I’m only having coffee but have to award them 5 stars! Why? Because at 3pm though they didn’t have decaf drip coffee, the cashier offered to make me a decaf Americano for the same price as a regular small coffee! Sweet. Also, cashier and barrista were very friendly. And, very large seating area with tables, couches and counter. And, very clean. And, two toilets inside for patrons. And, oh yeah, the coffee was very good too!

I asked for hot black English Breakfast tea and discovered I had been given decaf! Also the blueberry scone was overcooked and tasted slightly burned. Not a good experience.

I love it here! I now eat here almost every morning. The food is great, coffee is so much better than any others, and the staff here r amazing and genuinely seem to care.

I come here a lot since I work across the street. Some days they have great customer service, but lately their service has been lacking. Even though you are at the cashier to pay, a worker will start taking orders from people behind to try to increase efficiency. Bad plan because that just placed my order behind the 3 people behind me in line. Lame.

Love the fact that you can order your food online and it’s waiting for you by the time you get there. I always get the Cobb Salad and Black & White cookie. Those are my faves! Highly recommended checking this spot out for lunch.

Love the sandwhiches. fast and convenient. Only reason they only get 4 stars is because they forgot to give me my complete order one time, but it was resolved with an extra treat :)

The salads, soups and sandwiches are good here. Clean fresh and made on-site. The place is easy to get to and it has a lot of seats inside to eat with a group or eat solo. Most to the clients during the week are people that work in the area. What I enjoy most about this place is the ordering process here on-site or on their web site is easy and each item you order can easily be added to a your favorites profile. I mostly order online because you can put the time you plan on picking up your order and it is ready for you with your name tagged on the bag on a to-go shelve. Ordering inside is very easy. Just swipe your CC on the kiosks and you can pick and choose as well as customize your order.

Specialty’s is a good place to grab a quick lunch if you’re in a rush. The employees are very friendly, but unfortunately the food just isn’t that great. Specialty’s has a good array of sandwiches, salads, and soups. There is also a Peet’s coffee attached, which is always convenient. Their fruit cups are usually soggy, which is a bummer because it’s one of the only super healthy snacks available. However, the pastries and sweets are delicious. The cookies are very tasty and the employees will even heat them up for you, too. It’s hard to resist when you’re just trying to make a coffee run.

I wish I could review each thing sold separately. The tea and pastries here are excellent, especially the cookies. I especially love the wheat germ chocolate chip, though it had the most calories of all the cookies, and the semi sweet chocolate chip. The muffins are almost all on the oily side, expect the banana oatmeal. The sandwiches are okay, but not inspired. If you can walk farther, you’ll get a better sandwich. The vegetarian sandwiches are more disappointing than the meat sandwiches, expect the peanut butter sandwich, which literally has 1000 calories. The soups are decent, but the regular serving usually leaves me hungry, even with the focaccia bread. I recommend the chicken Santa fe soup and Thai chicken soup. The salads always have fresh vegetables, but the salads are more creative and have better dressings at tender greens. The best part about this restaurant is the online ordering and quick pick up. The website has it’s flaws, however, when you want to customize. For those reasons, I’m only giving three stars. Perhaps I have just been here so much over the years that it’s gotten old. Still, it’s reliably decent and fast.

Came in for a late breakfast. Ordered the $ 5 bacon & egg sandwich. Was given a buzzer. When it went off 5 minutes later, I stood in the«pick up» line. After another 5 minutes, I was at the front and presented my buzzer. I was informed that the line was only for coffee pick up. «How would I know that?» I asked the girl behind the counter. «The only pick up sign is right here.» She didn’t even answer; she just stood there. Panera is next door. Try that instead.

Love this place. The prices are super reasonable and the place is very clean. Their coffees and lattes are very good and specially made for your particular liking. I always ask for a splash of soy and just a pump of hazelnut. I tried their spicy thai peanut salad with the dressing on the side and it was very good and reasonably priced. I couldn’t finish it, so I took the rest home. There is plenty of seating, but I imagine it can be very busy during lunch hours. Free wi-fi.

Ordered a thai salad, quite possibly the worst salad ever made. Why do they think shredded cabbage, carrot and peanut is «Thai.» They should price it accordingly at 1.99 and not 7.99. overpriced, will never return for that bad salad. I left hungier than when I entered and frustrated that I spent too much for sub-par food. Good thing they have Peets coffee.

