medical procedures that I have been through.
Laser treatment might not work for my own case, but if anyone has a traumatic or art tattoo that needs to be removed, I would direct them to the Tattoo Removal Laser Clinic.
