They are honest, thorough, friendly and professional. Both DR Bridget and Steven are fantastic and I never hestitate to see either one of them. Bev, my dental hygenist, is above and beyond. She always does a thorough cleaning, and is very friendly and just a pleasure.

Everyone at this office is amazing! I am new to the country and had the same dentist in Canada since I was little girl. Dr. Steven Hurst was recommended to me and I’m so glad I listened.
They are extremely honest too. When I went today it turned out my insurance paid $ 20 more than expected so they reimbursed me! Not sure if I’d have noticed but really appreciated this!

I’ve been going here for over 35 years. I started seeing Dr. Tom Hurst and enjoyed his service for 2 or so decades until his son, Steve joined the practice. It’s as good as you could possibly hope for. I’ve never had anything but a great experience here… and that goes for cleanings as well.

I saw Dr. Bridget Hurst for the first time a few weeks ago for an routine checkup. I was very pleased with the care I received and with the cleaning I received from dental hygienist Robyn. Dr. Hurst was friendly and cheerful, and I will continue going to this dental practice.

I started seeing Dr. Tom Hurst some 43 years ago. That says all there is to say, right?! I’m so glad Dr Steven and Dr Bridget joined Dr Tom because I just could not have coped with finding another dentist. The 3 dentists and all of the staff are wonderful. The fact that most of the staff have been there for many many years tells you all you need to know, too.

We recently had a dental emergency on a holiday weekend. Dr. Hurst returned our calls from their clinic in Mexico. My husband was squeezed in asap and referred to the necessary specialists who were also urged to squeeze us in asap. Much, much appreciation for the conscientious, compassionate and comprehensive care we received!

in my 71 years, i have never found a more caring dentist and such a friendly staff. Dr. Steve has an implant program which I took advantage of. So much better than reasonable pricing.
I have 9 new implants and still have money in my pocket.
If you need implants, do not miss this opportunity to have a great smile again.

Best dentist in San Diego

First visit today. I don’t usually write any reviews unless the service is very good or very bad. In this case, it was excellent. The reception staff was friendly, cheerful and attentive. The office itself, was tastefully painted and decorated-​providing a nice ambiance. Dr. Hurst listens, is patient and is very honest and straightforward with his opinions. He definitely takes into account patient’s financial limitations and insurance limitations. No upsells!!! Eileen the dental hygienist, has hands of an angel. One of the most meticulous and gentle cleaning I’v had in years. Valentin, the radiology technician was very professional and accomodating. Doctor Hurst is not only going to be my dentist but also my family dentist.
If you are looking for good dental care, this is the place to go. I wish I could have found them years ago!!!

Went for a cleaning today with Robyn and was very impressed! She was thorough, professional and informative. This was my first appointment at this dental office and I have to admit, I have never experienced a hygienist be so informative throughout the whole process. She explained the tools she was using, the process, explanation on bacteria, how it develops, how long it takes to cultivate, what to do so that it doesn’t grow. I was extremely impressed. It was a painless quick, easy process. The office was very clean, the staff was very friendly, from the front staff, the dental assistant to the Dr. Steve. I definitely recommend them and will be back in 6 months. Can’t believe I’m excited about going back to the dentist!

Excellent facilty and care but I didn’t like their numbing process.
Dr. Hurst injected the numbing agent in my gums and the pain lasted for 7 days!
At any other place, it’ll usually go away the next day.
Good for cleanups and examinations

My whole family used to go here, that is a lot of us, since we were kids. They are such an easy recommendation.
They are warm and kind. Father, Staff and now the Son and his Wife. I never had any fear of the dentist, I liked going, and I remember the little tooth brushes they gave me.
Ahead of the curve that people now know that fluoride is bad/​toxic– Dr Hurst told me I didn’t need fluoride toothpaste as a kid. I have bright white teeth and all i use is baking soda and water, to brush.

People of all ages… are you afraid of the dentist? If you answered yes, then please come to this place. I promise you your answer will change to «no» and you will find yourself actually enjoying the dentist.
Crazy, I know… I know, *sigh* but trust me on this. I have never been a person who is jumping for joy & yippee to go sit in the dentist chair and after one visit for a cleaning a few weeks ago, I am now that person.
From the second you walk in, the receptionist is so welcoming & friendly. They make you feel like they have known you for ages. You will get seen very quickly with no wait time. However, even if you were to wait a minute or so, they have an amazing stock of magazines & the chairs are so comfy you will be content.
Overall, cleaning was painless, quick, and I was in & out and on my way to the nearest candy bar (just kidding no candy for me)! Definitely recommend this dentist for all of your teethes needs.

I’m phobic about dentistry. I get anxious when people with sharp instruments approach my mouth! 0-​: Recently I paid $ 97 to have my teeth cleaned by Eileen S, an RDH or Registered Dental Hygienist at the office of Dr. Steven Hurst, DDS. Eileen S is skilled with a sharp instrument, careful and gentle. She didn’t stab my gums. (-; She didn’t torture me. I survived the appointment. I even plan to return! Ok I might have squeezed the arm of the chair so hard that I strangled the poor thing, but I made it through the appointment!
Eileen had a LOT of cleaning to do because I have avoided my dentist for over 2 years! My teeth are clean now, yay!
The front desk staff at Dr. Hurst’s office are patient and caring with me. They recommended that I try Eileen, and she’s a great match for me. I asked the staff for a separate appointment for X-​rays, because I wanted my cleaning appointment to be as stress-​free as possible.
I like the dentist here, Dr. Steven Hurst, because he listens and answers my questions. I first came to him for a second opinion several years ago because my previous dentist thought my tooth needed a filling, but instead of talking to me about it, my previous dentist communicated to the hygienist instead of to me! So I went to Dr. Steven Hurst for a 2^nd opinion, and he took digital x-​rays, and said my tooth was fine, and didn’t need work, but they would watch it. Gotta love a dentist who DOESN’T wanna drill my teeth!
Dr. Bridget Hurst is good too, but I met Dr. Steven Hurst first, and I’m used to him.
Several of my relatives have come to this office, and they like it too. There are many other great hygienists there too. But when you’re phobic like I am, you really need the right person, and Eileen S is the right match for me.
SUGGESTION: It would be great if soft, relaxing music could be played in the room while my teeth are being cleaned. Also, if they really want to go high tech, they could add a screen which shows a series of relaxing scenes, such as a waterfall, or a sail boat floating in the sea!

Doctor Steve has a real talent for dentistry! This has been my favorite dentist office since I was a little kid. Doctor Steve is a second generation dentist in this office and his wife shares his practice too! Doctor Steve Never hurts me (I’m a real baby!) and is incredibly awesome at his craft!
I would recommend him to anyone and everyone, but I still need to be able to get an appiontment! :-) Thanks for the being the best Doctor Steven Hurst!
