Went here after our Sunday fun day trip to the aquarium. I like how they have locally sourced options as well as vegetarian options. I chose the veggie Brie panini and it was delicious. My fiancé had a passion Yerba mate and he really enjoyed it. Knocked off a star because most of their sandwich items were out of stock with fat lines drawn through their sandwich menus. Makes me wonder how often they get orders in although I didn’t ask why things were off the menu.

All genuinely caring people work there and the food is delicious(got the chicken panini and bag of chips). The prices are a little high but the earnings do go to a good cause

Make sure you eat anywhere else before getting to the aquarium. Had a turkey dog-gross. Also got the kids meal– turkey and cheese sandwich, the bread was cold and stale.

Located outside of the main entrance to the Birch Aquarium lies this relaxing little outdoor place, called the Splash Café. At first glance, you look up at the menu board; Check out the food prices and say«ughh». It wasn’t really a shocker, but it’s pretty darn close to amusement park type of pricing. They offer cold sandwiches, grilled paninis, hot dogs, chili cheese dogs, turkey dogs, pizza, nachos, salads, cookies, brownies, breakfast pastries, fruits, coffee, lattes, teas, sodas, juices, and ice cream. They’ve also have Lunch combos for $ 9.95 and Kid’s Meal combos for $ 7.95 I can’t say much about the food, as I only bought a $ 2.50 bottle of water and a Naked Juice for $ 3.75 :) As far as I know, a lot of the profits go to to support our ocean conservation efforts. Which explains the pricing, but at least its for a good cause. I think the best feature, however, is the seating /patio area. The chairs are plastic, but colorful. Heavy too, good quality! Some tables with umbrellas, some without. No issue with service as well! A typical place to eat and relax after exploring the aquarium.
