First off, I would like to thank John Wescott (619) 654‑1305 and his crew for all their hard work during the process of a complete tear off and replacement of my roof last week (right in time before the boogieman «El Nino» arrives). Everyone did an outstanding job, were attentive and I could not be more thrilled with the results of all their efforts. I am happy to highly recommend them to anyone who is searching for an honest roofing contractor who knows the business of roofing and takes pride in their work. In addition to the GAF Timberline Ultra HD composite shingles (Birchwood), I had two GAF low profile vents and a GAF dual-​powered solar attic fan installed for ventilation which should help my A/​C not work so hard and provide a totally different experience this coming summer of 2016. Like Alexia B., I bid out my roof to more than several different roofing contractors and «East County Roofing» had the best price by a couple thousand of dollars. It was such a pleasure to have them working on my roof I was sorry to see them go! Can’t say that about too many men with power-tools…hahaha! We went with East County Roofing for our 2^nd home and have absolutely no regrets!!! Through the entire process owner John and his crew have kept us informed as to what is going on and what we can expect. Customer service is on point and we couldn’t be happier with our new beautiful white roof that will help repel all the heat! AND TO TOP IT OFF THEY CAME IN ABOUT $ 2,000 LOWER ON OUR BID than all the other companies we checked with yet delivered a high quality roof and amazing customer service! I was pleasantly suprised that they had a crew member clean up daily at the end of each shift making sure there was no trash or loose nails outside. Bonus points, we dealt with 2 days of down pours during the construction process. Owner was here 2x a day checking on everything to ensure there were no leaks! We received the lowest quote and a very high quality roof by East County Roofing in March. The owner, John Wescott, was on the site working along side his workmen throughout the process to ensure it was completed as we wanted it. He and his workmen were all very attentive and polite. We opted for the GAF Timberline Extra Thick Ultra High Definition Shingles which come with a lifetime warranty by GAF. They look great on the house and now we can forget about the roof in our retirement.
We highly recommend you give John a call and get a quote. John is a licensed roofing contractor and provided us with a start date and finish date (four days total) in writing on the contract. They were on time to work on our roof every day starting at 7am and finished on time, four days later.
