Southwest Rain Gutters was founded in January 1999 by JT Ikonen, a U.S. Navy veteran who was introduced to the sheet metal trade in the Navy where he spent 4 years fine tuning his sheet metal craftmanship.
After an honorable discharge from the Navy, he applied his knowledge to architectural sheet metal and metal roofing design. With more than a decade of learning and applying the trade in both commercial and residential settings, he started Southwest Rain Gutters, a rain gutter and sheet metal business in San Diego, with the issuance of C-43 license #764 900 from the California State License Board.
