Although 2015 is our first year in business, Robert has been in the industry for over 7 years, having serviced over 7 thousand homes. Robert continuously attends classes to ensure he is aware of and using the latest technology, methodology, and equipment available in the industry. I called Steam vs Soil to clean my carpet after some suspected flea issues. Robert came out and did an excellent job. He throughly cleaned the carpet and also added a flea treatment. I was very satisfied with his professionalism and his communication. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use their services again.

I used a carpet cleaning company for the last two years and I started getting billed for work that wasn’t done. I’m responsible for a 12 unit apartment complex in Mission Beach. I was referred to this company through a friend who owns property nearby.
I called them and Robert was sent out. I had three units that I wasn’t sure if I should replace or clean so we walked through the units and Robert had a solution for all my concerns. I even had a tenant leave a curling iron burn in the middle of the living room in one unit and Robert assured me he could take care of it.
Robert was confident and professional and informed me he had maintained several apartment complexes throughout San Diego.
So we agreed on a price and I gotta say I was very impressed he cleaned and removed stains, kicked out ripples with that carpet tool and magically made a curling iron burn disappear without a trace!
When it comes to carpet issues this should be your go to guy, anyway just wanted to thank Robert at Steam Verses Soil.

I called Steam vs Soil to clean my carpet after our sweet elderly dog started to have accidents in our home. I was worried that we would have to replace everything, but Robert was able to make it look like new again. We are sensitive to some chemicals, too, and Robert kindly took the extra time to discuss various nontoxic cleaning options that would work for us.

I was referred to Robert by numerous «mommy friends» (the best kind of referral). Our renter moved out, leaving our carpets soaking wet (from attempting to clean them 2 days before) and smelling like dog. Robert came over within hours of contacting him to assess the situation. He was extremely professional. Her performed a thorough inspection with a moisture meter, as well as pulled back the carpets to see that the paper tape under the carpets and the plastic-​covered padding were both still very wet. He initally recommended just drying out the carpets to see if it would help the smell. He brought over the industrial sized fans and installed them to blow air under the carpets overnight. When that failed to get rid of the smell, he did a great job systematically remediating the carpets over the next several days by cleaning them front and back. While he was there, we also had him clean the grout in the kitchen, and it turned out just as amazing as the carpets. We are so grateful to have found Robert, because we surely would have had to replace the flooring if it weren’t for his help.

This was a great experience all around after thinking my carpets were going to need to be replaced. My pup had dug up a portion of the carpet and soiled it in numerous areas. Robert came in, stretched the carpet oppose to taking some from my closet. He also repaired some of the nail strips that came loose under the carpet which helped to keep everything in place.
The cleaning was perfect and actually brought new life every room. His prices are great and can have things done is a pretty good timeframe. I’ll be using him again for sure, this is service you just don’t get from big companies.

I totally waited until last minute to schedule carpet cleaning and was pretty sure I was out of luck. Robert comes highly recommended from a local mom group so I decided to see if he was available. He fit us in, even working around my schedule. He was also able to accommodate us with having children who are super sensitive to smells. Our carpet looks AMAZING! Seriously looks new again. Our carpet has been in terrible shape since we moved in and Robert was recommended to me by many other mom’s I know. He was able to come the same day I called and his prices were competitive and very reasonable. I can’t even believe the difference! I heard about Robert through one of my friends that also had him clean his carpets and he worked miracles on my carpet it looks amazing! With having stains from my kids dropping juice and milk all the time and mess from my dog he made my carpet look brand new again! Robert came to clean our carpets today and they look better than the day we moved in! He got out stains that have been there for years. I really appreciated his attention to detail like explaining what cleaning products he uses (low-​VOC), checking about spot cleaning, and pointing out high traffic areas. Best of all, he was extremely patient with our toddler who wanted to «help.» It was extremely affordable, and he worked very efficiently. I will definitely be calling him again.

Robert came over to clean my living room carpet today and WOW! I admit to not really keeping up with my carpets, which I know is a mistake with a geriatric dog and two small kids. Plus the previous homeowner installed carpet in the dining area? Who DOES that?! Anyway, we called Robert and he came in on short notice to make my carpets look good for my family coming into town. He asked me at every step whether or not I wanted this or that, and the price was very reasonable. Definitely going to call Robert again to do my grout and tile too!

i was referred to robert by several people who said that he does an excellent job and they were right! my carpets haven’t looked this clean in a long time.
i’m usually pretty good about getting the carpets in our house cleaned often… they’re white, we have a dog and a toddler, so it turns into a hot mess in here pretty quick. i slacked off though, so when robert showed up they were DIRTY and there were several food stains and dark, high traffic areas. also, there was a lot of dust around the edges of the carpets and i just got used to living with it because other carpet cleaners said there was nothing you could really do about that. robert not only removed all the stains (who knew mommy’s IPA would turn the carpet straight up brown?), he got all the dust off the edges of the carpets and it no longer smelled like my dog in here. i’m so happy with the job that he did.

Robert has been out to clean our carpets 3 times now, and has done an exceptional job, each time. He has also done our sofa twice and our tile, and I’m incredibly impressed with that work, as well. Our tile looks better than it did when we bought our home, 3 years ago, and my sofa looks brand new! His attention to detail and professionalism have far exceeded my expectations.
He has arrived exactly on schedule on all but one occasion, when his previous appointment was taking longer than anticipated. Robert contacted me right away to let me know, even though he would only be a few minutes late.
