I saw Kagan working on my neighbor’s car and talked to him. Her car looked fabulous, so I arranged an appointment to have mine detailed. He was here on time, worked hard, and the car is spotless. I can be proud of it again! Whatever problems there may have been with coupons in his past, I can say that his work is excellent. Give him a chance to build his business.

I was dead wrong, he is not a good guy! Below is the message I received only days after posting my initial review. Furthermore, this guy has the nerve to try to take down this Unilocal page and when he couldn’t changed the name of his company to profanity attacking his reviewers! I find it hilarious that he’s constantly saying how he makes no money off these LivingSocial vouchers, however he’s continuously being advertised on their services page. At this pt I think LS is just as much to blame for advertising this terrible business!

I hadn’t cleaned the exterior of my car since last September (ten months). I looked around for the least expensive deal I could find, hoping I’d get lucky and pay less while getting a good detail. That’s exactly what I got. Epic detail and super quick. My car looked new and he even got a large scuff out of my rear panel at no extra cost. Super nice guy; does awesome work!

I had a great experience from making a reservation to getting my car sparking clean and spiffy! He honored my Livingsocial deal. He called to confirm my appointment the day before and the detailer showed up exactly on time. He did a phenomenal job on my car, which was in dirty, sad shape. The aegean blue sparkles from afar! I was in a parking lot and I could see my shiny car from 3 aisles away! I will definitely give them repeat business!

I wish negative stars were possible.
This person sold a deal through Livingsocial.
I was foolish enough to buy a voucher for auto detailing.
I was burned last year by another livinsocial merchant offering the same deal.
This person would not return calls or messages.
Eventually did respond, saying he was out of town and would not say when (or if) he would return.
He must not need the business because he told me to ask for a refund instead of setting an appointment.

I purchased a full car detail from SBMD from Living Social and called and spoke to Kagan to make my appt. All good so far then about 10 min later he sent me a text saying he was going to have to reschedule, ok no problem. My appointment was today at noon. At 10:41 I got a text from Kagan saying he couldn’t get home from a trip and could we reschedule for next Friday. I told him that wasn’t good for me and I was disappointed. His response?
«Disappointed? I am sorry lady but life happens, get a refund if you’re not happy». So ends the story, I did call and get a refund.

TOTALLY unprofessional.
Merchant missed three scheduled appointments. I missed two days work.
Misrepresents the company to be much larger than it truly is, which in reality is just him and some mystery employee who is without a watch or a phone… it was always this emplyee’s fault, or so he said.
Does most of his communication via text. Can’t ever get a straight answer out of this guy. I WOULD recommend this company to my worst enemy but never to a friend.
Avoid like the plague.

The earlier 1 star review stands. It is poor business practice to sell a gift certificate and then renege on the deal and make your customers jump through hoops to get their money back. LOTS of texts asking me to change my review which were very annoying!
But now to review the detail itself.
After a couple of re-​schedules Kagan DID meet up with me and he DID agree to detail my vehicle for $ 70. I wanted him to concentrate on the interior and especially the back seat. He did a good job cleaning everything, but not any conditioner or armor all was applied to make it look freshly detailed. The outside was OK. Some bird spots were cleaned, but the residue from the cleaner remained. There were some black spots on the back bumper that needed a lot more attention. Overall I was happy with the service but can get just as good at the local car wash for the same price.
I would NEVER buy his gift certificates including these available here on Unilocal,but instead would call him directly to negotiate a fair price.

Extremely unprofessional. First of all, you should answer your COMPANY phone with a professional greeting, like saying the name of the company, so your caller knows he/​she has reached the right entity… not «Uh, hello?» The owner never had his calendar on him when I called, so making an appt was difficult. After we finally settled on a time/​date via text message, I called 10 minutes before my appt to confirm and was told they wouldn’t be coming because ‘his guy’ didn’t show up that day to work. Nice heads up, as I had rearranged my entire work schedule to be available at that time. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled (via text) for another day. I had to text my address to him several times, as he kept requesting it like he wasn’t keeping any record. A couple days later, I received a text that he is no longer honoring Groupons. (BTW Groupon would only give me a credit and not my money back which is a bummer since I don’t purchase Groupons frequently) I will admit that he offered the same pricing thru him directly for my scheduled appt, however I was looking for a good, reliable, professional company to detail my car 2−3x year and this is not the company I will choose. I respectfully cancelled my appt (via text) at which point his response was, shall we say, ‘less than professional.’

I just got my second detail yesterday and my car came out spotless! I think finding a good detailed can be hard to find! I’ve recommended a couple of my friends to south beach mobile detailing because I won’t trust anyone else with my car! I still have one more detail next weekend and I’m sure it will be just as good!

Bought my deal on Groupon, the deluxe deal, car was super dirty, and it came out super pretty and sparkling! Good, honest, hard working guy!

Kagan is a great guy who does great work. He is very personable, listening to the customers needs and has the best prices in town for what you get. I highly recommend him to anyone. Every time he works on my car, it feels like I have a brand new car.

Well south beach detailing did it again, a very nice job done on my Car & he came to my work place. Its a Very Hot day today and he didn’t let the Hot Sun get in the way of his Awesome work he does !!!

Very happy with the service and would use again. I have a black 2007 Toyota Camry. Black cars are sometimes difficult to treat since every little scrape and spec of dust shows up easily. South Beach Mobile Detailing did a great job on getting my car close to perfect.
They were helpful, convenient, quick and affordable. Best of all, the owner seems to love what he is doing. If you love what you do, you tend to do it well.
Definitely recommended!