Prime JURYDUTY lunch spot. Downtown around the courthouse isn’t a great place for lunch especially if you’re dining alone. However, a short walk and you have a place you can get wide range of lunch foods + treats. I liked this place so much I ate here for both days of my duty service. — Plenty of seating, expecially for solo diners. — Lots of professionally dressed women pick up lunch here. — Splurge, get a cookie.

I’m only giving them a star for convenience. I work in the investment building connected to Specialty’s…so why not run down to grab a quick breakfast? I ordered online and 15 minutes later I pick up my 2 orders of quiche(one ham, one cheese) a piece of ciabatta bread and a Smartwater. Oooooook, first thing I see stapled on my bag is the fact they gave me a roasted veggie quiche instead of ham, for my «convenience». They switch things all the time in order to push out orders without the effort of preparing what YOU requested. Whatever, I’m down for new things. I get back to my office and unwrap the coldest food I’ve ever been served, seriously. The quiche was stiff and congealed. The ciabatta could have passed as a tan rock. I microwaved everything and took a few bites before realizing I was going to be sick. On a bright note, the Smartwater was delicious and cold! Best part of my breakfast.

Expensive sandwiches and cookies… but KILLER cookies even if it costs you $ 3 for one, you should try the white chocolate macadamia nut heated! SO fresh, SO soft, and SO good. I quickly ate it before the sandwich! I’ve been to the Specialty in UTC(near my old work) and now have this one(near my new work). I usually opt for the Chicken pesto sandwich. The chicken pesto tasted like it should, delicious! The one in UTC always and I mean always give me some kind of food bug when I get that sandwich, must be how they are washing their spinach or their pesto sauce or I’m just chicken pesto cursed, but surprisingly this one doesn’t! So now I’m back into the Specialty’s good food graces and will be returning… I know I know… Don’t expect to leave this place without spending at least $ 10 for lunch! Add that savory white chocolate macadamia nut cookie too. It’ll be worth the price.

Quick service, great food, very reasonably priced. This is one of my favorite places to eat downtown. I order the turkey pesto sandwich and sub the muenster cheese for feta cheese(I’m often told they can’t do this, but they can… they use feta on the salads, so they have it haha.) My friend is obsessed with the turkey bacon apple brie. The bakery is also delicious, but dangerous. My favorite cookie — the oatmeal chocolate chip — is 480 calories for one cookie. Worth it? Your call… You can order at ipads or from a person. Since I have my weird feta cheese thing, I tend to go to the person. Either way… it’s in the same price range as Panera, but the lines are shorter.

On our very first Girls’ Weekend morning, we saw Specialty’s was closest to the hotel & we NEEDED coffee Sad to see they’ve all replaced Intelligentsia w/Peets but decided to take the plunge — BFF got a house drip & said it was fine I chose a triple shot latte & it was way too weak which was really strange since I’ve never had to opt for a 4th shot in Peets coffee… They were nice enough to give me the 4th shot free of charge — but it was only because they couldn’t find a way on their registers to charge me the $ 0.75 «extra shot» charge after the fact & an espresso was something like $ 2& I wasn’t about to pay another $ 2 for that coffee… so they said heck w/it. We’ll just let you have it & I was okay w/that So for 1 hit &1 miss, we get an average 3-Stars But still… didn’t return. Instead, we researched /found local coffee shops the rest of the weekend

Lucifer: ‘They die, and they come here — having transgressed against what they believed to be right — and expect us to fulfill their desire for pain and retribution. I don’t make them come here… I need no souls. And how can anyone own a soul? No, they belong to themselves. They just hate to have to face up to it.” The Sandman — Neil Gaiman Starbucks or Specialty’s? I’m a bit hungry and Unilocal is showing Specialty’s has 4 stars… It was 4pm and I bought the last cinnamon roll at Specialty’s I snuck it into the movie theatre and started munching away as the lights went down. The first bite and I bit into some hard crust when I was expecting a silky smooth exterior. The inside was hard and dry as well. There wasn’t much flavor other than the sugary icing. Worst cinnamon roll ever. 2 more hours. Keep eating or wait for dinner… 2nd visit Looking for a snack after lunch so I thought I’d give this place another try. I was looking in the pastry case when I noticed flies with the same idea. I left empty handed. My desire for food was gone. Zero stars.
